Today was fine.
Leo hitting on Shawn and playing to his non-existent jury was LOL. I don't mind.
Sonny/Alex have decent brother chemistry. I like how quick Alex was in saying Leo sexually assaulted Sonny and he wanted to go kick his ass. Sloan made me lol. I like her way more than I thought I would.
Not sure what drama Orpheus could give Kayla/Steve at this point unless he has the hots for her.
Nice to see Stephanie. When I started watching Beyond Salem2 I had no idea she was coming on the main show. Pretty sure she's slated for Alex, so, oy, we will see how that goes.
I like Billy Flynn and Chad; so sue me. I lol'd at Jada's (a great addition and she can act) reaction to people being held hostage in tunnels like it was nothing. Is Billy Flynn leaving? Not sure where Chad can go storywise?? Chad/Stephanie/Alex?
Jack SO wanted to suspect Gwen. It was nice to see Matthew Ashford pop up. Is he still recurring? Was also nice seeing Cady as Jennifer last week.
Do we know who killed Abigail? (I missed her murder). I take it it was Gwen, since they're having a point of characters saying it COULDN'T be Leo. "He's trash but not a murderer" is LOL. Nothing against Emily O'Brien at all but it seems Gwen doesn't have anywhere to go on the canvas.

It could just be a nostalgia thing with Jackie. They COULD use Bobbie way more than they do.
Kin's post, looking at it again, doesn't sound as 'end of the world' as it seems. The show HAS treated him like garbage over the years. We'll see. Scott/Obrecht is a good pairing but I have no interest in Josh Kelly's character being his kid. I had no interest in Franco being his either.

No but it's a step up from GH lol. We know FireFrank hates any characters thats not his pets. Look at Kin Shriner's twitter post, sounds like he's very unhappy right now
That's true.
Kin's post doesn't sound promising at all.

People please stop wishing her on that sh*tshow called GH, that's a step DOWN and they'd waste her like they do all their talent ie Rebecca Herbst for example
Let's not act like B&B is some amazing drama either

THIS! Plus it's rumored there's some vets leaving, so why would she want to come back to a show with an already bloated cast anyways
Who's rumored to be leaving?
She'd add some weight to the GH canvas though I have no doubt she could easily book other roles LOL

I don't blame her!

Would love her back on GH interacting with Amanda Setton. She can sex Chase up. LOL.

Still loving Zach in the role. He's such an upgrade. That's all. Perfection. Y&R was SO dumb to not use him. DAYS needs to use him more cause Zach has no problems getting gigs ...

