  1. I'm getting borderline Obsessed with Phoebe. She's giving me Sunset Boulevard vibes and I'm heeere for it girl !
  2. Absolutely! You don't want to make it too busy. Focusing on the core is SO important at first to give the viewers some kind of connection. A face (in this case 4) they can remember. It's not good to dilute the focus too much at first.
  3. They should have submitted this. LOOOL.mp4 (😂)
  4. We studied him in my Academy. He was a big influence on a lot of our professors. I remember watching Blue Velvet in the Academy's cinema. It's in my top 10 movies of all time. I would have to re-watch it very soon. Rest in peace, genius man.
  5. OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. I read between the lines.
  7. I'm in such a deep binge of 1988 that I may break my records of non-stop watching. The last time I was binging like this was with Edge of night 1979-early 1980. Even my husband has left me alone and decided it's better not to interrupt me. I don't answer calls, I don't go out. I'm in Pine Valley! I think I'll finish January 1988 tonight !😂
  8. I'm done with coca cola after this too. Thank you for this heads up.
  9. Thank you for this introduction! And I'm quite happy that in your words... 1988 has the core of AMC... I would not want to start with some horrible season that would make me want to stop watching. I was scared of that, and I debated with myself where to start. But seeing how 1988 is the first nearly complete year available, I decided - there. Of course... I would not have anything to compare it to, so I enjoy it so far. I like how simple and easy it flows... not like some other soaps which are hard to break into and take me a loong time to get used to. And I don't mean this as a negative. One thing that made an impression on me from today's episode - Erica's dynamic with her mother Mona. They are soo perfectly dysfunctional. ❤️ AMc88-01-14newEp----bluerose8508thuFull.mp4
  10. I watched 5 episodes from January 1988 and I'm in love. This is my first taste of the show... I still don't know anything about anyone and slowly learning - a process I love to go through, it's like studying for an exam. I have all the next seasons available and if this continues being soooo good and so fun... I plan to make it my night time show. Erica Kane makes me laugh with every sentence that comes out of her mouth. The most recent episode I watched is when Erica had a meltdown during the live on tv interview Travis was giving. ddddddddddd.mp4
  11. And thank YOU for taking out of your time in getting these two quotes for us. And citing where they're from. 🙏
  12. And he is so right in a way. A lot of these couples hit a dead end after getting married and then the all so predictable problems on the road for divorce start. And I don't think there is a lot of room for speculation about the meaning of what he said. He said it quite clearly and definitively. As he usually does. He is opposed to ANY marriage between these two characters.
  13. That would be better than what we currently have. I can't believe what I'm saying... I want something completely absurd to happen, so I won't be made to watch people call this woman Taylor anymore.
  14. My perception is this - if the couple is fundamental to the show (their relationship dominates storyline after storyline)... AND you really can't imagine the other person without that other one... even in some occasions after the passing of half of the couple... that to me is super-couple.
