  1. Lyla tries to comfort Katie, telling her that what she did was heroic. Doris didn't die in innocence, she reminds her daughter. Katie huffs that Lyla was the one that was practically screaming "guilty" when Michael was accused of trying to kill Doris. Later, Brad informs Katie that Michael spoke with him at the jail and he's leaving town as soon as he's released. Katie wants to stop her uncle, but Brad holds her back and tells her to give her uncle some room for a change. Exhausted, Katie thanks Brad for bringing a recorder along to tape Doris's confession. Brad grins and teases that he learned from the best. Will stirs in bed as he hears the phone ringing. Finally, he bolts to his feet and puts the receiver against his scruffy face. It's the bookstore reminding Will that he was supposed to come in today. With a stern grunt, the manager informs him that he's been fired. Angry, Will kicks a Chinese take-out carton on the cluttered floor and returns to bed. Meanwhile, Gwen wakes up over at Iris's. The baby's incessant screaming doesn't seem to be stopping anytime soon as Iris tries to soothe her granddaughter. Fearing the worst, Gwen suggests they take her to Memorial and have Bob check her out. Iris asks if they should call Will and Gwen reluctantly debates the idea. Alison sits at the table, reading the latest gossip magazine when suddenly, Casey appears at the door. Cheerily, she answers the door and asks how the peace-making meeting with Aaron went last night. Casey turns his head and informs her that he's quitting Donovan's today and just wanted to give them a heads up so they can find a replacement. Alison fears that Aaron made matters worse, but Casey whirls around and grumbles that Aaron didn't make things worse...she did! Meeting at a hole in the wall bistro in Canada, Barbara takes a seat in a corner booth and waits for her demented ex-husband. Before long, James strolls in and reminds Barbara that he hates being double crossed before checking her for wires. Barbara is put off by James's groping hands and shoves them aside, hissing that he should just hand the papers to her to sign. James smirks and pulls them out of his briefcase, handing them to Barbara. As she puts the finishing stroke into her signature, Paul bursts into the room and yells out for Barbara not to sign a damn thing! Grunting, Carly bends down to do the heap of laundry that has been left behind during their trip to Chicago. Sage comes down looking for her favorite shirt and Carly playfully teases her for still wearing a shirt with elephants on it. Out of the corner of her eye, Sage spots Parker's greasy clothes hanging out the side of the basket. She rushes upstairs to give Parker warning, but it's too late. Carly, having found the greasy clothes, holds them up for Parker to see and demands he tell her what's going on. Rubbing the grease off of his hands with a rag, Jack opens the door, announcing that he finally found out what's wrong with the car. Carly turns towards him and chimes in that she too has found the culprit, before finally turning back to face Parker. Jack, baffled, stares on.
  2. This is a 2 week synopsis for the week of 9/15 and 9/22. ---------------------------------------------------------- Dusty wakes up and feels beside him. His hands run down a naked body barely wrapped in a sheet and he turns to face her. Emily smiles and tells Dusty that she is officially out of his life since she still hasn't given him an answer and it's been 24 hours since he proposed. Dusty grins and teases that she said "yes" enough times last night that he thinks he knows her answer by now. Emily's still unsettled about the whole idea, but Dusty quietly sympathizes that they can go as slow or as fast as Emily wants. Later, Alison drops by to tell Emily of Michael's hearing and finds her sister and Dusty wrapped in sheets. On her way out, Alison bumps into Casey in the lobby of the Lakeview. Casey seems concerned and Alison asks him what the matter is. Casey informs her that Aaron has asked him to come by the house and talk. Alison calls Aaron, but he surmises he was just going to settle things with Casey and offer an olive branch. Alison thanks him for being so forgiving and for finally realizing that Casey is not a threat to their relationship. He's just a friend, she says. Later, while Alison appears at Michael's hearing, Casey arrives at Alison and Aaron's apartment and can't find Aaron. He hears the shower running and guesses Aaron forgot he was coming by. Opting to leave and just come back, Casey strolls past the dining room table and notices a box of letters and pictures. In the box are all the nude photos and gorey letters that Gabe has been sending Casey and that Margo had been hiding. Aaron comes out of the shower as Casey fumes, wanting to know where Aaron got all this trash. Aaron hold back a smile and shrugs that he guesses Alison picked it up one night when she was dropping him off at his house. "After all, she doesn't want you to get hurt again", Aaron sighs. Tom informs Susan that Michael's hearing has been scheduled for the next day. Susan refuses to go, but upon urging from Alison to go and "face her demons", Susan agrees. At the hearing, Michael tries to plead his case once more to Susan but Emily stops him from "humiliating her mother any more". Doris is weak when she testifies, but recalls the night in question. Doris claims Michael was sleeping with her and when she suggested they tell Susan about their reunion, he went into a rage. Michael gets up to testify and the D.A. berates him with questions. Brad notices Katie crying and escorts her outside. In tears, she tell him they have to prove Michael is innocent. She can't bear to lose her uncle. Later, after the jury goes out to deliberate, Katie and Brad quietly corner Doris in the parking garage. Katie won't stop pushing, despite Doris (and Brad's) multiple attempts to calm her down. Finally, Doris snaps and admits the whole thing was a set-up. Doris, now furious after recalling Katie's interference in her marriage to Michael, lunges after her and pins her to the ground. The ladies ensue in a fight as Brad tries to pull them apart. Margo appears and stuns Katie, forcing her to let go of Doris. Doris, on the edge of the parking garage wall, loses her balance and plummets to the ground. Katie fears she'll be arrested for murder, but Margo informs her that it was all self-defense. The coroner pronounces Doris dead as Katie wails to Margo that Doris admitted she framed Michael and now, they'll never be able to prove it. Brad, with a grin on his face, pulls out a tape recorder. "I didn't become a reporter for nothing," he chimes. The next morning in the Snyder household is hectic, but it's obvious to Carly that the kids and Jack relish being together in the house again. Conversely, she feels awkward and deliberately keeps her distance from Jack. She lets him take the kids to school in her car, and calls a cab to take her to work. At a staff meeting, Kim brings up the yearly affiliates awards ceremony in Chicago, and encourages them to attend. Later, Kim pulls Carly aside and informs her that she's getting an award for all of her hard work and wonderful set designs at WOAK. Carly wonders aloud if she should bring her family and friends. Kim gives a stern nod and says that this is an award that has never been given to WOAK. Playfully, Kim teases that in all her time at the station, she hasn't seen anyone as talented as Carly. She apologizes for underestimating her, but Carly refuses the apology and thinks Kim has been much too kind to her. Later, after Jack convinces Carly that bringing the kids along will be some good family time they can spend together, they all arrive in Chicago. Kim offers to have her assistant watch the kids while Jack and Carly attend the ceremony. After the award has been presented, Jack suggests they go for a celebratory drink before returning to the hotel. Once they have a few drinks, Carly wonders aloud why Jack came to Chicago with her in the first place to a "boring awards ceremony". With a quiet bitterness, Jack tells her he gets "the message". She doesn't want him hanging around anymore. Carly denies she's made any decision about their future, but she feels guilty and pressured and spending family time together with him and the kids only makes it worse. Softening, Jack takes her hand, and tells her to take all the time she needs. "I don't want to mess this up, Jack," she declares, kissing his cheek. "You won't", he replies looking deep into her eyes. The moment overtakes her, and Carly gingerly brushes her lips against his. Arriving in Canada, Barbara calls Paul who scolds her for coming all this way when he just told her not to. Barbara frets that she couldn't hear him and came because she thought he and Rosanna were in trouble. With reluctance, Paul agrees to meet Barbara in town so that they can resume their search. Paul tries to make amends for the previous night with Rosanna, but she coldly remarks that she just wants to find Cabot and leave the country so that James can never find them again. Paul had no idea Rosanna wanted to leave and gets quite upset. On their way to meet Barbara, Paul and Rosanna gets seperated in the midst of a parade in town. Later, we see someone coming out of being unconcious. Surrounded by unfamiliar things, Paul remembers being bopped on the head. Not to his surprise, James emerges and promises Paul freedom if he tells him where Cabot is. Paul denies knowing where Cabot is and argues that he thought his father had the child. James tells Paul that if they work together, they can find Cabot, Paul will become a hero, and Rosanna will re-open her arms to him. Teased by the idea, Paul goes along with it, but plans on eventually leaving James in the dust when he does find Cabot. James later calls Barbara and makes a seperate ultimatum. He will exchange her Paul for her signature. Curious, Barbara asks what the hell James is referring to. Boasting, he reminds his former wife of a missing document and a new intern and suggests that one might have to do with the other. With that, he hangs up. Rosanna, meanwhile, has found Barbara and the two women decide to call Carrie. Noticing that James's plan has taken a different course, Carrie lies and tells Barbara that James was wanting her signature on a marriage certificate that he had her obtain. By herself, Carrie wonders if James's change of plans might be the end of the road for her....meaning he will finally hold up his end of their agreement. Noah drops by and Carrie tells him that she might be leaving town soon. Distraught, Noah fears it's because they're moving too fast, but Carrie shakes her head and issues a vague "you'll see". Jade settles in for a quiet day at the apartment with Colin. So glad to have the day off, Jade guesses that since Colin wants to know so much about her family, he should meet them. The idea proves to be a mistake when Colin asks Lily why Rose seemed to want no financial help from Lily or her mother. Lily becomes upset and excuses herself. Lucinda waltzes in, overhearing, and warns an extremely embarassed Jade to keep her boyfriend away. Later, Jade decides to go for a run to clear her head. She runs past Donovan's and finds Luke outside. Luke just dropped off his application and wonders what Jade's doing in this part of town. Jade heaves that she couldn't stand to be around Colin one more second. Luke asks if he's still saying a bunch of stuff about Jade's mom, his Aunt Rose. Jade huffs that she's beginning to be creeped out. "It's not exactly protocol for your new boyfriend to be asking a millino questions about your dead mother", Jade hisses. Luke decides that Colin must have some sort of motive and suggests they get to the bottom of it. At Donovan's one night, Colin approaches Luke and asks what his beef with him is. Three sheets to the wind, Luke steps up and declares that Colin's creepy with all the questions he keeps asking about Rose...not to mention that he and Jade only knew one another a week before they moved in together. Colin smirks that Luke's aunt must have been a real whore since nobody ever wants to talk about her. With that, Luke smacks Colin square in the eye (twice!) before finally fleeing. In a rage, Luke calls Jade in the middle of her shift at Java and grumbles that Colin just called her mother a whore and Luke punched him for it. "We've got to find out why this guy is so interested in Aunt Rose," Luke says. "and get him out of our hair as quickly as possible." Kim comes home from the awards ceremony in Chicago and finds that some of Bob's stuff is in the driveway. Worried, she comes in only to meet Bob in the driveway with a suitcase. She breaks down and begs Bob to stay, only for him to meet her with a puzzled gaze. "Have you not heard?", Bob asks her. "I'm not leaving. I'm going to pick up Chris. He's been released."
