Thank you. I've always been amazed how Viki is always Viki... At every stage of the show. I don't know how to describe it... I've often found younger versions of the same characters/actors to sound so different... Almost like different people. But every time I stumble across something with Viki... She is undeniably Viki. You can't forget that voice.

The themes of the soap are classic storylines - love and betrayal, lies, revenge, money, power, social-climbing, opportunists, cheating wives and husbands... scandals and some thriller-crime stuff here and there. In the beginning we have a lot of drama concerning cheating husbands... especially. It's very addicting. Here we have something like... the Greek Dani Dupree or Tatyana Drakos... finding her cheating husband. 😂- One Life to Live Tribute Thread

Lampsi Lampsi or Η Λάμψη... (in English: The Shine)... holds the title for the longest-running soap opera in Greek television and is one of the most popular shows in both Greece and Bulgaria. It aired almost daily for over 14 years on the Greek TV channel ANT1. The show kicked off on September 16, 1991, and wrapped up with its final episode on July 29, 2005. Over its 14-year run, a total of 3,457 episodes were aired. The series featured 190 stories, which required 150,000 pages of dialogue, involved 1,500 actors, seven directors, and a multitude of technicians. Nikos Foskolos penned the script, while the episodes were directed by Nikos Foskolos, Spyros Foskolos, and five other directors. Currently ANT1 is uploading the entire series in their streaming platform. Some of the episodes are already on youtube. Personally, this was the soap, together with Bold, that defined the genre... in my childhood. The streets were legit empty when the show was on, that's how my grandmother described it. She was the biggest Lampsi fan on this planet... Now re-watching some of the early episodes I'm shocked at how great the production, writing and everything looks. Yes, it has it's melodrama, but it's not bad. Quite the contrary. If I'm not mistaken I remember reading that when the first 2 seasons were airing in Greece it had record viewing - more than half the audience of any tv channel watching... was watching Lampsi. They only planned to have 1-2 seasons, but the overwhelming success led them to make more seasons.- Your daily (or nightly) thought

- BTG: Encore Discussion Thread
God, they should have an encore every few months, so that we'll get these entertaining reactions more often. (don't listen to me, CBS) 😂 Listen, I love how passionate everyone is about this show. With 1 or 2 exceptions, I think everyone is honest in their opinions and their critique is constructive. We all want this show to be good and to stay on the air. That's why we care. I think it's not adequate to compare the level of critique to this new show to the every-day flak the ancient soaps get. It's absolutely normal for us to WANT this show to be better and to have a knee-jerk reaction when we see disgusting patterns or bad dialogue that reminds us of the trashed soaps. We want a better written soap than Bold, that's why we care more. We have bad-writing PTSD. And... if I have to be honest... I've never trashed any soap more than Bold... and I've never cut any soap more slack than BTG. If I open my mouth and start really saying what I think about some of the atrocious dialogue and trashy character decisions... I'll probably trigger a looot of people and that's why I prefer to be more diplomatic and just... wait till I give my final review. This doesn't stop me from agreeing with more critical opinions, BUT from people who actually watch the show and have something to say. There has been a persistent attempt to paint this show negatively from the beginning by a person/persons who I doubt even watch this show. They just want to hate on it. That's something I despise and find incredibly time-wasting to read or engage with. That's why I personally don't fuel their nonsense every day by giving it more and more attention. There should be a clear line between this nonsense and the rest of the people - 99 percent of them in the forum... who are passionate soap opera fans, have taste and give their take on the show - the good and the bad. I want this to continue. I'm not a fan of statements that we should just be happy that we at least are getting a new soap and etc... or an attitude that every critical comment is hate, because it isn't. I'll become harsher when the 1 year mark approaches. So far I'm 50/50 - I like half of the storylines, characters, dialogue... and 50 percent... is just... not good. We'll see how this percentage changes in the coming months.- One Life to Live Tribute Thread
Up to May 26th, 1992. 🦿 "Ooops, she started walking again." After a little pause (weekend husband stuff), I'm back in Llanview. So what is going on right now? 🔷 Let me start with the big stuff. Blair apologized to Dorian and gave her... her newspaper back. She was expecting a hug from her aunt, but got a nasty threat instead. Dorian vowed to become the legal guardian of Agatha and make sure Blair never comes close to her mother again. She accused her of neglecting Addie and not providing her with proper care. The war of the Cramer women is going into second phase. 🔷 Renee got a great divorce settlement - "The Buchanan Palace" hotel! Asa told her sarcastically that she could even go back to her previous profession and turn the hotel into a whore-house if she wanted to. Ah, you'll regret saying this, Asa. 🔷 The boring "who killed Carlo" storyline continues to drag. Sarah was released on bail and then she and Bo broke into Alex's apartment trying to find evidence. Sarah discovered the "Murder of Scarecrow" cassette tape recording. I have a hunch this tape will help reveal who killed Carlo. Oh and let's not forget - we got a soapy twist, when the "invalid" (who I was expecting is faking her paralysis) Julia Medina... started walking. She not only can walk... she can squat! 🔷 Tina and Cain had their usual in-fantasy conversations that are starting to drag too... I'm so not buying this "love affair". Their biggest adversary is of course, Alex Olanov, who just recently decided she needs to marry the mayor in order to become a high-society woman. At least Alex is entertaining. Tina and Cain are unbearable at this point. I preferred her with Cord, even though he was a chauvinist. Again, Tina has seized having kids and is acting like an irresponsible early 20s single woman. The change was too rush in my opinion. She didn't even mourn Cord... at all before getting in bed with Rogan. 🔷 Blair agreed to be with Max when he visits his friend Joe in Texas. When Asa found out that she did this... he activated all of his connections in Ohio. He even called in a favor so that Blair could become a legal guardian of her mother. He wants to buy Blair off, just so that Max can't have her. So... I assume the battle for who will be Agatha's guardian begins. 🔷 Overall - 8 out of 10! - because the Carlo Hesser murder mystery is really really annoying at this point and I want it to end ASAP. It's 2 months now and every single episode it's the same cartoon-network Scooby-Doo who's the killer stuff. We don't care at this point. Carlo was not the most sympathetic character, so I really don't need 40+ episodes of who killed him. The first 50 percent of this storyline was great, but then when every week they had another person in jail, it became a drag. Clip of the day - Blair slaps Dorian! The SECOND phase of the war is ON!- What Are You Listening To?
