  1. I think she's out the closet now.....
  2. Whee!!!!! Ya'll are going to love this. Go read, now. Oh, LadyA? I posted a link on the Ficathon so people could find it. Squee. I love all this fic. Hooked, do you HAVE to go to that stupid horse race? Tracy should be on Tuesday, right?
  3. hooked, take a chill, babe. Your kid sounds like he's pulled one of the stunts I used to pull on my mom, but well, I was always too chicken to tell her so I just got the (rare) bad grade and sucked it up. You're not a bad mom. You're just exhausted and stressed. I still can't believe you're coming to Derby. Fey and I got caught in the Thunder Over Louisville traffic last weekend--wow, I'm never going to make that mistake again. Have a great time--don't stress the hat, okay? Staci--I responded to your email, SillyBilly! Oh, and "Cold Hearted Snake" rocked the CASBAH! Loved it. I'm still on the LuNacy Bus, but wow, you nailed that jacka##.
  4. Another really quick 100 Situations story: Interview: Set in 1982. Tracy is trying to get her act together after banishment and her divorce from Mitch Williams. Very short.
  5. Hey, no dying! Lainey, sorry I bailed on you from the BR. It's Fey's birthday, and we are soooo out of here. Have fun.
  6. Serious smuttage, ya'll. MASSIVE SMUTTAGE. Should be done and posted tomorrow. Good night. EDIT: Smut has been posted. 100 Situations #40 (Argue): 4-20-07: On April 19, 2007, Luke and Tracy had the worst argument of their marriage. On April 20, they made up. Lainey, if you're available, wanna go to the Break Room? http://pub13.bravenet.com/chat/show.php/1049349012
  7. I'm going to try to start the C.H.E.R.I. thing with GH. I posted something over at JE.com. If you're interested in helping out, please go over and respond. *waves at SMIRKS, the wonderful person who introduced me to the LoveFest!* EDIT: Where is everybody? Oh, and Big Old Squee (T). 4XCrazy has updated Homelands.
  8. tracyluvr, oh, kid. Don't worry about it. People are idiots, and at least your teacher was complimentary. having your fannishness outed in the real world can be very terrifying--I gave one of my Tracy stories to a coworker and was horrified when she shared it with other coworkers. It turned out okay, but it was very nervewracking to see if I was going to get laughed at. (No, you never really grow out of that fear, btw.) Please send me what you've got, if you want honest feedback. I look forward to seeing what you've written...
  9. Welcome back, Hook! You've been missed. The scenes Tuesday were good, but obviously truncated. Jane and Tony look so good together--it's obvious they're having a blast with each other. I'm not sure where all of this mish-mash is leading LuNacy, but I'm content that scenes which were cut mysteriously reappeared the next week. I think Jane is getting some great airtime and a decent storyline (for a woman her age in the Guzaverse). Are you guys familiar with C.H.E.R.I.? It's a grass-roots campaign by OLTL fans to get the female vets more screen time, and it seems to be working. Maybe we should get together with fans of Jackie, Leslie, Fiona, Emma, and other older female actresses on GH and create a cooperative group of our own. Lord knows Jane fans are obsessive enough for any ten actresses, and the MQAS is fairly hard-core. If we banded together with fans of all the older ladies, maybe our letters and phone calls could make a difference. Just a thought.
  10. i didn't watch yesterday's scenes with Luke and Sonny, and I'm not going to. I really don't care, honestly. TIIC are definitely propping to bring Genie back sometime this year, so they want to keep Laura in everyone's head. I'm not going to let it bother me in the least, mainly because work is a BEECH and I'm too tired to give a damn right now. I tend to agree with Lainey and Keaton on this one. They're pushing LuNacy right now, and this is a soap. The fact that they're trying to be together and being thwarted (as opposed to just not giving a damn about spending time together) means TIIC are taking them seriously as a couple. As for him mentioning Laura and Skye, hey, don't any of us remember back when Luke would talk for hours without ever mentioning Tracy at all? Now she comes up in pretty much every conversation. That means she's on his mind, which means she's in his heart. Okay, I'm thinking like a fanfic writer, and not a soap watcher. But it could happen. All is not lost. Wow, I'm so much more positive when I don't actually watch the show... EDIT: Stace, the new vid ROCKS. I love your use of light effects, and your clip choice was perfect. You are just soooo good at these things. Really....
  11. tracyluvr, are you the one who was having trouble registering for JE.com? Tracey said to go ahead and email her and she will set up a temporary account for you. MsQ, thanks for the positivity dust. It helps. Really it does. So would coffee and chocolate, but I won't complain about the dust. I WILL get some work done on the smut story this weekend. Oh, hell. It's Thursday, not Friday, isn't it? *grabs more of MsQ's positivity dust* I will get through this week and get more work done on the smut story this weekend.
