I cried for so long and thankfully my husband was there to hug me. He also got little emotional which is incredibly rare for him. He is beginning to love the show in his own way. Hates Vicky and Iris, likes Sharlene, Mary, John, Marley. And that scene for me... embodies the quintessential beauty of the soap opera genre. You bond with these characters episode after episode... and when situations like these happen, it strikes you right in the heart. That's amazing! Thank you!

B&B: December 2024 Discussion Thread
The fact that Brooke texted Ridge that she thinks of him on Christmas, after what he did to her the previous day... proves to me that Ridge and Brooke deserve each-other. They are both incredibly selfish trash human beings and everyone around them suffers in their orbit. That's the fact. Brooke should have blocked his ass on her phone and never looked back. Then she should have started terrorizing him and his proxies through her CEO position. That would have made me GLUED to my screen. It would have, as @edgeofnik said a day ago, made me relive a little bit of BeLief's glory. A little bit, but enough to make me care. But no... we have to watch this incredibly disappointing weak type of woman-gaslit-to-death-turned-into-pushover that in 2024 exists only in Bradley Bell's universe. Nobody in this day and age, especially if you are a successful rich b-tch, acts like Brooke did. If they don't turn this around after the Holidays... to Brooke getting her revenge... I don't see any hope for this show. I am not about to watch Brooke beg Ridge to pick her for the 38th year in a row. I'm done.

I would love to know too... But I don't know how to find these things exactly. I know there are people who probably do know. Maybe you guys could help. These are the credits at the end of the episode. And I agree - the scene was beautifully written and acted. Something that I rarely, if not even... never see these days. And the pacing... the tempo of the whole episode... no rush... long scenes - just marvelous. Another World - December 26, 1988.mp4

And this scene, that I planned to make a separate post about later this evening... made me weep like a baby. I haven't cried watching a soap like this in years. I won't even attempt to describe it, people should experience it for themselves. ssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss.mp4

Another World - December 26th 1988 The Christmas spirit has not left Bay City yet. But it's on it's way out. Michael and Donna Hudson are spending a wonderful evening with their boy, when a knock at the door reveals the always smiling, always nice demonic presence that's been haunting the entire city - Iris Wheeler has come to sniff around and look for rotten flesh that she can sink her teeth into. She is searching for any sign that Michael and Donna's marriage is unhappy one... any weak spot she can sneak through like a wicked fox. Some Christmas presents are leaving people with bad taste in their mouths. Bridget's prediction became a reality when Vicky gave Jamie a key to the house she bought for him. She not only stole the moment from him (he had just given her his grandmother's ring), but also showed a complete disregard for his approval or opinion. The mood suddenly became dark and gloomy. Mary and Vince came to celebrate Christmas in Marley's hospital room - just after her surgery. While they were unpacking the basket, Vince realized that one of Mary's silver candlesticks was missing. One look at Mary's face and I knew what she was thinking. I wonder... if Vince's words that she'll regret trying to help that girl... returned to haunt her. Marley, still weak after the surgery, wanted to see the babies in the hospital nursery and watched them in awe, through the glass. Dreaming that one day... she'll have one of her own. At the end of the Christmas day in the Hudson's apartment - the contrast of emotions was evident. Michael, Donna and Vicky were cheerful and happy, while Jamie and Iris - in another world of Misery. Jamie - feeling betrayed and forced to accept a gift he doesn't want, Iris - feeling jealous and like she doesn't belong. We see her leaving the apartment without even saying Goodbye - staring at the Hudsons with nothing, but bitter sadness and a little contempt. She then walked out to the lonely and cold world of her own making. Karma always finds people on Holidays. Overall: ddddddddd.mp4- Another World Discussion Thread
I remember that Iris has called Donna... both Donna Love and Donna Hudson. It made an impression on me... and she's also called them Michael and Donna Hudson when speaking of them together.- Show how are you feeling right now as a GIF or YT clip

Wow... this was my reaction nearly half a year ago... I was seeing all the negative press about Blake Lively... that is now... revealed to have been an orchestrated smear campaign. Then and now... I believe her. Shame on the people that tried to destroy her. They will never succeed.- Hollywood Sexual Harrasment/Assault Thread

Another World - December 23rd, 1988 It's time for Christmas 1988! The Cory's are receiving their guests, the mood is festive and even the regular toxic characters are acting warm and fuzzy. (Iris Wheeler with the baby - talk about irony and contrast!) We even have Vicky and Jamie arriving to a welcoming crowd of people who are deciding to forget for one evening how she trapped their Jamie with a baby. Speaking of Vicky, one of the best scenes in a long time... was just before the Christmas party - Bridget told her how absurd her behavior in buying the house without consulting with Jamie is. He words were once again so truthful, so wise and so... not heard by Vicky. If she only listened to Bridget. (But then it wouldn't be fun, would it... without the drama) I fear that Bridget is right and that Vicky is once again rushing Jamie and it will backfire. Felicia Gallant's past is slowly coming out of the shadows, as her husband Mitch and Cass went on a secret mission to find her stepfather. Only they were met by a cold, sinister woman, who told them he left the house a month ago. This is getting more and more unsettling. Marley is in Another world of her own, not able to feel any of the Christmas excitement and joy. She is going to have surgery on Christmas Day! Her last chance to have a baby is depending on a Christmas miracle. And how important believing in the Christmas miracle is... In the end of the episode... friends, relatives, lovers, foes... all united together in the spirit of Christmas and togetherness. What a miraculous sight to see - Iris standing between Ada and Rachel, smiling from ear to ear. Sadly... this is not going to last. BUT... for one last time - Merry Christmas. ❤️ Another World - December 23, 1988.mp4- What Are You Listening To?

And your love... and endless knowledge and passion about and for "Another World" inspires me and excites me every time I watch a new episode. I know I can come here and share it with you and with all you guys. And every time I'm so surprised by the info I learn and history I absorb like a sponge. For which I am so thankful. So so thankful. Merry Christmas to all... in our Another World ❤️❤️❤️- Your daily (or nightly) thought
As usual. The same lesson repeats at this Christmas too. Lesson about people. The ones I helped most and gave most to... this past year, mostly didn't even bother to say Merry Christmas (with exceptions of course). And the ones I never even expected to hear from or the ones I didn't give any special treatment to... called/wrote... wanted to wish me well. People I helped start their profession by finding them a job, people who I lend money to after they begged me... and etc... are nowhere to be seen. I haven't yet (the day is not over...) received even one Merry Christmas from some of them. Their ungratefulness is the biggest gift to me... Something that will inspire to make me stop lending a hand and helping people that don't deserve it in the next year. To think twice when I find myself losing my time with their problems and needs. Twink twice before I help them with connections at work. But there is also one other lesson - you can expect to find love, care and best wishes from people you didn't even notice before. Sometimes people you perceived as long forgotten acquaintances. People you didn't even like. And I believe all this is happening... to open my eyes. When one door closes, another opens. Thank you God for showing me the true nature of people on days like these. ❤️❤️❤️- Happy Holidays to all of you!