  3. The only reason Emily has real reservations is because she doesn't want to hurt or fail Dusty, not because she fears he'll hurt her. Yes, Carrie WAS pregnant. However, she did miscarry. It's going to take a lot for Paul and Rosanna to get back to where they were. After he believed Meg over her, that was the straw that broke the camel's back. She took a leap in even trusting him again. James returned to town, teased her about knowing something about Cabot, and she knew the only way to get to James is through Paul. Rosanna's looking at her partnership with Paul in terms of a temporary business relationship that will help her find Cabot. Paul, however, has been mislead and believes the reason Rosanna chose him to aid in her search for Cabot is because she has forgiven him.

    Episode 92

SO glad Peyton has joined the cast!!
  5. Friday Rejoicing in their victory, the kids breathe a sigh of relief as they sit down for pizza with Jack and Carly. Parker takes the initiative to escort Sage and J.J. away from the table once Jack and Carly start talking. Sage overhears Jack's plans to leave and rushes back to tell her brothers. Quickly coming up with a solution, Parker has J.J. pre-occupy his parents. He sneaks back in through the window minutes later, covered in grease and holding a mechanic part. When Sage asks what he did, he shrugs and says he doesn't know. Cleverly, he smirks and remarks that Jack isn't going anywhere now. While Parker takes a shower, Jack comes back in and sighs that he can't go anywhere. Whatever is wrong with the car, it will have to wait until morning when the mechanics store opens, he concludes. Carly offers him a ride back to the farm, but Jack protests, saying it's too late. He hints that the couch is quite comfy, but throws up the idea that he could sleep in one of the kids' rooms. Carly doesn't give up much of an argument and hesitantly agrees to let him spend the night on the couch. Upstairs, an eavesdropping Sage and J.J. share a celebratory high-five. Emily pecks around on her keyboard, unable to focus as she keeps shooting her eyes towards a photo of her and Dusty on her desk. Finally grabbing up the photo, she puts it face down on the trash can. Alison emerges, scolding Emily on her poor behavior concerning Susan. Emily remarks that she has enough trouble to deal with, but soon caves and decides to give Susan an apologetic visit. Susan first shuns her daughter, shutting the door in her face, but Emily pleads with her through the window that she's hear to apologize. Susan finally lets her in and Emily apologizes for not looking past her own problems to see her mother's hurting. Susan remembers a time that Emily didn't have to worry about being hurt. She recalls when Emily was so young and so innocent. She never knew the pain of love. She only wishes all relationship were like that. Yes, she and Michael weren't officially an item, but she felt like they were gaining ground, she cries. But now, Susan continues, Emily has a chance to not feel the pain of loneliness anymore. However, she's turning away the one man that would move heaven and earth for her. Emily admits she has been cruel to Dusty and his advances, but recalls the hurt she felt after the demise of her marriage to Hal. He treated her so wonderfully, but she had to go and ruin it. She doesn't want to ruin what she has with Dusty. Susan stops her and tells her that the past in the past and she can only look towards the future. Mother and daughter share a tear-soaked hug and make a silent promise to leave the mother/daughter feuding behind for now. Later, Emily returns to the office and finds Dusty sitting in her office. Grudgingly, he points at the picture of them stuck on top of the trash can and grumbles that he guesses this is a "no". Before Dusty can whirl around and storm out of The Enquirer offices, Emily grabs him by his collar and kisses him. Barbara hisses that Carrie's ten minutes over her allowed lunch break. Carrie quickly apologizes and gets to work on the new designs for the teen line. It isn't long before Noah pops his head in. Carrie tries to shoo him away, but Noah says he just wanted to thank her for last night. Before last night, he was regretting everything. He was wishing he had made different choices and wondering if his split from Luke was the right thing. But now, he explains, it's all so clear. He grabs Carrie's hand and tells her that after last night, he now knows that he wants to be with her. Carrie's touched, but not wanting to lead him on, lets him down gently. Seeing his pain, Carrie reasons that they were both drunk and didn't know what they were doing. Noah claims to understand, but outside, he bashes his fist against a wall and watches as his knuckles turn red with blood. Back inside, Barbara harshly rejects Carrie's new designs and orders she stay the night and have new designs on her desk by morning. Carrie sighs. Later, Barbara gets a call from Paul. The line is full of static, but all she can hear is Paul say "Canada". Guessing that her son needs her, Barbara immediately books a flight to Canada. In Canada, Paul and Rosanna comb the streets looking for information regarding Cabot. Rosanna is frantic, deadset in her belief that James is holding Cabot hostage. Paul tries to calm her down and asserts that they don't know that. Posing as relatives, Paul and Rosanna implore the police about the ongoing investigation into the car crash that killed Cabot's adoptive parents. An officer named Tony offers to let them know if he hears of anymore leads. Outside, Rosanna makes an observation that Paul should call Barbara so she won't worry. Through the static, Paul vaguely warns Barbara to stay out of Canada. "We have everything under in control in Canada," he says as he tries to talk though the static. "There's no need to worry. We'll be home shortly." Later, we see Tony meet James and inform him that two people, a man and a woman, came looking for leads at the station. James resolves to take care of it and saunters away. After searching all day and the night before, Paul and Rosanna decide to take a break and start searching again in the morning. Seeing their money dwindling, they both agree on one hotel room instead of two. When Paul tries to kiss Rosanna, she reminds him that they can only be friends. Paul asks her point blank if she is ever going to open her heart back up to him after he believed Meg over her. Hurt, Rosanna turns her back to Paul and issues a stern goodnight from across the pillow barricade on the bed.
  6. For the record, what seemed like Dusty begging in Episode 166 turned into an ultimatum in Episode 167. Never count your chickens before they're fully hatched, Drew. Colin is working for Mr. Taylor, Jade's adoptive father. That has been revealed. However, his mission is still a mystery.
  7. Where is Cabot? That's the million dollar question.
  8. Thursday An extremely tired Margo arrives at the hospital, eager to learn what caused Doris's panic attack. Lyla covers for Katie and later, Brad unintentionally informs Margo that his wife was headed for Doris's room when he last saw her. After lecturing Katie and warning her to steer clear of the investigation, Margo returns home where Tom reveals the D.A.'s office will probably be handling the case and it should make its way to court sometime next week. Alison tries to comfort her mother's heaving sobs, but can't seem to take her mind off Michael. Susan informs her daughter that she confronted Michael earlier and he just looked so innocent. He genuinely thought Susan would believe his lie, she guesses. Back downstairs, Emily reveals that she's always been one to go off the deep end every now and then and do some miserable things to people she truly cares for. Dusty excuses it and offers to be there to keep her sane. Both sort of chuckle and Dusty finally breaks the silence by informing Emily he's giving her 24 hours to answer or he's out of her life forever. Jade waltzes up to Lucinda's guest house and beats on the door. Luke invites her in and asks for more information about her sudden hesitance regarding Colin; remember that this was a guy she was head over heels for just a week ago, he scoffs. Jade carefully explains that Colin keeps asking about how wealthy Lily is and why Rose never dipped into that money. It's kind of creepy that he knows so much, she grumbles. Unsettled, she turns the subject to Luke and Kevin. Luke explains that they slept in the same bed after the grand opening of Donovan's but never had sex; they were way too drunk. Jade's happy for Luke and surmises that it won't be long before Noah is a thing of the past and Luke and Kevin can finally be together. After stopping at the drugstore, Carly stops at Java and spots Carrie sitting in a corner booth. She wanders over and says hello before taking a seat. Carrie asks about the kids, and makes a vague promise to stop by and see them soon. Remembering Jack's distrust, Carly subtly discourages it, assuring Carrie the kids will understand she needs to focus on her new job. When Carly leaves, Carrie picks up her magazine, but gets distracted by flashes of her latest romp with Noah. She's pulled back to reality when her co-worker calls and reports that Barbara's in a frantic search for her. Knowing she doesn't have long, Carrie hails a cab and heads back to work, not eager to see Barbara there impatiently waiting for her.
