I just told her what was true - that we'll get through this, that the hard work she and so many others did since Day 1 has paid off tremendously and this is just the last death spasm of these awful people's worst iteration because of the work so many of us did. There's a lot of work to be done from this disgrace, but we can and will do it. And I'm sure she'll be right there doing it. Nothing keeps my mother down for long.
