  1. According to NeNe, that Spam-eating trash definitely referred to her and the rest of the ladies as N----s:

    iXOOI.png

...which leads back to the main reason that I'm not only glad that she's gone, but am definitely vindicated in my assessment of her as the racist bitch that I suspected her to be since the end of Season 1.

  2. Although I'm still mad that it took over four seasons to get rid of her (since they should've dropped her at the curb after the second season), at least I can breathe easy knowing that I will never see that useless heifer again*.

*and no, I don't need any Camille-style cameos, I need her ass gone like Bethenny gone.

  3. I never understood the direction her career took, as she won Idol based on more of an old soul vibe.

As much as AI has done for Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood, I've never thought that they (or rather, the folks that were dispatched to handle Fanny's career post-win) were adept in developing a (true) R&B talent - hence their saddling her with trendy songs that were a better fit for lesser singers.

Even Jennifer Hudson -- in spite of being an Oscar-winner and a (relatively) working blacktress in Hollywood -- is a victim of weak songs undermining her wonderful voice.

  4. Wasn't Fantasia in a much more modern R&B type direction? I remember some fans who were very upset about her first album for that reason.

I'm one of these fans that was upset that they've provided that great talent with such mediocre songs, as her covering the classics on various awards/tribute shows clearly show that she's a wonderfully-written-and-produced song away (i.e.: a major reason why Adele and the late Amy Winehouse are/were successful) from the success that she deserves.

  5. I really didnt think we'd be seeing Camille as much as we are. She's been on in most of the episodes so far. I mean she's not just showing up to events but going on trips with them too

Phew - and here I thought that I would be deprived at the chance to see my favorite stealth Housewives bitch.

Still mad that I'm stuck with Shanna, though...

  6. I find it hilarious that we now find out Porsha was a Trillville video ho when she's been using her family's legacy to portray this Atlanta Socialite. I doubt she's involved in that charity or that she even went to college.

That just saddens me (yeah, I'm about to get on my soapbox), as I can't understand wasting one's storied family legacy/reputation (via their hard work with the civil rights movement) to be a video ho.

Call me old-fashioned, but the last thing that I'd want to do as the granddaughter of a civil rights activist whom many revere is clap my ass in a third-rate version of an East Side Boyz video.

  7. I see RHoNJ is keeping in their ratchet tradition:

The New Jersey version of the Housewives franchise is currently filming their fifth season, and of the five ladies in the cast last season, only three (Teresa Giudice, Melissa Gorga, and Jacqueline Laurita) are returning. Although the show will be missing a few familiar faces (namely Caroline Manzo and Kathy Wakile), some new housewives will be stepping into their stilettos for season 5, including the wife of Power 105.1 FM personality, DJ Envy. According to RadarOnline:

“With two women down Bravo is going to introduce three new housewives – Noelle Brescia, Gia Casey and Priscilla DiStasio and all of them have ties to Teresa, giving her a possible advantage in any on-screen arguments

Noelle is friends with Kim D so she will most likely be on ‘Team Teresa,’ and Gia, who is married to DJ Envy, is also friends with Teresa. Priscilla is Teresa’s makeup artist and best friend, so she’ll definitely be expected to take her side.”

Gia and Envy have two children together and will be the first minority couple featured on the New Jersey verion of the show.

I’m sure Teresa will be jumping for joy now that she’ll have some allies. Although I’m not a fan of the big-haired brunette, watching her go toe-to-toe with almost the entire cast last season was almost painful to watch.

Now that Gia has joined the show, will you be tuning in?

  8. I wish there was a black housewife on BH and NY. Bravo claimed they sought for BH but obviously they didn't try hard enough. Lela Rochon and Vanessa Williams aren't the only black celebrities in Hollywood.

Although I heard that Lionel Richie 'convinced' (i.e.: paid) Brenda Richie to not accept Andy's offer to be a part of RHoBH, I still wish that she'd have accepted the role and shown the world that she's more than just the scorned wife that drove over and beat Lionel's mistress' ass back in the day.

  9. For those happy and sad about Kim's exit from RHOA, she's posted on Twitter she only exited for this season due to her pregnancy. She'll be back next season full-time. My guess is that she'll exit in Dec 2nd episode, her spin-off will premiere while RHOA is still airing, she'll appear at the reunion and then back to status quo next year.

Who do I have to pay to get this chain-smoking heifer off this show for GOOD?

  10. On the surface, I can see why Sherry's absence isn't felt as deeply (if at all) since NeNe being BFF with Andy ensured that Sherry would be made less relevant through the course of every season after season 2. Still, I can't help but have a soft spot for the chick who went to town on Party Planner while 'tugging' on Elmer's wig.

At this point, does Elmer have any fans left? IMO, she hasn't been relevant since since the days of Big Poppa. I haven't seen any and those that were rightfully woke up and smelled the coffee once they saw how ratchet she was treating Sweetie (who I could've sworn was "freed" after that Rickey Smiley petition went viral).

  11. I'm an episode behind in ATL, but former Miss USA may turn out to be the Alison DuBois of this show (something that I wished that Andy allowed Marlo to be full-time) - shitstarting with a smile.

Oh, and count me in as one that is not only glad that Elmer Fudd will be phased out in half a dozen of episodes, but believed that her plastic wig-wearing ass wore out her usefulness 2.5 seasons ago.

I must say, though, that I do miss Sherry, if only because I no longer have a reason to clown her pathetic attempts to be the Grande Dame of ATL and because she is the star of my favorite ATL episode of all time:

On another note, I need to get caught up on BH.

  12. I've got a silly question:

Is this a tribute thread that solely discusses the best that OLTL had to offer or is there room for discussion about the reruns that are airing right now (reruns that I'm currently [re]watching)?

Just want to make sure that I don't step on any toes here.

Speaking of Laura and Bobbie, how in the world did Bobbie go from hating Laura for being with the man that she wanted (Scotty) to wishing her the best of luck and life with her brother at their wedding?

Granted, this was way before my time, but I'd like to think that the writers actually worked on Laura and Bobbie becoming (civil/friendly/friends?) over time instead of simply shoving them together because they both loved Luke.

Please fill a slight new-schooler in.