  9. Wednesday Meeting Alison and Dusty at the door, Emily makes a side comment about Susan being upset upstairs. Alison leaves to check on her mother while Emily stays downstairs with Dusty. Dusty begs Emily to give him a chance and reminds her that he did the same thing by forgiving her for holding him captive. In tears, Emily confesses that that's exactly why she can't marry him. Across town, Nancy confronts Kim at WOAK about her behavior regarding Susan and reprimands her for being so cruel. Kim finally sees just how muchshe's hurt Bob, Susan, and Lisa with Nancy's words of wisdom and breaks down into tears. Meanwhile, Lyla learns from Brad that Katie is headed to meet Doris. As Katie approaches her hospital room, Lyla steps in and cust her off at the pass, warning her she'll only complicate things since Doris thinks Michael's sleeping with her. Katie pushes past her mother and angrily confronts Doris. Hearing Katie's stern and cruel words, Doris goes into convulsions, her monitor starts beeping out of control, and the doctor quickly removes Lyla and Katie from the room. Elsewhere in Canada, Paul and Rosanna decide that they must return to the housekeeper and seek more information. Upon learning that the housekeeper was killed, Paul fears for Rosanna's safety and orders her to return to Oakdale. She refuses, citing that if Paul is going to confront James, then she's coming too. Back from their camping trip, Carly notices Jack wincing in pain and suggests going to the emergency room, but Jack protests. Carly insists on at least going to the drugstore for him. Jack tries to refuse, but Carly smartly suggests he pay her back by fixing lunch. Agreeing, Jack waits until Carly leaves to ask the kids what they prefer---pizza or Chinese. Picking pizza, the three kids return upstairs and meet privately in Parker's room, where Sage excitedly declares their plan a success.
  10. Tuesday Kim pulls into the hospital parking lot, on her way to take Bob the lunch he left behind at home. She stalls when she notices Susan sitting, staring blankly, in her car. As she strolls over, Susan apologizes and quickly scurries into work. Kim's baffled and soon realizes that Susan must have found out about Michael. She confronts Bob with the news, who sends Susan home on account of the fact that she's an emotional wreck. Kim scoffs, but Bob asks her to take pity on Susan; she just found out Michael's been arrested for trying to kill Doris. Kim hisses that Susan should have learned her lesson the first time with Dr. Rick Decker. Bob's put off by Kim's cruel words and walks off, snatching his lunch from her and mumbling a grumpy thank you in the process. Katie visits her uncle again, recalling that the guard had to escort her out last time because she had violated visiting hours. Katie explains that Margo's doing everything in her power to help him. Michael grumbles that Katie doesn't have to lie; he knows that they all believe he tried to stab Doris to death. The only word that can save him is if Doris speaks up, and he laughs when he thinks of his psycho wife telling the judge she faked her own attack. Katie suggests they find another way to get Michael off the hook. Touched by his niece's words, Michael kindly refuses her aid and justifies that he deserves to be sitting here. Just then, Brad comes in and asks to speak with Katie privately. Outside, he tells her that Margo just got off the phone with the hospital and it seems Doris is still weak, but wants to talk. Before he can stop her, Katie rushes out, determined to get to Doris before anyone else. Pulling up at the farm, Holden thanks Lily for going with him. Lily can see that he's still upset and suggests he talk to Emma when she returns. Emma will only sull up and get her feelings hurt if he talks to her, he irritably protests. Later, Aaron comees by and talks to Holden about his problems with Alison. Casey's a bigger threat as a friend than he is a boyfriend, Aaron claims. Holden thinks aloud that perhaps Alison needs to know that. After Aaron leaves, Lily calls Holden out and thinks he needs to swallow his own medicine. Perhaps Emma needs to know that he feels the way he does, she surmises. Dusty brushes past the receptionist at The Enquirer and storms into Emily's office. Dusty can't seem to find her anywhere and irritated, he takes his agression out on Alison, who came to speak with Emily about Aaron's jealousy. Meanwhile, Susan arrives home and finds Emily waiting for her in the living room. Weeping, she explains that Dusty proposed and she doesn't know what to do. Oblivious to anyone's problems except hers, Emily ignores the puffy red eyes of her mother and rambles on and on about her issues with men. Susan finally snaps and tells Emily that she's lucky to have a man like Dusty. At least, she hisses, he doesn't go around trying to kill his ex-wives. Susan dashes up the stairs and Emily realizes what she's done. She tries to apologize from outside her mother's bedroom door, but Susan won't listen. Finally giving up, Emily grabs her keys and heads out the door, only to come facee to face with Dusty and Alison on the other side.
  11. Monday One one knee, Dusty explains that he's not as crazy as he thought he would have to be to propose. After Jennifer's death, he never expected to love again, but in some twisted way, Emily makes him feel whole again. He chuckles that he would have never pictured them together, but "when you know, you know", he concludes. "And now, I know that you're the one. I can't let you get away from me. Emily Stewart, will you marry me?" Speechless, Emily flees out the door in a trail of tears. As James flees the scene, Paul and Rosanna hurry everyone off the bus in just enough time. Paul grabs Rosanna and they duck for cover as the bus blows to bits behind them. Certain his father is tormenting them, they set off to find Cabot in a race against time....and James. Carly tends to the bee stings, leaving Jack slathered in pink calamine lotion. She apologizes for the accident, admitting she overreacted. Jack graciously blames himself for not watching where he was falling, and they exhanged a warm chuckle. From across the camp, Parker, JJ and Sage watched their parents and trade conspiriatorial grins. Barbara opens the door to find clothes scattered all over her living room. In a tell-tale sign, all the clothes seem to be leading to Carrie's part of the penthouse. In dsigust, she flings a pair of men's underwear across the room with the toe of her shoe and bangs on Carrie's door. Although Noah tries to initially hide from Barbara, he soon comes out and hurries past Barbara as her melting glare follows him. Furious, Barbara demands that there will be no more horseplay. She wants Carrie dressed, downstairs, and across town to the BRO offices designing by 10 AM, she orders. Looking at her watch, she shrugs and smiles. After Barbara leaves, Carrie eyeballs the clock and notices the time...9:55 AM. Back at Lucinda's guesthouse, Luke makes his way up from the bed where he was with Kevin. Kevin rolls over as Luke smiles. He leans in for a quick peck before jumping up. Putting on some clothes, he's unaware of Kevin pleasantly staring at him. The two young men decide to head to Java for some breakfast after staying up all night. When they arrive, they see Jade working the counter at Java. As Kevin finds a table for them, Jade confides in Luke that Colin has been acting weird.
