Listen, I think this back and forth about the word "underdog"is getting kinda petty. Which I think is unnecessary. I write from my heart and don't want to then have to proof and defend every word I use and... if a certain word is appropriate and etc. I don't have the free time to do this. Your opinion is as valid as mine. But If you need to feel like you are right - okay, you are. But I still stand by what I said. Maybe I am mistaken... maybe I don't possess a perfect level of the English language...I'm sorry... It is the only language I have never used to speak and communicate other than this forum. So it's possible that I may be incorrect. But the words "underdog" and "outsider" are considered synonyms by every dictionary I checked. Maybe they are all wrong and you are right. Anyhow, when I stated my opinion I said that it's my POV. I don't think I'm wrong, so I am not going to say it. That's it. And of course I am using the words in the context of the storyline and the character.

Yup. BTG anticipation making people open their eyes and watch the other shows too... Bradley was supposed to get the idea and write an amazing storyline that can get some sustained bump for Bold. But no, he is giving us the worst storyline in years and we are subjected to watching amateur writing/acting every day. Ugh.

There is no "serial cheater" that is ever staying "firm" in a marriage or a base of a "happy home". Sorry to disagree. That just doesn't exist. Any psychologist can tell you why. The only alternative is... if that marriage was an open one and Dani was okay with him hooking up left and right. But that is not the impression I got. Absolutely. Dani is in love with herself mostly and the image she presents to the world. But that is why I think she can grow from this point on. Because that image is now shattered.

I don't think you understood my point. So I'll clarify and explain. Right now she is the outsider in regards to the Duprees. She has put herself in that position through her own actions. In this moment she is the unwanted one - the one that everyone in the family hates, disapproves off and etc. In that context she IS the underdog aka outsider trying to gain a stronger position and respect (through marrying Bill). They've said many times about how they are so powerful and build that community and etc... and it leaves your with the impression that the Homewrecker will have a lot of trouble getting accepted after she did what she did. Yes, she is an opportunist no doubt, but she is also put in the corner in a way. And that is what I mean by... The underdog becoming powerful. It may happen that one day Hayley owns The Duprees in some way. That slap in the beginning with everyone looking at her like she is the scum of the earth... May comeback to haunt the entire family. In a metaphorical way. It was not just a coincidence that the entire show started that way. MVJ is very smart.

I'm just wondering if Hayley gives birth to a child... If they are going to make it seem like she is incapable of raising it... And then maybe Dani can takeover the baby with Bill. And that be the karma for the homewrecker. Hayley gives me a vibe that as soon as Bill leaves her, which is going to happen... She is going to spiral hard. Or maybe they will go the Brooke Logan path and turn Hayley into the star and she will takeover the entire community. LOL The Count of Monte Cristo... Underdog turned Queen storyline.

Absolutely. Leslie definitely fits the OG antagonist vibe. She is my favorite. I'm not lying.

Hayley right now is acting like Brooke towards Macy in 1999 when she stole Thorne. She is giving her the... "Oh I didn't want this to happen... But you can't stop it either. " She is full of it. Brooke was written for decades in a similar manner after that.

Hayley is far far from Sheila Carter. They are not even close as character types. I agree... More close to Brooke - the trashy Bradley Bell version of Brooke. She is far from the OG Brooke of Bill Bell too in my opinion.

One thing that is important to underline. This is not Bill's first affair and Dani knows about that. The fact that she told her mother she was not that concerned about the other affairs because it was not under her roof is very telling. Dani is acting like this because she cares about what people think. She is vain and superficial as f-ck. And I love that. Dani and Bill are toxic together and apart and sooner or later will reunite. More sooner than later. The question is who is going to be next in Hayley's path of sleeping with married men.

ME, in the mall elevator... when someone takes that one last coat ON SALE I've come to collect from Zara... in front of my eyes... GOD she is so relatable.

The only critique I can give now... when I've re-watched (more like went through them) the first 4 episodes and eliminated the adrenaline and excitement... is that some of the newbies are underwhelming me. I've seen this comment repeated so many times and that's why I didn't want to join in... but it's the truth. Now I can agree. It really gets apparent when you re-watch and it's not a new scene for you as a viewer anymore. Especially since there is this HUGE amount of talent in this show. You can't go from a scene with Anita... to some girl who is struggling to say her lines in a natural way... and not feel off. I won't name names, because I'm not into conflicts for things like that. But hell... I'll name one - Martin. He is just not working for me AT ALL. I liked him when the show premiered, but now... I'm starting to really get an off feeling from the guy. Maybe that's intentional (probably is)... who knows... I also think he and his husband have 0 chemistry. (their scene in episode 3 proves that) These people are clearly not in love or in any type of relationship and it shows. The actors don't fit together at all. I don't like the Smitty actor either. Not my cup of tea. Boring presence. Sorry for the honesty. Once again - maybe it's intentional and I'm not seeing something that I'll see in the future. Maybe they are directed to act that way. And since I am in the gay community... these young looking... guys would never have children that age. I've been there... We are not THAT domestic and boring at that age... AND especially not if you look as attractive as these guys look physically. That's the truth. If I imagine myself right now raising a child that age... I will start screaming. No way. That's just MY POV. I don't say this is the absolute truth. It just strikes me as odd. I've also seen this opinion stated multiple times before, and I've agreed with it. But... yeah. It's a soap opera after all and I'm not picking on it too much. Maybe this is like Bold type of thing when we have to look at 20s looking people and imagine they are in their 40s?! Don't get me wrong - I still appreciate and am thankful that there is a gay couple in the show... representing people like me and my husband. 💗 Thank you MVJ! I just hope these guys unleash their hidden talents and improve with time... so that at least some type of chemistry can be felt. So far... all the vets are delivering and I have a huge surprise that I didn't see coming - Leslie. That woman is stealing the show. ❤️

I believe in Never saying never. For me it's the wisest approach. I really don't get why we need to repeat constantly how this or that is impossible or won't happen. It just adds to the atmosphere of doom and gloom that has been following soap operas for decades now like a plague. I believe in miracles and I believe that... just like in fashion... people's tastes return to basics sooner or later. And I believe daytime dramas in a way are the OG basics of TV entertainment. Years ago people were saying that there would never be a new soap and here we are... BTG proved them WRONG. I still think that AMC has the biggest potential. I already said why... but I'll repeat - it's quintessential soap opera, embedded in pop culture, and there is a reason for it. I agree that Dark Shadows has potential, but it can also go very wrong, because people will compare the new show with the original to ad nauseam. Of course this is meant to happen to any show that is revived, remade and etc... but Dark Shadows has a huge cult following and I would not want to see these people getting their hopes up and... then receiving a pathetic version of the original. If they don't do it right... it can sink pretty fast. You just don't f-ck with people's cult status shows. That's why I think AMC has more room to experiment. It's still iconic as hell, but I don't think I would call it - cult classic. That's just my POV. AMC can be re-started any day and work perfectly if given a great head writer. Mistakes can be more easily overcome than... if people are touching cult-material. Erica Kane has been the basis of so many soap opera... and even primetime characters, inspired so many similar heroines and storylines, that I think... people would appreciate revisiting the OG version. Following that train of thought - I don't want to sound cynical... but sadly time is ticking and if they plan to do something they should be doing it in the next couple of years. I don't doubt that Susan may be able to rock Erica Kane in her late 80s or ever early 90s... May God give her eternal health and longevity... she's proven to the world that she can break all kinds of record... but STILL... I would love to get AMC back when people still remember it and it's still in their memories.
