Lol. Cody throws a lot of timelines out of whack. Considering he was Dante's buddy as a kid that would mean Dante is approximately the same age as well and Sonny was close to 30 when he arrived in town in 1993. Which leads me to believe Dante had to be born in like 1983. So was Cody born years before we saw Mac/Dominique meet on screen? 🤣

Yeah, okay that's what I thought. I remember thinking the Bells had to be old to "adopt" or pretend to be Cody's parents since Katherine was a woman in her late 20's at least when Cody was born. Since none of this timeline makes any sense with Cody I suppose the ages could have dialed back a bit or something.

Cody was adopted by the Bells and raised on Serenity. He's related to Katherine through Dominique because they are half sisters. Cody/Katherine sharing the same last name and being raised by the same family isn't how they are related strangely enough. I don't even know if Cody knew Katherine at all lol.

How boring. They kissed on the 4th of July then completely stalled and now it's out in the open. I suppose it could lead to a legit Willow/Drew/Nina triangle if Michael dumps her. But, let's be honest, this woman lied about cancer and like 5000 other things so this stupid kiss shouldn't be the deal breaker for Michael.

I am going to give the show the benefit of the doubt. It was a picture and a caption. That probably took someone 10 mins, which is why I thought it was shocking it wasn't shown the Monday after he passed. I am going to consider it intentional due to the fact John was mentioned numerous times today.

I assume because this episode had a heavy focus on John? It would be weird to insert a picture of Drake into an episode that featured Body & Soul. I am not judging this tribute because this is obviously just a quick one announcing his passing to the audience and there will be many on screen ones to come.

I know. I teared up for sure. I also got teary when Marlena said something like John got very good news or a miracle today (I can't remember the wording) when talking to Eric. It's difficult when you know the actor's knew about Drake's health. I think that's ALM's natural hair. She's worn it curly like that in other things I have seen her in. I liked today's episode overall. I really like Sophia and root for her. She got more depth today, but I hate how the show goes into racist cliches. She had weird Asian food so kids made fun of her. Her parents are strict. All characters of Asian descent on this show seem to have similar upbringings.

Thanks for the warning. This is why I read your recaps before I watch lol. I find the scenes with Marlena talking about John super depressing. I am not looking forward to months of hearing about what John's doing off screen. I know the show did the same with Doug/Victor, but they weren't as focal as John and their deaths weren't so sudden and shocking.

How are Vivian and Ivan going to keep a grown ass man in Alamania against his will forever? What a dumb plan. I have no use for Stefan at this point, but it actually seemed like the show decided to fire him about 2 days before this episode was filmed. It wasn't thought out at all. And how weak is Stefan that old man Ivan can overpower him lol? Not sure about Javi. Too early to tell. If he's so resentful of Rafe I am not sure why he came to his house and decided to move in. JPL's Phillip is my least favorite Phillip. Yes, I like KB's Phillip more than his. I just can't stand the way he plays him at all. I guess that's it for Fiona and Eric too. Seems like some really shifting of the canvas happened in this episode.

ALL: Short Lived Character, Long Lasting Impact
I guess it depends on what we are considering short lived because even someone like Addie was on for 3 or 4 years as a contract player. If we are considering characters that were on a few years and not 'guest stars' I would probably say Stone from GH. Michael Sutton was only on for 2 years, but Stone's legacy and impact are still talked about today. Plus, the obvious impact of giving Robin HIV as well. Heroines that died tragically young like Lily on GH or Isabella on Days, just to name a few, tend to have much longer legacies than they would have otherwise too.

Oh, you mean the time Kristen accidently sold herself into sex slavery? Lol, it was such a disgusting way for the character to go out. Everyone thought Kristen was dead (it was a 3rd Banks sibling), so Kristen decided to pretend to be Susan and tried to sell Susan into a harem. It backfired and somehow Kristen ended up being sold off instead. So offscreen Stefano eventually go Kristen out of said harem and she was just living in Europe off screen until she popped back up in Salem. The harem/sex slave stuff was touched on and Kristen was mad at several people about it even though it was her own stupid fault. Anyway, it was implied Kristen was abused both physically/sexually and was briefly a sex slave, but that whole plot point was glossed over to one or two conversations which is probably for the best.

Putting aside her crimes. What are her qualifications? She hasn't worked a real job in 30 years! What's on her resume? Ability to plot elaborate plans to harm others? Master at avoiding any real punishment? Surviving death multiple times? At least EJ is slightly plausible as a CEO. And, no, he's not plausible at all as the town's DA lol. I am not even going to bring Stefan into this because I don't know what he does besides sometimes own a restaurant.

Yeah, I would assume that's the next beat of the story too. It's a lot easier than Xander giving up his entire company. I don't like any of Days business stories. They aren't interesting, make no sense, and I generally don't care who's running Titan or Dimera. At ALL. With Kristen's past, who in their right mind would let her run a multi-million dollar company in the first place? Her last job was a social worker in 1993. Not to mention the fact she's committed 1000 crimes since then lol.
