Griffith's writing is dull. I like the actor playing Moses so far. He has an"energy" about him. I liked the scenes with Sutton Ames. Amanda having a story that isn't just about a man, but about her family has a lot of potential. I'm hoping that we start to see her sister and her anger. The slow introduction of Amanda's family, carefully plotted, shows that the new writer on the team is structuring this. Griffith would have had the story at the finish line by now. Sharon needs a no-nonsense visit from her mother, Doris, to give her an eye-opener about her stupidity. Griffith neer does Sharon any favors with her stories. Sharon Case deserves better. Howarth shouldn't be brought back as Todd, Franko, Kent or any role on Gh now, as his image is tied to at least two characters that were misogynistic. Yes they retconned all of Franko's behavior with the brain tumor. This is the guy that made a career playing a rapist and a serial killer. It's not good optics, and it's about time something was done about it. I'm not saying he shouldn't get new roles, but GH needs to be willing to let go of the actor so his career isn't neutered by the characters in his past. He'd fit well on one of those Nickelodeon s*itcoms with his smirks and facial expression, he could be a goldmine. Neither Easton or Howarth deserve multiple characters when there is a plethora of past faces that could have been recast that (as I always said...). VIEWERS RECOGNIZE AND CARE ABOUT. We can all go back and forth about Sonny, Jason, and Carly, but at the end of the day TPTB will likely stay behind them. It's about time someone at ABC recognized that with his penny- pinching ways, Frank Valentini has been their biggest problem.

The show is in desperate need of a cast-trimming before adding more characters. Valentini prefers his retcon and new characters and doesn't give 2 f*cks about bringing back characters that actually used to be on the show. I hold little hope for Tom Hardy, Stephen Lars, Lucky or even A.J., characters recognized by long time fans. Drop Willow, Sam, Cyrus, Peter, Nina (let CW bring the full on crazy first), Brando, Gladys. put Finn on recurring, and leave RoHo in the heap of past cast members. I don't mind Cameron Mathison. As said, he's a serviceable character actor-- (he's just the "fit in his Hallmark movies" for the leads). He generally has chemistry with most of the actresses that he is paired with. Honestly, I was hoping it was Vincent Irizarry to be Finola Hughes' new love interest now that they finally ended the paint drying story of boring Finn and Anna. Recasting Josslyn with a stronger actress and adding a few recurring teens would be a wise decision, but this is FOOLISH FRANK IN CHARGE, so we'll see--as always. I'd imagine the money wasted on Howarth's salary could cast the teen set, but #firefrank needs to pay RoHo's mortgage, so........

Josh Morrow has one thing on this show that keeps him around. When he goes into Dad mode. When he isn't jumping around in his boxers (not that there's anything wrong with that). He plays the Dad role well. Not sucking up to Phyllis or screaming. You can see where he'll miss working with AAL.
