I doubt it was just that, as they did try to sort of pair him with Ellen Bethea's Rachel that summer while Nora was "dead". But I think as with most performers of color, JFP quickly lost interest in the character. Plus, IIRC Herve Clermont (Jared Hall*) could not act. * - Jared was allegedly Josh Hall's improbably fully-grown son.

They both got them, and they both were paired with two of Jill's top favorite men (one of whom she was sleeping with). To my recollection, Jill supposedly blamed Florencia for the pairing with Sykes not taking off, and I think had planned to off Téa in some lame storyline with Jared Hall had Roger Howarth not agreed to return.

Some are starting to do that. Supposedly the first tweet about making his own decisions came from Joe Scarborough, of all people, talking about Bannon being the one calling all the shots. Same morning, I believe, and Trump obsessively watches Scarborough's show. I think other personalities are more determined to rattle him than Joe though, who I think just hopes to tame him.

Karen Gillan appears to be taking a larger role as Nebula in the Guardians of the Galaxy sequel - presumably that means future career longevity for her, though she's been doing very well in American films/media in general, probably better than any other 21st century DW alumni.

I'm not absolving them of their sins, but CNN has come a long way in a very few months. They and MSNBC have kind of swapped places, while the latter pushes out talent of color for Greta Van Sustern and Megyn Kelly. And I do think CNN (and all media) have rapidly become disgusted with Conway especially. Meanwhile:
