The Audience Network is basically the same network that picked up Passions and Friday Night Lights when they were ditched by NBC back in the day.

It's the same network just back then it was called The 101 network because the main channel is DTV 101.  It's Direct Tv's free network.

Demographically it's geared toward teens and yes I am comparing between the shows because I want to. Also not all of them "suck"

Don't understand the demo talk when the teens on soaps aren't even targeted towards the teen demo. If they were they'd specifically promote to that demo which they don't. The only thing they have in common is bad acting. The young people on Famous in Love can't act and neither can that majority of the younger actors on soaps. SC's acting sucks and always has no difference when he's in primetime or soaps.

They aren't that horrible. Some are better than the current teens on the soaps.

I'm on episode 5 and the acting is dreadful. And why are you comparing them to the teens on soaps? These are college aged characters on this show. Also that's not really a compliment. Alot of the younger actors suck on soaps.

  4. Kelley Missal (One Life to Live) is set as a series regular opposite Steve Zahn and Sandrine Holt in the ABC drama pilot The Crossing. Written/executive produced by Dan Dworkin and Jay Beattie, executive produced by Jason Reed and directed by Rob Bowman, The Crossing revolves around refugees from a war-torn country who start showing up to seek asylum in an American town. But the country these people are from is America, and the war they are fleeing is 250 years in the future. Missal will play Hannah, one of the first survivors to make it to the shore. Missal received a Daytime Emmy nom for her work on One Life to Live. She’s repped by CESD and Viking Entertainment.

Storyline via Hallmark: A young woman who dreams of opening her own restaurant lands a job at a prominent restaurant whose head chef becomes her unlikely ally when the restaurant's unscrupulous owner, a Master Chef herself, plots to return the place to its former glory by presenting her new assistant's recipes as her own.

  6. Abigail Spencer (Becca, AMC) and Peyton List (Lucy, ATWT), two of the worst actors I've ever seen on soaps, are inexplicably headlining two network series this fall, Timeless on NBC and Frequency on the CW. They've both improved a lot since their soap days of course and gotten a lot of series work in the interim. And both shows are pretty solid so good for them.

Peyton List is still awful. She ruined the Tomorrow People. The producers spent way too much time highlighting her dead eyed acting.
