  1. YES Cat, to all of it!

+1 (about RHOA, don't watch BH any longer).

Agreed, I meant to specify that. Haven't watched BH this season.

    What?? Y'all aren't watching BH?

    latest?cb=20150413004111

I wouldn't say it's as good as last season, but it's certainly still more enjoyable than the mess that was season 4. Still have to watch last night's eppy.

No, I haven't been watching. As everyone knows, my favorite BH housewife was Brandi, and obviously she's gone. I also loved Kim, and she's gone too. I can't stand Kyle, to the point that even when I was watching, she almost made me not want to. As much as I loved LVP seasons 1-3, I've found her increasingly disgusting since season 4. Lisa Rinna is someone I always liked, but last season made me dislike her. Eileen I love as an actress and liked well enough on the show, but not enough to make me watch. Yolanda I have always liked and, while I do believe she is sick, I don't necessarily want to watch another season where that's all we talk about. Also, I find it disgusting to question someone's illness, and that appears to be what the main storyline is this season. I don't care what it "looks like" or even if Yolanda is delusional, she's obviously ill with something and I think it's extremely tacky to center a show around screaming at a sick person that they're not sick.

So, there's not really much reason for me to watch, lol.

  2. Lady Gaga will also be singing the national anthem at the Super Bowl 50 this Sunday. QUEEN.

Okay, she can sing, but I find it a bit ridiculous she's doing the Bowie tribute. WTF? It should be someone of his caliber, or at least a contemporary of his. She is a WTF choice.

I think she's a good choice.  Whenever I saw images/videos of Bowie, he reminded me of Gaga with all the weirdness and costumes.

But isn't the whole point of this career "resurgence" that she's leaving all the stupid costumes behind? They are, along with her genuinely weird demeanor, the reason her career died so quickly.

Oscar nomination for Gaga (with Diane Warren, one of my favourite song writers).  Things seem to be going up her lately.   I hope this upward trend will translate into good music again.   Curious to see who she'll work with on this new album.

    How was this missed?

    I'M CRYING

  4. It appears the tides have turned against Kenya pretty badly, at least for now. Cynthia deleted all of the posts about Kenya's birthday apparently. Nene/Kenya seem to be beefing again. Kim has beef with her. Phaedra and Porsha openly dislike her anyway so odds are they'll work their way into the beef somehow, even if it's just defending others. The only person who might defend her is Kandi. We'll have to see how the rest of the season goes, but from what I've heard, Kenya is involved in a lot of drama as the season progresses.

  5. I'm so excited that it appears this season is going to be the downfall of Kenya.

Also, Brandon, to address that shade you tossed in my direction earlier, I certainly can (and have) admitted when my faves are wrong (Nene, Brandi, etc.), however, y'all are so determined to see them as the antichrist that you don't see me do so.

Honey, isn't every season the 'downfall of Kenya?' But she still comes back every season getting underneath the women and viewers skin, so clearly she's winning.

I didn't toss shade in your direction. That was for anyone who is guilty. You interpreted it however. No one is asking you to view them as the antichrist. I sure as hell don't view Kenya that way b/c I can't be influenced easily. I love her. Simple as that.

No, I don't think I've ever said that a season was her downfall. Season 5, obviously was her introduction. But seasons 6/7 were anything but her downfall - they were the years spent shamelessly hyping her as the second coming (for no reason), as she set herself UP for her downfall. Thankfully, it appears now that the time has come.

I don't doubt that she'll recover, though - The thing about Kenya is that she is DESPERATE to stay on this show, so she will change everything about herself, her screen presence, her mannerisms, her demeanor, in order to stay relevant and keep her job. As many personalities as we have seen from Kenya, not one of them has been completely her. So, as she is roasted over the coals this reunion, she will come back next year acting "changed", but still being the same [!@#$%^&*] stirring liar, and she will maintain her spot on the show. It doesn't hurt that she is so largely hated already - she doesn't have to worry about an eroding fan base. The difference between Kenya and other housewives who have had "downfalls" is that she will change her entire persona to stay relevant, where as when fans grew tired of other housewives personalities, they continued to be themselves because they're not going to leave all dignity at the door for the show. So Kenya may overcome her downfall - but it's nothing to be proud of.