  12. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday Almost in a cat and mouse scene, Rosanna seemed to evade James's watchful eye at every turn in Canada. Happening upon a young woman in the park, Rosanna learned that Cabot's adoptive parents were run off the road, but police claimed it was an accident. Putting two and two together, Rosanna gussed that James had something to do with all of this. Before she could reach Paul, though, James trapped her in an elevator and forced her into a bus, discreetly aiming the gun under his jacket at her back. Paul happened to be on the bus looking for Rosanna, which James never counted on. Teary eyed, she told Paul they don't have much time. They need to get people off the bus before it explodes. Lily and Holden brushed past a street sign that read "Howard, Indiana". As they watched Emma pull into a fascinating backyard with live oaks and plum trees, a man approached Emma's car. He greeted her with a kiss on the lips and passionately embraced her. Lily giggled when she noticed Holden's doe-eyed gaze. Furious, he demanded an explanation. Lily concluded that for once, Emma's not having to cook pies and constantly be an on-call psychiatrist for her family; rather, she's found a man who makes her happy and that she likes to spend time with. Holden accused Lily of defending Emma's rationale in leaving her family behind, but Lily concluded that Holden's a big boy. Just because his mama's found a boyfriend doesn't mean she's deserting her family. She just needs a vacation. With that, Holden whirled the car around and headed back to Oakdale. Although Lily seemed almost cheery that Emma had gotten a boyfriend, Holden saw Emma's frequent trips out of town to mean that she'd rather spend time with her boyfriend than her family. Certain Jack went behind her back and volunteered them as chaperones, Carly attempted to weasel out of it, suggesting Jack go with the boys. Sage insisted on going, and Carly reluctantly gave in. When they arrived at the camp site, the kids raced off to the swimming hole. JJ urged his parents to join in, but Carly insisted she had other responsibilities, and left Jack to play lifeguard. As the weekend progressed, Carly kept inventing reasons to not be around Jack. Annoyed, Jack took her behind a cabin and told her she's upsetting the kids by being a wet blanket. Carly furiously replied he should have thought of that before he set up this turn as "chaperones". Jack stared blankly at her, denying he did anything of the sort. Perhaps, he concluded, they had signed up and forgotten. Scoffing at his denial, Carly pushed past him, sending him tripping over a log. She smugly suppressed a laugh as Jack tried to right himself. An ominous buzz filled the air, and they realized he had disturbed a bees' nest inside the rotting wood. Grabbing hands, they ran, jumping into the lake to avoid the angry swarm. Susan approached the jail cell, slowly, trying to rein in her emotions before they got the best of her. Michael shook his head and uttered that he was sorry; he meant to call. Furious, Susan slung her purse against the jail cell bars and screamed. When was he going to call her, she pondered. After he murdered his soon-to-be-ex? Michael denied trying to kill Doris and pleaded with Susan to forgive him. In a rage of tears, she tried to choke Michael through the prison bars. She screamed out that she had put so much trust in him only for him to make her a fool once more, just like Rick did. As the guard calmly escorted Susan out, Michael sank down on his bench and shed a tear. Of all the people he needed to believe him, Susan was the most important. Now, he concluded, he has no one. Just then, Katie emerged and chimed in that that's not true; he has his family. All the college kids within 50 miles of Oakdale appeared for Donovan's grand opening. While Noah and Carrie appeared arm in arm, they were shocked to find Kevin and Luke just feet away on the dancefloor. While Rihanna's "Disturbia" played in the background, Kevin shoved Luke's body against his as he grinded against him. Seeing them, Noah became infuriated and whisked Carrie onto the dance floor, determined to make Luke as jealous as he was making him. In an impromptu dance-off, the two couples vigorously danced until the end of the song. As partygoers clapped, both couples stormed off the dance floor. While Luke and Kevin stayed behind, Noah and Carrie went back to Barbara's penthouse. Carrie invited Noah in, explaining that Barbara stayed the night with Kim. Carrie soon began to recall James's stern words from the other day and started to weep. When Noah tried to console her, emotions took over and the two soon found themselves having hot, passionate sex on the bathroom counter. After an extremely successful opening night, Alison noticed Casey sitting alone all by himself. Aaron decided to call it a night and go home and asked Alison to accompany him to their apartment. Seeing that Casey needed a ride home, she volunteered for the job and chimed out to Aaron that she wouldn't be far behind. Meanwhile, when Aaron returned home, he found a box underneath the bed. The box contained all sorts of photos and letters detailing Gabe and Sofie's happiness in Spain. A wicked gleam reflected in Aaron's eyes as he tucked the box back underneath the bed just as Alison came home. Meanwhile, Dusty and Emily returned to Dusty's to celebrate. Dawning some scandalous lingerie, Emily did a striptease for Dusty. As she crawled into bed, the couple started going at it. Afterward, Dusty grunted and fell back onto the bed. The next morning, Emily awoke to find Dusty on one knee. He admitted that he's tried to find love so many times, but each time, it tends to escape him.
  13. Katie rallied behind her uncle when she learned that Doris was off her medication for biploar disorder. Surely, she concluded, Doris must have done this all to frame Michael. But alas, no one share the same belief. Knowing what Doris was capable of, Michael pushed away his family in an effort to keep them safe. Lyla remained quiet the whole time and slipped away to confront Doris in her hospital room. Doris faintly paged a nurse, who quickly escorted Lyla out. Brad questioned Lyla about where she was and accused her of faking her hatred for Michael. He reasoned that if she truly hated the man, she wouldn't be bothered by all of this. Instead, she's confronting his psychotic estranged wife that he supposedly tried to kill. Lyla barked that Brad knows nothing. She was only visiting Doris, she shrugged, because she pities the woman for having to still be married to such an arrogant, pig-headed womanizer as Michael. All were shocked when a deputy handed Margo a report, clearly labeling Michael's fingerprints as the ones found on the bloody knife used to stab Doris. Kim and Lisa discussed Michael's arrest. Knowing the emotional toll it will all take on Susan, Kim muttered that the blood-sucking leech better look for another shoulder to cry on besides Bob's. Viciously, Kim criticized Susan for her bad taste in men. Lisa took the comment personal and asked Kim to grow up and start acting like an adult before racing out the door. Across town, Susan dropped off some lunch with Emily and asked her what she's working so late for. Emily deviously grinned, hinting that she's working on Oakdale's biggest story of the year. When Susan wanted more details, Emily snapped she should ask her boyfriend. Confused, Susan left and decided to call Michael's house. The maid informed Susan that Michael's been arrested for attempting to kill Doris. At a loss for words, Susan hung up and spun her car around, headed to confront her jailed lover in a storm of anger and tears. Paul came by B.R.O. to visit his mother and convince her to fire Carrie. When Carrie appeared, Paul let her have it and asked what James is holding over her head that she would want to do his bidding. Carrie replied that she simply wants to know all she can about Jennifer and Barbara since Darryl was never there for her as a father. Furious, Paul demanded Carrie stay away from his family and ordered her not to bother them anymore. Later, Noah spotted Carrie at Java and invited her to go to the grand opening of Dusty's new nightclub "Donovan's" with him. Upon recalling that Dusty was once married to Jennifer, Carrie agreed to go with Noah. When she jokingly asked if this was a date, Noah replied with a "maybe". Later, James, in a black limo, crept up beside Carrie and demanded she hand the information over. Looking both ways, she snuck him the file she had recovered from Barbara's desk through the limousine window. "Took you long enough", he grumbled. Carrie apologized and asked what else he needed her to do. "Don't go anywhere," he bellowed. "We're not through yet". With that, the limo sped off and James was gone. Carrie crumbled, asking herself over and over when James will ever live up to his side of their cryptic agreement. Jade hissed at Luke to leave her alone since he's unwilling to accept Colin. Later, Colin got a call from Mr. Taylor and asked if everything was going smoothly. Colin irritably replied that Jade hasn't said anything to him yet. After the phone call, Jade's curious boyfriend questioned her about Rose. Meanwhile, Kevin informed Luke that he thinks Noah is taking Carrie to the grand opening of Donovan's. Luke, curious and a bit ticked, asked Kevin to go with him. Kevin scoffed and insinuated his invitation was just to make Noah jealous. Eager to prove his point, Luke grabbed Kevin into a kiss. Carly opened the door to find Will banging like a mad man. Startled, she commanded Will to go home, but Gwen stopped her. As Gwen and Will headed out to talk, Carly got a call from the kids' school informing her that she and Jack have been volunteered to chaperone a school camping trip. Outside, Will apologized for his part in trying to frame Iris for the robbery at Metro. Gwen replied that she will never trust Will the same again and offered to move her things out first thing. Will cried for Gwen to give him another chance like she does with Iris, but Gwen took the comment the wrong way and scurried inside. Later, Rosanna dropped by in a frantic state, revealing to Gwen and Carly that she just got a call from her contact in Canada and it seems Cabot has been missing since his adoptive parents were killed in the accident. He was never sent to live with family friends, she cried. Both sisters urged her to head to Canada. Rosanna made a call to have her jet prepared. When she was informed it was experiencing mechanical problems, she opted to board a regular flight departing from the Oakdale airport. Paul learned of her plans to go to Canada and insisted he go with her. Rosanna refused and boarded the plane without him. As Rosanna boarded the plane, a disguised James crouched in the rear of the cabin. Meanwhile, Paul asked Barbara to borrow her jet. Barbara asked why Paul doesn't use Rosanna's to which he replied that it's undergoing maintenance. Barbara reluctantly agreed and watched Paul board her jet. While Dusty opened his new nightclub alone, Emily worked at the paper on her feature article outing Michael as Doris's attacker. Alison urged Emily to rethink her rash decision, but Emily hissed back that their mother has a bad habit of falling for murderous doctors. After her explosive exhange with Emily, Aaron politely motioned for Alison to get to work so the opening won't be understaffed. Confused, she replied that she hired plenty of people and sternly asked her boyfriend what he did. Aaron shrugged that Casey wasn't carrying his load, so he made the executive decision to fire him. In a rage, Alison slapped Aaron and took off. Later that night, Alison emerged with a uniformed Casey in tow. Dusty, unware that Aaron fired the new employee, asked Casey why he was late again. Alison covered for her friend and later informed Aaron that they're through until he can learn to deal with his jealousy. Aaron secretly vowed to eliminate Casey from being an obstacle in his relationship with Ali, no matter what the cost. After the opening, Dusty, Alison, Aaron, Casey, and other employees toasted to the successful opening of Donovan's. After Alison dropped off Casey, she ventured into the kitchen and came upon a box chocked full of letters. Reading them, she gagged as Gabe elaborately and chauvinistically detailed his and Sofie's newfound romantic/sexual bliss in Spain. When Tom and Margo's bedroom light came on, Alison dashed out the door with the box in tow. Holden and Lily learned from Emma that she was leaving town again. Holden busted at the seams after his mother's departure and huffed to his wife that they have to find out where Emma keeps going. Lily urged Holden to let his mother live her own life, but Holden snuck out anyway. After finding some random directions written on an old napkin, Holden was determined to find out why his mother keep going out of town. As he cranked his truck, to his surprise, he found Lily in the passenger's seat. "Come on. I'm going to show you that there's nothing to be worried about", she ordered as she eagerly motioned towards the road. --------------------------------------- PLEASE NOTE: "A New World Turns" will be pre-empted Monday and Friday, just like the regular show.
