The Tracy Quartermaine Lovefest
Fey and I went to Indiana yesterday. Had a long, long, long drive and cleared my head. Thought about EVERYTHING but General Hospital and Tracy, and I'm much happier for it. (Wow, though, I'm tired. Driving for hours is exhausting.) I"m still composing my letter to SID about Friday's scenes, but I'm no longer depressed. It's just a stupid show. I'm not about to make myself sick over it. If they show the scenes Monday, woohoo. If not, no biggie.

I can't write. I'm just can't write. I had an hour and made a video instead. The Prayer Cycle: Mercy We were so close. So close, and they just threw it away. I'm beyond annoyed. I'm beyond irate. I'm near the end. If they go back to business as usual, I don't know if I'm going to be able to take much more of this. It's just a stupid soap. They're fictional characters, and I don't need to be triggering my depression over fictional characters. I'm not gone yet. But I'm close.

Absurdly pissed over the sex life of fictional characters. The universe is conspiring against me. My writing computer is wonky and won't let me access the portable drive to save anything I type, so I don't dare type it there. The main computer is buggy and McAfee keeps popping up with warnings. My writing time this morning has been co-opted by the need to go down to Sonora to get my spare tire either fixed or replaced. I am beyond frustrated, and it's all ABC's fault.

One way or another, LuNacy smut will be had this weekend. You've been warned.

The Tracy Quartermaine Lovefest
Segment 6. No LuNacy. I'm so fracking annoyed right now.

The Tracy Quartermaine Lovefest
Just read the recaps for segments 1-5. Either it's been delayed, cut, or will air on Monday. Gawd forbid, it's just a quick scene thrown into a single segment, because I'll be really annoyed. Ya'll, this is not a fortuitous start to my weekend....

Hooked, do you really have to go to London? We are so going to miss you. Have fun, and don't forget to bring LadyA a gift-wrapped Ashton as a souvenir. We'll accept postcards, but you know she wants her Larry!

knh, you said a mouthful. I have to admit, Tracy's final scene yesterday was sheer brilliance--both the writing and the performance. Every so often, the writing staff at GH get it so perfectly that you remember they are professional writers who were good enough to win a job and earn a paycheck. (You never forget Jane Elliot is a professional, no matter how bad the material is.) To be honest, I don't think that speech to Luke could have been delivered by anybody else but Tracy, and IMHO, it was way, way overdue. Luke has been on a self-destructive pity party for five years now, and it's high time somebody snapped him out of it. Ironically enough, I think it's exactly what Laura would have done--try to be patient, try to be understanding, try to be loving. And then, finally, tell him to get the fark over himself. And I love Tony Geary. He was so hideously evil as Luke yesterday, showed that character in all his dark, infuriating glory. I farking HATED him by mid-show. Even Fey turned away from the computer and said, "Oh, no, he di'in't" after that one particular line. I knew Tracy was going to get it back, she was going to pull in the reigns, but I had no idea how Jane was going to play it. And when Luke walked into that room in the last scene, you could tell he was already regretting that comment. He was regretting what he'd said, and how much he knew he'd hurt her. And STILL because he's Luke, he was trying to get out of it, to slide away from his responsibility. And Tracy just put her thumb down on that bug and told him what-for. She wasn't cruel, she didn't aim to hurt him. She could have. But she didn't. She just told him the truth, with all the pain and love and frustration that has been building up inside of her plain as day on her face. It was beautiful. And it supports my ebil theory--Alan is not there because of the will. Alan is her guardian angel, there to help her grow up, finally. If Alan really wanted to get her, he would have struck at that moment. He would have struck at her most vulnerable, struck at her darkest moment. But he didn't. He let her alone, and let her reclaim her power and (quite possibly) her hope. Because Luke is going to make up for this. I saw the look in his eye--Laura told him to move on. His family's told him to move on. Everybody in the universe has told him to move on. But I think, yesterday, by being brave enough to show him her scars and blood and tears, Tracy finally got through to him. And he's going to move on. Today should rock. *crosses fingers*

Dear Luke, Hate you. Hate Port Charles. Taking the $15 million. Love, Tracy P.S. Give my best to the Rutabaga Angel. Mwahhhh!

The Tracy Quartermaine Lovefest
Per SZ recaps, L/T are on segments 1-4. Then he drops his bombshell ultimatum (oh, if it's true, I hate him right about now), and nothing for segments 5 & 6. Grrrr...

The Tracy Quartermaine Lovefest
Dear Luke, If the recaps I'm reading on SZ are fair and accurate, I hope you never get Tracy in bed. EVER. Not respectfully, MinervaFan P.S. You'd better really make up for it in the second half of the show, Buster.

She's oooonnnnnn! And in the first five minutes, no less. LeSigh. Do they get drunk today? Do they go crazy today? Whee!
-
The Tracy Quartermaine Lovefest
Let's not forget the following: Forgetting their 1st anniversary because he was too busy chasing Holly and the diamonds. Lying to her and marrying her when she was too drunk to think straight. Making her believe they had consummated the marriage when we ALL know they still haven't slept together. Altering the picture of him and Skye kissing and making her look like a fool in front of the judge. NOT BEING IN THE ROOM WHEN SHE FOUND OUT HER BROTHER WAS DEAD. Chasing after every damsel in distress, but rarely if ever coming to her rescue. Turning her own son into a pawn to be used as a weapon against her. That little crack in the fake will about getting a quarter million for the pain and suffering of being married to Tracy. Not being loving enough. Not being gentle enough. Not being there enough.... Why do I like this ship again???? Oh, yeah. Cuz they're yummy.

Dear Luke. It's a good start. But you're gonna be paying me back for a long, long time. Love always, SpankyBuns

knh, I am working on part seven of "Roomies" (Change of Habit) between calls today. Handwriting in a spiral bound notebook, but at least I'm getting words on a paper. Poor John. He's so tripped out--I think he's going to punch Evan...or at least, try to...

I think I love this person. From their mouth to God's ears. EDIT: PinkPopsicle, I read Blink of an Eye. Neat concept--if only he would figure it out soon. Oh, and SHE'S ON!

Hooked, I've never seen Mary Poppins or The Sound of Music played professionally on stage, but I did play Sister Sophia in my college production. (Yeah, I know how to solve a problem like freakin' Maria--send her to Mo'Nique's Flava Of Love Charm School!) I'd say go for Mary Poppins, because I've heard wonderful things about it. Also, come on--how many times can you hear "The Lonely Goatherd" before it just gets silly? About the spoilers:

My comments: How far would she go???? SHE...COULD...GO...ALL...THE...WAY...Babeeeeeee! Okay, I'm feeling stupid now. Ghost!Alan has possessed me, and I'm thinking of ways to drive Tracy insane. Oh, and ya'll need to start pestering Regency to post "I Dare You." She let me read a rough draft last night, and it is the SHEET! I believe my work here is done for the moment.

The moral of the story? Never go to bed before midnight. Duh. So, let's discuss Edwardian morality in Mrs. Warren's Profession, shall we?

Ha! I thumb my nose at 100 Situations! Fie on you, writers' block! I defy you! The Gift of Destruction is a story about a ghost named Alan and his evil plot to annoy his way into the Light!