Also - I realized my initial post came off a bit more passive aggressive than I intended it to, Brandon! I didn't mean to imply that you were shading me in a negative way, just that I caught your shade and that I was giving you the whole tree in return. :);)

  7. I think Karen is my favorite. Giselle is Kenya Moore with real money.

We'll take that. That means that Gizelle, much like Kenya, is the star of the show. :P

okay upon watching more, Karen is a bit too crusty. Charisse is tragic and like someone else said, looks like JAY Z. Can't stand Ashley as she just feels vapid and gold digger-ish. Not sure how I feel about Robyn and Katie. Giselle I like the more I see but she's very extra.

    Am I forgetting anyone?

  8. Please, those are Nene's leftovers that Kenya took, just like she's been taking for years. If anything, Porsha and Kenya were both taking HER leftovers by doing CA. What has Porsha taken from Kenya? Lol you know better, boo! Are these heifers tainting you?

  9. @Mr. Vixen But is there much of a difference in what she said (i.e. her parents giving her up)? She simply could've meant that her father wanted to give her up for the time being and got his mother to do so. Kenya's father has somewhat alluded that he didn't want to collect her until financially stable, which was when he moved the family to Texas.

You're probably absolutely right, I just noticed that was slightly different. The only thing I found a little odd was the mom's quote about open communication vs. Kenya saying the mom would never speak to her.

Either way, I do feel sorry for Kenya having to feel that pain. I may not like her, but I wouldn't wish that kind of hurt on anyone. Whether she's fudging the details or not, the bottom line is that she has no relationship with her mother and that's obviously a source of pain on some level for her, and that sucks. I sincerely hope she finds peace in that regard and can learn to simply value the love she DID have and move on from the loss. I know that's way easier said than done, but I hope she can achieve that. At the end of the day, that's a lot to carry around.

She did acknowledge on Twitter awhile ago that her mother did reach out to her after she won Miss. USA but claims she felt it was disingenuous and she didn't reply out of bitterness on her part, and rightfully so. Why would Kenya reach out to her when her mom is only doing it (at that time) b/c she was at an all time high and getting a lot of exposure?

It is gonna be hard for her to find peace but it has to be done. I think I am sympathetic with her b/c her story is somewhat similar to mine. Instead, mine is neglect from my father, who'd pop in and out and constantly play the victim when I'd call him out on him being absentee. It's taken me a long time to let it go but I feel like I am almost there. It does also make me hesitant to start new relationships with people b/c I will always question if I can trust and depend on them. Childhood neglect is a bitch....

I feel empathetic towards Kenya bc Ive witness this happen with my cousin who's mother dropped her on her paternal grandmother's (mine as well) doorstep less than a week old and pretty much abandoned her. My cousin has kids now as well and has gotten peace bc she sees her mother at Thanksgiving but it took over 25 years to get to that point. Its hurtful. Im feeling like Aunt Lori bc my younger sister and my father do not talk and nothing Ive been able to do has done any help to mend those fences. My other sister saw her father for the first time in about 30 years this weekend and no words were exchanged . Its sad all around but I feel for Kenya's family issues bc they feel so familiar to me

I agree, I definitely feel for Kenya. I, myself, have a brother I haven't spoken to in 8 and a half years. Not the same thing, but any family issue is tough. I do hope she finds some form of peace.

  11. The other day I actually heard someone say: "Even if he did it, he's an old man...just let him live his life now."

The women he did this to will live with it for the rest of their lives, including when they are "old". If they have to face that pain and burden, he should have to face the pain, he should have to face the punishment.

    People are so dumb.