  12. I slept. Work was like a bad Keanu Reeves action flick yesterday, very fast, very stressful, and not too bright. I'm leaving in thirty seconds for the sequel--wish me luck. Regency, I loved your story. Popsicle, I still haven't read yours. Lainey, do not be depressed. Be creative. Finish "Rage." It's yummy. I did absolutely nothing on my smut story yesterday or this morning. Hopefully, I'll get something done at lunch, or more probably, tomorrow before work. Not hoping for TQ on the screen, but I'd love more fic/vids/fanart on the computer.
  13. Direct quote from Fey: "Mommy, those people are so stupid it made my head hurt." I suppose Mercury is in conjuction with the MORON Nebula today. Gimme some of that positivity dust, woman. I'll snort it straight. Let me guess. No Tracy?
  14. Now is the time for all good LoveFest friends to come to the aid of their fellow LuNatic. HUGS are needed. I'm surrounded by Drama Queens and I don't think TQ will be on today. Somebody give me some good news. :pouts: ETA: No, really. Things are being thrown. I'm surrounded by insane people and my brain is going numb from the ARGH. Please, tell me something good. Show me a picture. Sing me a song. All together now: "The wheels on the bus go round and round, round and round, round and round. The wheels of the bus go round and round, all the way to school!"
  15. Nex, thanks for the clips. I watched it twice before going to work today. I lurve them. I have about 8 pages in Word of what happens AFTER the MetroCourt scenes from yesterday. I started it on Friday, and modified it slightly to adjust for the scenes aired yesterday. I'm handwriting at lunch, typing at 6:30 in the morning before work. At this rate, She Who Will Not Be Named will have come back from her Rutabaga State again by the time I'm done. But I'm hoping it will be worth the wait.
  16. In the break room for a teeny-tiny while... http://pub13.bravenet.com/chat/show.php/1049349012
  17. Breakdowns, anyone? For those of us who are not supposed to be here? I'm so beside myself at this point. Please tell me they go all the way.
  18. I totally see Jane Lynch, and she looks great! Did you see the cover article they did of her in The Advocate a few months back? The photos were to die for. You might want to see if it's archived on their website. It was a good article. I would definitely love to read what you've written, as far as LuNacy Love goes. I wrote a couple of pages at lunch. The smut part is over, and now we must pay for our fun with angst and character development. Ha, that's my cruel streak coming through. *waves to MsQ*
  19. Are we there yet? I'm slowly working on LuNacy smut. I think it's pretty good, but what do I know? (Except how to recognize Dyke Purses on sight--THANKS LAINEY!) I think we should get some good fic out of this fiasco--art thrives in times of strife. Come on, let's get those protest fics and videos going. Channel your frustration into something creative. Yeah, team! Okay, I'm done with the positivity. Takes too much energy. Are we there yet?
  20. My hopes for TQ/LuNacy on today's show are rapidly fading. However, you can see The Purty on the SZ Message Board. Sigh. It looks like that's as close as we're going to get today.
  21. Does anybody even care about watching today?
  22. A friend of mine always does that to me, and her hair always looks atrocious. I just smile and say, "Oh, you got a hair cut. Wow. When did you get it cut?" That just leads them into talking about it, and I smile and keep my mouth shut. I usually slide right past the "Wow, you look like a badger committed suicide on your forehead" comment without anyone ever noticing. Sorry you're having a rough day.
  23. Well, since you asked...I've been working with the public since 1985, longer than many of the posters here have been alive. I've been editing and mentoring writers and artists since the early 90s--again, longer than a lot of people here have been alive. And if I've learned nothing else in my years of experience, it's that how you express your opinion is often more important than what your opinion is. People who ask for opinions/feedback are usually hesitant to do so, and only a sincere desire to improve is enough to motivate some people to ask. Even if they're just looking for flattery (like I was in a recent email to a mailing group of mine), they are asking for a reason. If a friend asks you for an opinion, they're asking you as a friend. A good rule of thumb is to respond as a friend. In other words, if you don't like it, be gentle. If you like it, be generous with your praise. If you think it needs work, suggest positive improvements while still helping to maintain the person's fragile ego. If this is too much to ask of you, if you feel it is too much of a strain on you to have to "walk on eggshells" when providing feedback, then politely refuse the request. Your friend will appreciate it much more than false praise or damning criticism. Just my opinion. We all have one.
  24. LaineyBev, I read what you sent of "Rage." Finish it. It is NOTHING like my story. I am so humbled and awed by your ability to sculpt words. Finish it, please, and post it as soon as possible.
  25. I have madlove for that picture, MsQ. Mad. Fracking. Love. Mad. Love.