Wallow as a character should have been killed around the end of Dawn of Duh. Her morbid fascination over Michael's son that led her to being his mother when her "Jonah" died the same night Wiley was born-- should have led her to an institution, not a happily ever after.
By the way, #firefrank we know Wallow was slated to be Nina's daughter from the start until you switched it to Nelle--and now have backtracked anyway.
I don't get where Twice a month Terry (uh-oh already 2 episodes) and Britt can see Wallow will be an excellent nurse. All she's done the past few months is walk around being snotty and judge-y to Nina, not nursing school....
CM's Drew has so little personality. He's nice to Carly. He doesn't even act like he likes her, or is it just that he's trying to play Ryan Lavery in Port Chuck. Even (I hate to say this) Killer Griller Filler Miller gave more to the role than CM is bringing. And yes, I'm choking on my words.
No one is clamoring for more appearances from Vanessa Mathison to continue either. There are plenty of actresses looking for day player parts. I mean Trish Ramish is making good coin in the background... and she doesn't get a plug from several outlets when she appears.
Didn't Spencer warn her about that parapet, I mean "Stay the f*** away from that doorway." She's lucky she just lost a slipper...
I wish they weren't writing Victor to be the "Big Bad". CS brings so much to the Cassadine table.
I know I wasn't the only one that saw TR stick his tongue out in that scene with Diane! We need more Robert. I also wish he had a scene telling ADA Arden she was being demoted and that Molly would be taking her cases.
Why aren't they using William Lipton more frequently during his break from school? Can we just let Joss screw up and bed down Dex (who calls her Trina when he gets passionate--LOL).
Hoping for a Lila Rae to come to town and romance Cam...
The lack of Chase this week, well...
Chase, his tight shorts and BLQ 's story needs to just get moving. It's been months and neither admits that they are even interested in each other. Yea, Nope.
Am I the only one that wishes Nina went up to the pool and tossed Michael out on his derriere? He's such a T**t .
Oh and Olivia is one of Sonny's oldest friends. Can she just grow up a little?
Cody isn't a terrible character and Josh Kelly is a good enough actor. They didn't need to tie him to Scott through Dominique. Only to badmouth Serena for spending her "inheritance"-- when she isn't even an on screen character.
BTW Dominique was only a beloved 90s character after SD took over the role. During the TFE time, Dom was just wishy washy, whiny and "there". It wasn't until Shell Danielson imbued a quiet strength into her. Her pairing with Kin Shriner was sweet- which is a word I don't generally use in a sentence with Scott Baldwin.
And finally, Hooray for the Ashford/Robinson clans! And yes, Jordan it's about time you pitched in and kept Rory away from Oz's door long enough for Portia to do her thing. The repercussions from Portia's actions, though, we'll see. Now Rory will have an opportunity as Spencer makes license plates... or will he?
@KMan101 welcome back!
Thank you for the welcome back!
Chase has tight shorts you say?
What a waste of BLQ and Chase; seriously.
I missed the mention of Molly. Good to hear. They seem to be using TJ more.
I liked what I saw of Dominique and Scotty (through YouTube, of course). He truly loved her. But she was just 'there'. Cody should have been Katherine and Mac's. Too bad they wasted Logan back in 2006/2007. I get that vibe from Kelly. He would have made a good recast of Logan.

Why do you think Rena is out? I thought they were going with Quarter.
As for Sheila, this story is just so insane. They took Sheila too far to where she needs to be written off. I don’t know how they’ll work their way out of it, if they keep her.
Thought I saw it on social media; probably shouldn't have put much stock into it

Belle and Chloe are friends and Chloe's back with Brady. I did like she went to Chloe in July, but other times they act like strangers with little to talk about.
Belle didn't seem at all jealous of Jada in her talk with Eric last week.

It could be pieced together in one long tale involving so many people
Belle begins to realize that she still has feelings for EJ. At the same time, she notices the chemistry between Shawn and Jada, who's getting closer with Eric, which pisses off Nicole and ultimately Rafe.
But instead of talking to Shawn or Eric about it, she's just becomes a ho for EJ again Who at the same time is preoccupied with Ava and getting her Dimera shares, who at the same time is sleeping with Johnny, which upsets Chanel and then Allie. And when EJ finds out about that, he sleeps with Belle and we get that WTD's storyline that everybody wanted.
Sounds ambitious, but I think the writing team can pull it off.
They could definitely do that. And should. And I'm guessing it goes without saying Belle ends up knocked up. It's an easy 9 months, plus Jan could cause trauma and tension which Ron would be all over. A little too soon for a baby after the Jan/Evan mess but you just know she ends up pregnant.

True, Guza's GH (and going all the way back to Monty) would have had something like this - with relatively few beats to play out - done and dusted by the end of May at the latest and most likely even sooner.
While the Claudia Zacchara murder investigation also took a while to get Sonny to trial, there were more a lot more beats to play out - such as Franco, Sonny shooting Dante etc.
I do agree that the prolonged nature of the story has allowed TA to settle into the role and the audience a chance to get used to her in the role, so that is a positive.
Guza was so destructive but at least there were storylines.
I can see that, it did allow TA to settle in the role. She's doing a fantastic job.

Yep. That's why I'm hoping that Belle/EJ, which was one of the things that I liked, isn't finished yet.
I liked it too. Martha played Belle so thirsty for EJ's nether region lol.