  12. Okay, I have a question. So, last week I was pretty sick and laid up in bed watching RHOA reruns. I happened to catch the season 5 reunion, during which Phaedra and Kenya went toe-to-toe about the workout videos, both claiming their videos were Amazon best sellers. Now Phaedra is saying she never released a video? Is this issue with Todd in reference to another, unrelated video? Or were Kenya and Phaedra just lying during the season 5 reunion? Cause I specifically remember seeing Amazon statistics for both videos so I'm confused?

I thought so at first but Phaedra went into business with Kenya to release Donkey Booty. She had a seperate video with Todd which was about maternity fitness. I had no idea that one existed and its bc it never came out. I was like why is Phaedra lying when she said she gave birth the next day when she looked relatively slim in that tight green workout outfit. Different video

Oh okay, thank you Cheap. I was so confused and thought surely production can't be that disorganized that they would let her pretend she never released a video when they talked about it at the reunion lol. Thank you for clearing that up!

    _______

Okay, I haven't really commented on this yet, but I'm going to now...

I do feel sorry for Kenya and her situation regarding her mother. That has to be tough, for anyone. However, what did she expect when she showed up at that woman's house? If your own mother refuses to speak to you at family dinners and holidays, what made you think she was gonna open the door when you showed up with a camera crew? And Kenya lying and saying "I'm alone" was a little weird to me considering she not only had a camera crew, but also a van full of people, with her. I'm not saying her pain isn't very real, but I feel she's definitely playing this up for the cameras and it's not coming across as genuine as it might otherwise.

Also, here's an interview from 1993, right after she won Miss USA. There's a quote from her mother, who congratulated her. Kenya even says her mother called her after she won, but that she didn't want a relationship with her until there was an apology. Her mother is even quoted saying "the lines of communication are always open". Also, on the show, Kenya said that both of her parents wanted to give her up and her paternal grandmother ASKED to adopt her. In this interview, however, it states that her father ASKED his mother to take Kenya in, because he wanted to keep her but didn't feel he could provide for her. Definitely an interesting read and makes me wonder how honest Kenya is being when she tells this story.

Regardless, a sad situation and it explains a lot about the way Kenya interacts with other women.

  14. Two years ago when I called Cynthia a flip flopper, y'all were shouting from the mountaintops that she had "just grown a backbone". Now that she's turning on Kenya, all the sudden you all are calling her a flopper. Which is it y'all?

I I haven't seen the editing as shady towards Kim at all. She was right to remove her kids. Yes, they need to be introduced to those topics but that was anADULT setting and the conversation was too mature. Also, in Miami, she never said Glen wasn't threatening, she said Kenya provoked him and she did. When you see someone acting a fool, the answer isn't to get in their face and try to throw them out in front of anyone. Kenya knew goddamn well that would get him riled up. She was just being messy, as usual. Had she really been concerned with anyone's safety, she would've quietly spoken to security and let them handle it. As usual, she was creating drama then screaming victim. And that's all Kim pointed out - rightfully so.

So happy to see Nene! She's as flawless as ever. This was definitely filmed post-Jamaica tho. Just goes to show you how desperate production was to get her back.

  15. My thing is, I don't feel Kim needed to step it up or prove anything. They took a risk and cast someone who is different from the current cast. You have to anticipate time for her to  get to know the girls and get comfortable with the situation. I think she's already provided many great moments and her solo scenes are fun. Now that she knows the girls I'm not surprised things are picking up for her story. She's finally in the mix. I can't wait to see how she interacts with Nene.

oh I completely agree, I've been her biggest cheerleader. But certain people have been whining that she's not ratchet enough lol

  16. Queen Nene returned so they had to release a new trailer hunni! YASS!! Also I LOVE KIM FIELDS! I can't wait to watch her drag Direct-to-DVD-Moore!!!! Looks like she's really gonna step it up in the second half of the season, so all you haters can stay seated.
