That's a hot look for Zach. 

While I do feel that there is some improvement, I don't think it's improved as much as others feel it has. I think the Gray Story and Jon Sen were both so hated, that both leaving at the same time, caused a bit of a "placebo effect". It would be almost impossible for it to not look better. I'm still reserving judgment until Chris's name starts to appear in the credits. 

Where the hell did Sonny go? He was still at the Dimera Mansion on Friday. It seems weird he'd take off, especially after how angry and obsessed he was. 

If that's the route they are going (and it's hard to know for sure after just 1 episode), I wouldn't be against it in theory. We saw in Beyond Salem, Sonny thought Will was cheating, Leo came back in his life, which made him even further upset. There's all the stuff with Adrienne and Bonnie... Then if Will's gone half the time (due to Chandler's schedule). I feel it would make sense if written well. Acting wise, Zach would do a great job. 

Nope. Sonny told Chad he dropped Will and Ari off at the airport. Wil's flying back to Arizona. 

While too early to know for sure. Part of me wonders if an alcoholism story is in the cards for Sonny. Chad mentioned Sonny poured the drinks strong and they kept cutting to Sonny with a drink in his hand. 

The episode's not over and I can already hear the MAGA outrage after that scene of Sonny acting a bit disgusted at the sight of Chad and Abby kissing.

I'll take this over the other crappy stories. This actually sounds like it could be entertaining.

Oh I know he's been flying in to film scenes since September. I also remember being told, him being on recurring wouldn't be obvious on screen. Will's been back 2 weeks and the show is already writing excuses for Will's absence. 

So today Kate told Gabi that Will flew back to Arizona with Ari. Will isn't going to stick around to see this plan blow up? Convinces Chad to go along with the plan, gives Sonny a good plowing, then just peaces out. How nice of him. LOL 

The Chad, Sonny and Will stuff was the best part of today's episode. First off, Zach did a great job with the material today. Those tears...  Actually all three actors did well. Chad works so much better when he's around Sonny and Will. 

I can get on board with Sonny and Will doing this out of revenge. That is something that makes sense enough for me. Will is still Sami Brady's son and I always felt Sonny could have a vengeful/ruthless side. Which I feel DAYS did try to do for a bit when Freddie was in the role and fighting with Brady over Titan, but it mostly just failed. Now we actually have a capable actor in the role, they might have better success this time. 

Based on the limited information they gave. Sounds like sepsis. They are giving him an IV Antibiotic. That's not what you give someone with the Covid virus. 

I understand why Sonny and Will felt the need to tell Craig about Leo.  Sonny got scammed and wish someone warned him. I get it. But why do they care so much to scheme to break up Craig and Leo? Normally, when characters scheme to break up couples, either they don't like who a relative is dating or have a romantic interest and want to swoop in afterwards themselves. Neither are true for Sonny and Will in this scenario. They barely know Craig. Last I remember (which was a long while ago), Sonny and Brady rarely ever got along. So why does Sonny feel so compelled to do Brady a favor? 

This plan for Chad to bed Leo. Unless this is a precursor for Chad discovering his bi side 

then it's stupid. Probably going to be played for laughs. I hope it's at least entertaining. 

Zach is a talented, good looking guy with a famous last name in the industry. I am surprised he hasn't made it bigger yet, but this is a funny business that's hard to predict. I am thrilled to have him at DAYS under contract. Hopefully he stays a very long time. 

I interpreted Zach's previous interviews vastly different. All his interviews promoting Beyond Salem it seemed super obvious he wanted to be on the main show full time. Chandler was the one that seem to hedge in his answers every time he was asked about it. Which I don't blame Chandler for doing. DAYS already let him go twice, I wouldn't give up a great paying job in Atlanta for DAYS either. 

It's great that Chandler is willing to fly back and forth, but I don't see how that's going to be viable in the long term. Chandler has already said that Will isn't going to get the meaty stuff he used too. Eventually Sonny is going to need a full time love interest, not a part time one. 

The Allie and Will scenes were the best part about today's episode. The talk about bisexuality was great.  Will hasn't even been back a full week yet and already showing how much he's an essential character to the fabric of the show. 

We do need a proper sex scene for WilSon 3.0, as hot as the shower scene was, that doesn't really count.

Agreed. Even though I loved Zach as Fen and Fen really should be a regular,  Y&R wastes almost all their young talent. They'd do nothing with him over there. DAYS isn't prefect, but I think they'll use Zach as Sonny very well. 

That's great news. I think a lot of suspected he was on contract after that cast list leak, but glad to get confirmation. He's way too talented of an actor to risk keeping on recurring and bolt to another show. Also probably means that the show has a long term plan for Sonny.

Chandler's acting was petty solid today too. 

Will looked very hot today. The haircut, the beard, the outfit. It just worked. I loved his scenes with both of his siblings. I also really like the idea of Will and Johnny not getting along. I'd keep that dynamic even after the devil stuff is over.  I assume we are getting more Will and Allie, tomorrow, but I did like what we've got so far. It took Will a long time to come to terms with his sexuality, so helping his sister in a similar position I think is really sweet. 

I do think there are decent stories on DAYS, but the devil possession story is terrible and dragging the whole show down. You take that out, you have a solid base to build from.

My head canon is that Chad is on Sonny's hall pass and EJ is on Will's.  DAYS needs to make at least one of them actual canon.

Agreed. I felt that Ron preferred Horita, but when CS left, had to change things and he didn't have any more interest in writing for WilSon than we did watching them. I also felt Chandler came alive more with Christopher than he did with Freddie. Now that we have Zach as Sonny, it's a whole new ballgame. 

As great as it is that Chandler is willing to fly back and forth, I wonder how viable this going to be in the long run. Using your PTO, waking up at 5am LA time for an 8am meeting on the East Coast. Pulling double duty on two different coasts. I feel like that is going to be exhausting. Then Chandler also says " for logistical reasons you can't really be the center or integral part of the storyline".  What does that mean for Sonny then? Are we going to be getting a lot of Sonny without Will? How long is that viable? 

Overall I enjoyed the episode. Amazing how much better it is when Ben and Ciara aren't on and the Possession story isn't featured.  Great having Sonny and Will back. I loved that the spent most of the first episode back connecting to family.  Will and Marlena has always been my favorite grandson/grandmother bond. Chandler and Dee did not miss a beat. I like how Marlena said she is facing losing her job and facing repercussions. That could be an interesting story beat to play out. 

The Sonny and Justin scenes were great too. Zach is the best thing to happen to this character. Him and Wally already work so well together despite this being their first episode. 

This plot against Leo is going to fail big time, but I'm ready to watch it blow up in everyone's face.