Actually it's there's more hope for Ms. Rowell returning than before, I think?
She was in a CBS primetime series, Yes regular broadcast primetime CBS!
this past season! Series named "Good Sam"."Good Sam" was about a father and daughter who were both heart surgeons. The father was played by the actor who was Gabriel Lorca on season one of Star Trek Discovery - and this heart surgeon was just as smug and arrogant as Lorca. The daughter was played by Sophia Bush and she tried her best, but the dialog writing was atrocious. Victoria Rowell appeared as recurring in at least 6 episodes as a member of the hospital board.
VR did well but the show was awful and was cancelled. I watched every episode *only* to support the show because I wanted to support VR.
At any rate, VR seems to be able to connect with CBS now. Not sure how she feels about Sony.
VR is directing and producing a lot. She was directing/and/or producing a Christmas movie to be released in 2023. Leigh-Ann Rose (Y&R's Imani Benedict) is in that movie.
There was a picture of them (VR and L-A R) on the movie set watching the Daytime Emmys
and cheering on Mishael Morgan when Mishael won the best actress Emmy in June.I keep hoping ... but ...
Although I want Drucilla back on Y&R ...
I'd wait until the show gets better. Right now VR deserves better than Y&R.Not a big CBS watcher so I had no clue, lol, but I was fairly busy this June/July.
VR definitely deserves better hands down.

That's the problem: Ron's checked out.
The show could be really good right now, and while there's stuff going on that I like, it's just being handled so poorly.
July had *some* energy. August is lacking big time.

I'd take Ron over Higley anyday.
Many writers likely don't want the job.
He's serviceable but checks out fast.
Corday must be golfing but that's probably a good thing.

I have to agree with the nuSummer praise, she has truly fit in perfectly.
Watching again, for some reason, and I like her a lot. More than I did when she first debuted.
Show is watchable but not very interesting.
Susan Walters back as Diane has been refreshing. Phyllis/Diane working together should amount to something but Diane would always be the expendable one. Nice to see Kyle interacting with her.
Sharon/Tessa had a nice conversation.
I like nuChance a lot. Good find.
Amelia's trying harder as a colder Victoria and it works. Don't really give a [!@#$%^&*] about the Ashland mess. Eric Braeden feels checked out.
I lol'd as Nikki dismissed Sharon as an outsider. I could see Sharon/Nick/Sally/Adam ... however, it felt like Nick/Sally should have been Noah/Sally instead.
Gimme Nikki vs. Sharon, and Phyllis vs. Diane anyday
Nice to see Devon and Lily.
So Billy and Chelsea are hosting a podcast? LOL. OK. Sure. I guess I buy it.
Mishael not being used is glaring.
Nate remains wasted. He's still the 'Neil fill in' years later.
Good lord just bring Drucilla back. Add some weight to the canvas. I know, beating a dead horse still ... hell, I'd still swap Heinle and Heather Tom. Viewers would adjust.

Agreed. One of the few good things about this is that the serial killer baggage is gone. I still stand by the idea that Xander should have been Alex.
Another quasi-incestuous pairing
Yep. No serial killer baggage. I cringed last month when Will hugged his murderer on Ben's way out of Salem.
Xander 100% should have been Alex "back in the day"

He's phoning it in. Remember when he started he had Sheri Anderson to balance his ass out.

Unbelievable. How long have they been free??
Speaking of, I cannot believe it has taken this long to clear Trina. She was charged when TA debuted!
lol. It does seem like it. Tabyana debuted June 23rd.
It was bizarre to hear the phone being sold was like JANUARY. I know court cases IRL take forever but ... it shows the show has way too many characters and many get little airtime. It's so hit or miss.

B&B can be so annoying. How many days are they going to have Steffy repeat the same dialogue? lol.
I like Krista Allen as Taylor but she reads more like Steffy's older sister. Her giggle at saying 'epic' was lol. Allen is having fun and I appreciated Taylor saying she wouldn't be passive anymore.
Brooke and Ridge were eh. Brooke definitely channels Stephanie by insisting HER daughter would raise Douglas. Brooke of course followed up her annoyance at the Tridge kiss with a makeout session.
It was time about a decade ago for both Brooke and Taylor to say to Ridge 'kick rocks and get away from us'.
Slightly annoyed they're back to Hope vs. Thomas over Douglas. But OK. Annika Noelle plays the crazy eyes well. She'd be good in a slasher flick.
Deacon/RedHeadSheila was filler but I will appreciate seeing Sean Kanan.