  14. Colin is a dayplayer!!!!!!! Sheesh...
  15. Still unsettled by Gwen's words, Carly tries to clear her head by going for a run. Unable to focus, she gives up halfway through the park, finding a spot near the water's edge to sit. The more she thinks about it, the more annoyed she becomes at Gwen for taking Jack's side. Fuming, she doesn't see Nancy heading her way, until the older lady lays a hand on her shoulder and asks if she needs help. Startled, Carly quickly rises, shaking her head no. Dressed for her power-walk, Nancy gives her a relieved smile. She assumed there was something wrong, since Carly's usually a blur around the park in her running gear. Jade and Colin take a seat outside Java laughing and joking. Kevin approaches and asks to speak with Jade alone. Kevin confronts Jade about her hostile attitude towards Luke. Luke has been nothing but good to her, he argues. And now, Jade's shunning him because he wants whats best for her. Jade reminds Kevin that he has no voice in the matter and anything that she wants to say to Luke, she'll say on her own time. Later, Jade runs into Noah. Noah starts quizzing her about Luke, which frustrates her even more. Jade hisses at Noah that if he's so worried about Luke, he should ask Luke himself. All the talk of Luke brings Jade to her breaking point and she whips out her phone to call him. "We need to talk", she orders. Awkwardly, Carly steers around her own problems to Nancy, and admits concern about Gwen and Will, who are going through a rough patch. Nancy pats her arm, assuring her everything will work out the way it's meant to. Skeptically, Carly fears this time there's no way they can rebuild the trust between them. Especially after so long. Sensing there are more personal concerns than her sister's at heart, Nancy confides that even her marriage to Chris Sr. required leaps of faith. Looking back, she's grateful for all struggles they went through. It makes her cherish their time together even more. Spotting two power-walking friends, Nancy leaves with a cheer-filled wave. Coming through the door of the cottage, Will slings his laptop case on the desk and takes up his usual spot on the couch. Thumbing through the channels on the television, he stops at an E! True Hollywood Story about celebrity divorces. A chill crawls down his spine and Will flashes back to his wife's hateful words. He turns the TV off and decides to scour through the fridge for some leftovers. Picking an old hot pocket out of the door, he closes the refrigerator only to find himself staring face to face with his baby girl. Tenderly, he graps for the picture but becomes startled by a knock on the door. In comes Paul, reminding Will that there are people in this world besides Gwen and Hallie that care for him. There's a thing called a cell phone, Paul reminds his little brother. Put off, Will barks for him to go. Paul slightly blames Barbara for Will's problems and remembers a time when Will shared that same insight. However, Paul injects his brother with some reality when he reports that blood is always thicker than water. Just like Will and Barbara, Gwen is attached to Iris no matter how many mistakes she might make. He thought Will might realize that loyalty would exist. Will fumes that Paul has no room to talk and orders him to leave. Long after Paul has left, his brother's words still ring in his ears and Will heads off to find Gwen.
  16. Alison is Jessica and Casey is Zach. I'm with ya on that one, Drew. P.J., read the next episode to learn about Doris. Last second re-write.
  17. Smiling, Carly opens the door and finds Jack on the other side. She grouchily asks Jack what he wants. Jack replies that he's not done with their previous conversation from last night. Carly quickly sends Sage upstairs to deliver one of Hallie's toys. Once she's out of earshot, Carly matter-of-factly reminds Jack this is her house. Who stays---who goes---is her decision. Jack stares at her for a moment, then asks if she wants him to leave. Katie stirs and immediately recollects last night's events. Brad comforts her while Lyla answers a call from Margo. After she hangs up, she informs Katie and Brad that Michael has been found and brought into the station. Brad reminds his new wife that Doris was originally presumed dead, but they were able to find a faint pulse and she's now hanging by a thread at Memorial. As the officer brings Michael into the station, he meets a solemn gaze from Margo. She immediately asks her late stepfather's brother where he was last night. Michael's stunned at how low and mellow Margo's voice is and can tell something is wrong. Fiddling with his handcuffs, he asks Margo to explain why they brought him in. Margo shakes her head, begging Michael not to play games. "You know damn well why you're here", she barks. "Michael Peretti, you're under arrest for the attempted murder of Doris Finkle Peretti". Sage passes Gwen in the hallway, shoving the toy at her before running into her room and throwing herself on her bed. When Gwen asks her what's wrong, Sage tells her she was sent upstairs so her parents could fight. They do it all the time. Gwen tries to reassure her that her parents just need to discuss things privately. Sage doesn't buy it, and blames Carly for ruining Jack's good mood. Not getting an answer, Jack curtly heads for the door. Carly pales, but remains silent. His hand reaches for the doorknob before he marches back, standing toe-to-toe with Carly. Be angry with him, he tells his ex. But stop putting herself in bad situations just to prove him wrong. Her decisions have nothing to do with him, Carly hisses. "Bull," Jack shoots back, recalling warning her about both Sam and Carrie, only to be ignored. Sarcastically, Carly suggests his "warnings" come color-coded, so she knows the difference between "potential psychopath" and and "people who resent being grilled by ex-FBI agents/detectives". Clenching his jaw, Jack mutters Carrie is no longer his concern. Now that she's found another mark. "Great," Carly mocks. Now she can add gullible and stupid to her list of faults. Carly pushes past him, throws the door open, and tells him to get the hell out. Jack stalks away, ignoring the loud slam of the door behind him. Indulging in the satisfaction of the moment, Carly looks up to find Gwen staring at her sadly. Embarrassed, Carly apologizes, knowing the last thing Gwen needed to hear was more arguing. Gwen waves it off, telling her it's owed to Sage, who's upstairs miserable. Carly starts upstairs to comfort her daughter, but Gwen blocks her path. She may not to hear this, but Gwen's going to say it anyway. Jack's right---Carly is being spiteful. He loves her---she loves him. Jack's been completely upfront, voicing his concern over issues, but listening to her and including her in anything he does. From where Gwen stands after being repeatedly lied to by her husband, Carly should be on top of the world. Joyfully spending time with the man she loves and their happy children. Instead, Carly's throwing away everything she's ever wanted, for the glory of being "right" about a girl she barely knows. Gwen thinks it's tragic that her sister has become so bitter right in front of her eyes. Speechless, Carly's heart sinks like a stone as Gwen walks away.
  18. Casey appears late, but nonetheless present, for his meeting with Dusty, Alison, and Aaron. While Dusty takes the initiative to tell Casey what he'd be doing at the new nightclub, Aaron sees the meeting as an opportunity to plant the seed of doubt in regards to Casey's work ethic. As Aaron alerts Dusty that Casey was late, Alison rolls her eyes. Dusty warns his new employee not to be late anymore and gives him instructions for the first day of work. While Dusty shows Casey around the new building, Alison scolds Aaron and acccuses him of being jealous of her friendship with Casey. Katie wakes up, startled at the sound of a truck door slamming. She raises up and notices Lyla's already at her feet. Katie recalls that Margo went to the station to check on a lead on Michael; and Brad had went with her, vowing to return the moment they found out anything. Katie got up and rushed to the door, joining her mother. "I thought you weren't concerned about Michael," Katie muttered. Lyla explained that she's not, but she would like to know he's alright. He's probably in some cheap motel room or something, Lyla guessed. Just then, Brad emerged from the doorway and asked to speak to the ladies on the couch. Sensing the serious air about him, Katie feared the worst. With a firm look on his face, Brad reported that Michael hasn't been found yet, but they did find Doris...stabbed to death at her house. A car whooshes by and almost runs off the road trying to avoid a haggard looking Michael stumbling along on the side of the highway. Out of breath, he takes a seat on an old stump and collects his thoughts. Why did Doris let him go so easily, he wonders. She had to have some ulterior motive. An absence from his wrist makes him double check his attire. Huffing, he notices one of his new monogrammed cufflinks missing. Knowing where it is, Michael groans and almost chuckles at the instinctive thought of going to retrieve it. "She might have let me go the first time, but going back just to get a stinking cufflink would be the end all that ends all", he quietly chuckles. Getting up to continue walking, he watches a cop car speed by. He ducks into the bushes, afraid of Margo possibly seeing him like this. He grimaces at the thought of Lyla, Katie, and Margo's questions if they were to ever learn he was caught by a policeman walking on the side of the road in the middle of the night. This is all an experience he'd much rather pretend never happened. After a while, he notices another cop car speed by and heads towards a bush. Before he can budge, the car screetches to a halt and a bright light shines on his face. "Michael Peretti?" the officer inquires. "Yes", he hesitantly answers. "I think you need to come with me," the cop announces. Kevin signs his name and grins at the nurse before turning to face Luke. He's ecstatic to be out of this hellhole, he declares to Luke. Luke smiles and suggests he take his friend home. "No, you've been extremely gracious. I can't. I just can't", Kevin explains. Not taking no for an answer, the two load up in Luke's car and drive off. Kevin shrugs that Luke can just drop him off at the dorm, but Luke explains it's not a good night for his friend to stay alone. "Come with me to the farm", he says. Kevin agrees, but after a while of silence, he starts to change his mind. Luke pulls the car over and lectures Kevin that he was just in a bad accident and he left against the doctor's wishes. They wanted him to stay another night, he reminds. Kevin finally sighs and nods his approval. At Emma's, Luke starts to apologize for the things he said to Kevin the other night, but Kevin cuts him off and heads to bed, citing he's too tired to talk. Emma sympathizes with Luke, but points out that Kevin might need some time to himself. Luke can't believe what a douche he was to Kevin, but he thought he could work things out with Noah. Taking his hand, Emma tells her grandson that he needs to decide who he'd rather be with. Noah or Kevin?
  19. Holden and Lily juggle giving Ethan animal crackers, Natalie her allergy medicine, and Faith her summer reading book. Lucinda comes in and laughs at the chaos, asserting that they should take a break. Lily sighs that she has alot of work to do for WOAK since she and Kim have agreed to split responsibilities at the station. Holden pulls Lily aside and tells her that he thinks it would be a good idea for Lucinda to watch after the kids for a while so they can have some alone time. Knowing he's wanting to speak with Lily privately, Lucinda urges her daughter to let her take charge. Eventually, she gives in and shouts to Lucinda some last minute instructions from the door. Michael wakes up to hear Doris humming about the house, without a care in the world. Out of it, he tries to wiggle free from his constraints but there's no budging. Doris giggles that he can't get away that easily. Michael asks why she's doing this. He did just what she told him to. "Ah, but no you didn't," she sternly replies. "I told you to take the other job and what did you do? You never called them back and when you claimed to be going to Bakersfield, you really took a secret flight to Indiana." Doris explains that she followed him because she knew he would never do it. Michael questions her motives and reminds her of their rocky marriage. She never loved him until he left her, he claims. She shrugs that perhaps absence made the heart grow fonder. Michael tries to talk her out of whatever she's planning to do, even suggesting that they run away together since he was only dating Susan to make Doris jealous. Doris starts to fall for the act until Michael accidentally calls her Susan, which sends Doris into a rage. Michael calms her down once more and instructs Michael to cut himself loose and just go. At a loss for words, Michael cuts himself loose quickly and leaves the knife on the counter. As Lily and Holden take a moonlit walk by the Snyder pond, Holden breaks the tension by speaking first. He explains that ever since Jade came to town, he feared Lily's obsession with trying to preserve Rose's memory would follow over into her relationship with her niece. He thought that Jade's questionable antics would cause Lily to blame herself for not being there enough. By bringing Mrs. Taylor to town, he wanted to give Lily a smidgen of reality that Jade's always been mischevious. It's not just something she developed in Oakdale. It's not Lily's fault. Lily thanks Holden for his touching apology, but warns him that her relationship with Rose and Jade is not something to be tampered with. Lily reasons that she knows Jade can be troublesome and she's sure Jade's hiding something, but until she knows for sure, all she can do is be there for Jade....just like she promised Rose she would. Carly stands in her doorway telling Barbara that Gwen is not in the mood to see her mother-in-law. Irritated, she urges Barbara to catch the next broomstick back to town. Barbara sails past her into the house, insisting she's there to talk to her very talented employee, Carrie. Overhearing the exchange, Gwen emerges from the kitchen just as Carrie bounds downstairs. Before Gwen can say anything, Barbara assures her it's a work issue, and takes Carrie out to the porch. Outside, Carrie apologizes for Carly's attitude, but Barbara assures her the catty comments didn't phase her in the least. Barbara launches into the reason for her visit. She wants to offer Carrie the opportunity of a lifetime. Alison pulls Aaron outside and denies having any involvement in getting Casey hired. He simply needed a job and Dusty hired him, she recalls. Aaron growls that Casey has been nothing but trouble for them and he refuses to work with him. Alison stands up for Casey by detailing how Casey almost died because of his deep depression after Sofie left him for Gabe. Aaron remembers, but tells Alison that she's always been one to look past the bad in people and trust their sad sob stories as truth. Alison's shocked to hear him say such a thing. Aaron scoffs and tells Alison that he's going back to Emma's for the night and reminds her to call Dusty about advertisements for the back to school/grand opening bash they're hosting at Dusty's new nightclub. Furious beyond words, Alison snaps that she'll just have Casey help her. Aaron whirls around, gives Alison a deep glare, and races off on his bike. Barbara explains that BRO wants to relaunch their teen line, with Carrie as the assistant head designer. The new position means a raise, as well as long hours. Barbara pointedly suggests Carly's house is way too full of children to properly concentrate on work, and offers her the suite adjoining the penthouse. Not only is it quiet, but it will also make it easier for Barbara to mentor her. Elated, Carrie hastily accepts both offers. When Carrie tells Carly's she's moving out, Carly warns her that Barbara's motives are rarely generous and clear-cut. Carrie thanks her for her friendship during some of the worst times of her life. But she also admits it's been being around Hallie since she miscarried not too long ago. Carly sympathizes, and tells Carrie she's welcome to come back anytime. Across town, Jack picks Sage up from her dancing lesson. When they arrive at Carly's, Carly vaguely mentions Carrie moving out. Jack doesn't hide his pleasure at the turn of events, assuming that Carrie was asked to leave. Annoyed, Carly quickly informs him Carrie moved out on her own.
  20. As Jade searches for a new outfit to wear out on the town, Luke approaches her at Fashions. Jade growls that she doesn't want another lecture and immediately dashes to another rack. Luke follows closely behind and reprimands Jade for being so careless as to move so fast with someone she just met. She just met the guy and she's already moving in with him. Jade reasons that Colin simply needed a roommate and she said yes because she's too ashamed to ever return to Holden and Lily's. Luke tosses up the idea of living with Emma for a while until things quiet down. Jade stops him mid-sentence and orders him to either accept her decisions or join his father in scrutinizing her every move. Hurt, Luke tucks his tail and leaves. Later, Luke gazes through the hospital room and is shocked to see Holden sitting beside Kevin's side. Luke walks in and wonders aloud what Holden's doing there. After Holden leaves, Kevin soothes Luke's flaring temper and tells him he needs to forgive Holden for what he did by bringing Ms. Taylor to town. He was simply trying to look out for Lily, however wrong it might have been. Alison enters through the door of Al's and takes a seat. She's startled when she looks in the booth across from her and finds Will softly crying alone. She approaches and asks her old friend what's wrong. Will sits up straight and wipes the tears from his face before angrily mumbling that he's lost everything. He's lost Gwen and Hallie and it's all because of Iris. Will explains that he tried showing his wife that her mother can't be trusted and in the process, he showed her that her husband is the one that can't be trusted. Alison comforts him the best way she can do, relating her experience in trying to intervene in other's relationships. She recalls how she used to resent Hal for marrying Emily and tried everything in her power to keep them from hitching, but now that Hal's gone, she realizes that she stole precious moments her sister could have spent with him. Will thanks Alison and excuses himself. Aaron comes up behind her and sternly asks her what the hell she was thinking by getting Casey hired. Noah turns the corner as he walks towards the bookstore. Her hands loaded with books, Carrie violently crashes into Noah and sends everything flying. Noah quickly apologizes and reminds Carrie she should watch where she's going. A slight giggle slips from Carrie's mouth as she hastly fumbles for her books. Noah asks where she's headed to and Carrie reveals she hasn't talked to Carly since she returned from Iowa. Later, as Carrie turns the handle entering the door, Carly startles her by meeting her at the front door. Concerned, Carly asks why her roommate failed to mention she quit WOAK and got hired on as an intern at B.R.O. Carrie shrugs that she didn't think it was that important and quickly changes the subject. Carly's a tad perplexed as to why Carrie doesn't want to talk. Later, as Carrie goes out for a walk, Carly's unsettling curiousity finally gets to her. Carly cracks open the desk drawer, pulling out the file she and Jack obtained from the storage shed and sits down on the couch to quickly thumb through it before Carrie returns. She's soon jolted from her seat, however, when Barbara arrives looking for Carrie. Slightly sighing as she sits down on a nearby bench, Katie wonders aloud to Brad when Margo's going to ever get done scouting for people who've seen Michael recently. Brad guesses that as soon as Margo gets a lead worth following, she'll let them know. Katie slouches and huffs that waiting kills her. Just then, Lyla arrives and tells Brad and Katie that Margo called her over to give them a ride home. Furious, Katie asserts that she's not going home until they find Michael. Lyla grabs Katie by the arm and snaps for her to pull it together. Michael is a grown man, she shouts. He can take care of himself. Meanwhile, a yellow taxi cab pulls up to a house. Doris gets out and groaning and grimacing, pulls Michael from the cab. The camera reveals that he is now tied and heavily sedated. As Michael gives Michael a final shove on to the couch, she chuckles that he's all hers now.
  21. Fearing for her life, Carrie uses a paperweight to get Paul off of her. While her blow fails to incapacitate him, Paul struggles to maintain his balance and brushes his throbbing scalp. Tears flow from her face as Carrie admits to being Darryl's daughter, but she's nothing like the old drunk bastard, and she never will be. As for James, she retorts, the only time she's seen him was at the grand opening for the cancer ward. Barbara comes in amongst the yelling as Paul accuses Carrie of having ulterior motives. Later, after Carrie has long tucked her tail and ran, Barbara blindly accuses Paul of having it out for "that poor girl". Vowing silently to keep James and Carrie's connection from his mother until he has more evidence, he simply tells her that he thought he saw Carrie snooping in Barbara's files and called her out on it. That's all that happened, he concludes, it was all just a big misunderstanding. Later, Barbara combs through her documents to esure nothing's been tampered with when she notices one particular document missing. Meanwhile, Paul returns to Fairwinds and as he details his encounter with Carrie, Rosanna soothes his throbbing head. In a moment of closeness, the two almost kiss but Rosanna coldly retracts. Paul guesses that she's not over how he trusted Meg's word over her own and Rosanna gives a painful glare. Rosanna admits that she's grateful for all his help in trying to find Cabot, but she can never forgive him for what he put her through. He toyed with her emotions and then took his lying, conniving fiancee's word over hers. Paul tries to apologize, but Rosanna makes up a last minute excuse of a business meeting and reminds Paul to let himself out. Katie checks her watch again and Brad guesses that her unle's flight was delayed. Katie surmises that although she hasn't known her uncle too long, she does know he's very punctual and the fact that he's late causes her worry. Brad offers to call the airline to prove to Katie there's nothing to worry about. While Brad makes the call, Katie tries Michael's phone once more. "It's just not like him to make a sudden change in plans and not let someone know", she tiredly whines. Brad tries to calm her fears, but tells her that the airline said he got off the plane as scheduled. With no other choice, Katie calls Margo and offers to meet her at WOAK since Margo's there talking with Kim. Once there, Katie explains to her sister that Michael's missing. Margo halts any further mention of the name and reminds Katie that Lyla wants them both to steer clear of the trouble-prone doctor. In a huff, Katie demands that if Margo's not going to do anything, she will do it herself. Katie storms out while Brad stays behind and hurriedly tells Margo she knows Katie can't conduct a full-on search like her police office sister. She might have the energy, he asserts, but she doesn't have the connections or the power. With that, Margo begrudgingly follows them both out. As Kim embraces Carly, joyous over her safe return, Carly takes notice that the single desk once occupied by Carrie has vanished from Carly's office. Kim remarks that Carrie went to work for Barbara and she accepted Carrie's resignation only because Barbara said she saw potential in the girl. Noting how odd it is that her roommate would quit WOAK without at least telling her, Carly decides that she must have opted not to tell her for fear it might unsettle the joyous relief of being home after a chaotic last week. Later, Paul arrives at WOAK and starts probing Carly to see if she knows any more than what the file says about Carrie. Carly, annoyed, hisses at Paul to leave her alone. Their search failed. If Carrie wanted them to know anything about herself, she would tell them. If not, she might have good reason that she buried her past and started a new future. After Paul leaves, Carly reflects back on her night of steamy lovemaking with Jack and quivers at the thought of his touch. Irritated with herself, she mumbles under her breath how she wishes sometimes that she could do like Carrie did and just start all over with a new life.
  22. Gwen stared at the note in disbelief. The more she tried to dismiss the note, the more she remembered Will's anger when Iris returned to town and his relentless attitude that she would never change. Broken-hearted, she hurried to pack overnight bags for her and Hallie before Will returned. As she packed, Gwen took out her cell and called Iris. Meanwhile, at Java, Will encountered his mother and shared his relief that their plot can't be exposed. His marriage would be over if Gwen ever found out he tried to sabotage her mother's "new beginning". Raising an eyebrow, Barbara asked if her son truly believed that Iris has reformed. "No," he quickly answered, shaking his head. Eventually Iris will trip herself up, and his wife will be hurt again, he concluded. As Rosanna and Paul took Emma home and vowed to bring the kids back later, Jack drove Carly back to the Milltown house. Turning to grab her arm before she made a shot for the door, he asked if she was going to continue acting like nothing happened. Carly justified that they simply turned to one another in a time where their future was unknown, but now that they're safe and back in Oakdale, nothing has changed. Pulling her close, he gasped into her ear that everything could change.....if she would forgive him. In spite of the fact he doesn't deserve it. Jack owned up to being arrogant, rude, and judgmental. He can't change the past, he said, but he can apologize for all the hurt he's caused. All he wants is the chance to prove himself. Speechless, Carly's eyes shimmered with unshed tears. Jack released her, and she scurried upstairs without answering him. After Rosanna and Paul were roped into a last minute dinner invitation from little Sage, Rosanna noticed the tense air between Jack and Carly. After the meal was over, she pulled Carly into the kitchen and questioned her sister about it. Something happened between them while they were trapped, Rosanna surmised. Carly tried to change the subject, but it only confirmed Rosanna's suspicions. Carly admitted that Jack wants another chance, but fears he'll change his mind once the drama of the moment fades away. After Paul and Rosanna left, Carly took the kids up to bed. When she returned downstairs to lock up, Jack was still there, asleep on the couch. Gently, she covered him with a blanket and brushed her lips against his cheek before heading back upstairs. Before Gwen can scoop up Hallie and head out to her running car armed with luggage and a diaper bag, Will met her at the door and told her Barbara was right behind him, anxious to spend some time with her granddaughter. Gwen asked him to call his mother and ask her to visit another night. Perplexed, Will asked why and noticed her car running. Before she could answer, Barbara entered and gushed over Hallie as she fretted. Gwen snapped and emotionally implored Barbara to visit another time. Will politely scurried his mother out the door, unsure as to what Gwen's problem was. Teary eyed, Gwen confronted Will with the note she had found in the laundry, and asked him to explain. Calmly, Will looked it over and wondered if it meant anything--it's a random scrap of paper. Gwen pointed out that the torn paper reads "disabled cameras". Will tried to deny it, but Gwen cut him off. Just then, Iris emerged from the kitchen and added that she knew something was going on when she found Will's number in Stan's old jeans so she called the manager of Metro and he informed her that the camera was never disabled the night of the robbery. Gwen explained that she called Iris over the minute she found the note. Will furiously shouted, saying they're just ambushing him based on a heap of wild guesses and lies. Gwen was quick to point out that the only lies in all of this are the ones that Will has told. Mellow, Iris informed Will that she asked the manager (her old friend from grade school) to destroy the tape of he and Stan walking through Metro and walking to the safe during their "test run". Before he could ask why she did such a thing, Iris smirked and told her wayward son-in-law that losing his wife and baby girl will be punishment enough. As Gwen stormed out and Iris followed with Hallie in tow, Barbara tried to console her son. Michael ignored Susan's many attempts to confront him and finally gave in when she confrotned him in the nurse's lounge. Alone, Michael informed Susan that it's best if she move on because he's re-thought his decision and he's re-applying for the position in Bakersfield. Stunned, Susan took her leave and later cried to Emily. She tried to be a comfort to her mother, but didn't hesitate in voicing her discomfort in watching Michael gush over her mother. Later, Michael grimaced as he re-read the troubling letter and immediately threw it in the trash. Newlyweds Brad and Katie arrived fresh from their honeymoon and agreed to help Michael housesit while he took a trip to Bakersfield for a job interview. Spilling the trash during their attempt at ballrom dancing, Brad and Katie worked to clean up the big mess, but a carefully folded envelope caught Katie's eyes. Never one to shy away from prying, she concluded that it must be a love letter from Susan and quickly opened it. In the letter, Doris warned Michael to take a job somewhere else or she'll make sure Susan pays. Terrified, Katie scrambled to call Susan and inform her. Meanwhile, Michael sat on his flight back to Oakdale and daydreamed of reuniting with Susan but Doris coming in and killing Susan. As he got in the cab headed home, he told the driver his address and occupied his sight with the rushing greens of tress wooshing past. A pair of feminine eyes squinted in the rearview mirror, gazing at Michael in the back seat, as the driver cooed, "Certainly, my dear Michael". The next day, Carly skimmed over the stolen file. Immersed in thought, Jack startled her when he snuck up behind her and asked to have a look. Annoyed, Carly tossed the file at him and answered the door. Paul came in, wanting to find out if they learned anything more about Carrie. Jack admitted that searching through thousands of files was too big a task and they failed. Jack scrunched his forehead, perplexed, and questioned Paul why he's so interested. On top of Rosanna's concern, his mother has impulsively hired the young woman at BRO, he informed them. But he kept the info connecting James and Carrie to himself. Answering another knock at her door, Carly found Gwen weeping on her doorstep with Hallie. Carly instintively took charge, handing Hallie off to Jack while she talked to Gwen on the porch. Immediately aware that the baby needed a diaper change, Jack grabbed the diaper bag, leaving Paul alone in the living room. Curious, he paged through the file on the coffee table, and turned pale when he read the name of the patient, "Carolyn Dana Crawford". Rifling through it, he ripped out a couple of pages, then closed the file and stuffed them into his jacket pocket before making his hasty exit. Gwen tearfully informed Carly she left Will, and spent last night at the Wagon Wheel. Carly insisted she move out of that fleabag motel and stay in Milltown with her and the kids. Gwen promised to think about it and later, agreed. Bob updated Lily, Holden, Lucinda, and Luke with word on Kevin's condition. Luke continued to feel regret for the words he spewed at Kevin and feared he might never see Kevin again to apolgize. Bob informed Luke that he can sit in with Kevin. Meanwhile, Noah showed up at the hospital fresh from a business meeting. As he stared at Luke crying over a comatose Kevin, he realized he could never have that sort of dedication. Disappointed in himself, he informed Lucinda to keep it between them that he came by. As he raced out the hospital, Luke looked up and scurried outside. Breathless, he panted for Noah to stop. Noah whirled around and whined to Luke that they're just not meant to be. Luke accused him of being jealous of Kevin, but Noah retorted that he can never have such strong feelings for Luke as Kevin obviously does. They deserve to be together, he panted, and they don't need him in their way. Before Luke could cry out for Noah, he was gone. Retreating back inside, he glanced in the window to monitor Kevin. As Kevin's parents rushed in, Luke gave them space. However, when Luke went to tell Kevin goodbye before heading home, he ended up falling asleep on Kevin's chest. The next morning, he was delighted to be awakened by Kevin brushing his hair tenderly. Excitedly, he asked if this is a dream and Kevin smiled before shaking his head no. As Bob came in to run some tests, he revealed that everything is looking good for Kevin. In fact, it's almost a miracle that he's doing this well. There must be a reason Kevin survived, he concluded, as Kevin and Luke smiled at one another. Later, Jade ran into Luke and he confronted her as to where she's been. Jade replied that she's been rooming with a friend from work. Emotional, she revealed that she always thought Holden had it out for her, but bringing her adoptive mom to town to pur salt on open wounds was too much to bear. Luke quickly apologized for his father's actions and revealed that he hasn't been talking with Holden lately. Jade appealed to Luke and asked him to move in with her and her friend. Later, Luke was put off when he learned that Jade's new roomate was a male. As Dusty scurried to get the new club open in time for a back to school bash, Aaron and Alison found themselves working closer than ever. Alison gushed about how nostalgic this all feels...them working together at a nightclub with Dusty. Aaron replied that it's a good feeling and wishes they had kept themselves together long enough after leaving Oakdale to work things out. Later, Alison found Casey looking through job ads. Revealing that he can't get much work due to his criminal background, Casey asked if Alison knew anyone hiring. Taking initiative, Alison approached Dusty about hiring Casey. When he agreed to hire Casey, Alison begged Dusty not to tell Aaron. Later, Casey informed Margo and Tom of his new job but Margo feared working so closely with a couple like Alison and Aaron might make Casey feel like the third wheel and strengthen his feelings of abandonment from Sofie. Tom chuckled that he thinks Casey will be just fine. At BRO, Paul cornered Carrie in Barbara's office. Furious, he pinned her against the wall, and told her he knows exactly who she is...Carrie Crawford, his late sister Jennifer's half-sister. What he wants to know, he grumbled, is why she's hooked up with James, and what James wants from Barbara.
  23. When Michael got another job offer, he hesitated because of his feelings for Susan. He confided in Kim that even though Susan broke things off with him, he knows she's not serious. She just needs breathing room. Kim urged Michael to take the job because she privately feared Michael's absence from town would send Susan back into Bob's orbit. Bob saw Kim's diehard attitude to keep Michael at Memorial as a sign that she had finally buried the hatchet. When Nancy confronted her daughter in law about her ulterior motives, Kim denied everything. Lisa soon heard about all the commotion and confronted Kim. In a powerful scene, she told her friend that she needs counseling to discard the ill feelings she still shows towards Susan. Lisa informed Kim that if Bob had any feelings for Susan, he would have never returned to Kim after his one night stand with Susan. Realizing how devious she had truly become, Kim broke the news of her untruthfulness to Bob and promised to seek counseling. However, when Kim stalled after Bob asked her to promise to bury the hatchet with Susan, he saw it as an action that spoke louder than words and vowed to sleep on the couch until Kim can make such a promise. After Michael broke the news of his job offer to Susan, she urged him to do what's best for him. Hurt by Susan's rejection, Michael vowed to keep trying and showed himself at Susan's doorstep. When she didn't answer, he yelled through the window that he finally gave his answer to the hospital seeking him as their new specialist...and he told them no because he doesn't want to leave Susan. Touched by his words, she opened the door to him and the two made passionate love on the couch. Afterward, Susan realized what she had done and immediately tried to hurry him out. Later, Michael got a mysterious letter in the mail that set him on edge. Lucinda sought out Noah to start a new account with a teen-friendly corporation, hoping to diversify her company's interests. Knowing it would mean less time for himself and Luke, he refused the offer but eventually accepted when Lucinda suggested this job might help Luke to see that Noah's serious about taking things slow. When Lily broke the news to Luke, he saw it as the final sign of the end of him and Noah. Hurt, Luke looked to Kevin for comfort. Kevin, still reeling from overhearing that Noah and Luke were reunited, blasted Luke for leading him on. "Pretty funny that all those years you accused me of playing mind games. And then when I finally express my feelings for you," Kevin hissed, "you turn around and play mind games with ME!!" Holden saw the boys fighting and suggested Luke speak with Lucinda. Lucinda apolgized to Luke for the misunderstanding and sighed that she thought the job would be a good chance for Noah and Luke to take things slow. Luke blasted his grandmother for interfering and stormed off. Later, Kevin was rushed to the ER after a car accident left him in critical condition. The driver that hit Kevin told Bob that it looked like Kevin was crying and didn't see the red light. Overhearing, Luke realized that his argument with Kevin must have made him so overcome with tears that he crashed. On her first day at B.R.O., Carrie decided to act fast and look up the information that James had asked her to. Although he had originally set off to confront James, Paul had been sidetracked by a call from work. He soon found Carrie snooping in Barbara's files and angrily asked what the hell she was doing. Carrie apologized and came up with a lie to throw Paul off her track. Not thrown at all, Paul's suspicions grew even more when he recalled that James had pulled strings with Barbara to get hired. Not putting anything past his father, he decided to go home and sleep on it. However, a midnight visit from James startled Paul and Paul quickly raised a gun he had tucked below the bed. James cackled and told his son that he shouldn't do that; especially since he holds all the answers. Before Paul could ask his father what he meant, James vanished through the misty midnight air. Later in the week, a fellow intern tipped off Paul that Carrie hadn't exactly finished her snooping ways and was constantly making phone calls. During her lunch break, Paul saw Carrie accidentally left her phone behind. Not surprisngly, he found that her call history had been deleted. Defeated, he put the phone down but chuckled a little when the phone started vibrating. "James Calling", it read. His questions answered, Paul put the phone back down on Carrie's desk and walked away. Finding the windows barred, and unable to get reception on either of their cell phones, Jack and Carly realized how bad their situation was quickly. Jack tried to stay positive, but Carly told him not to bother sugar-coating the situation for her. "No one knows exactly where we are and the sweltering summer heat has made the room into a sauna," she growled. Jack promised her they'd be fine and the two set their bed down for the night on some dusty old cardboard. In the middle of the night, Carly woke up screaming. When Jack tried to comfort her, she sobbed and told him about her nightmare about the kids. Carly continued to ramble, remembering how Parker almost drowned looking for Jack after his accident on the bridge. Jack asked her to believe in him one more time, and vowed she'll see the kids again. No matter what it takes. His intensity left her speechless which made Jack question if that meant she no longer believes in him. Carly mumbled no, and the moment soon became charged between them. Jack leaned in and kissed her. Carly responded tentatively at first, but it quickly grew more passionate between them, and they made love. The next morning, a concerned Emma phoned Rosanna, wondering if she had heard from Carly or Jack. Rosanna assured her she hasn't, and agreed it's unusual that they haven't called the children last night or this morning. While Emma talked with Margo at the OPD, Rosanna put her private investigator on it, demanding hourly progress reports. She headed over to Carly's to see if there were any clues as to where they might have gone. All she found was the faxed copy of Carrie's personnel file she had sent from the office in Buffalo. Desperate for help, she called Paul and asked him to meet her at the Milltown house. When Paul arrived, he was upset to learn Rosanna's had suspicions about Carrie, too, but kept them to herself. Rosanna told him Jack fueled her concerns, since Carrie was living here with Carly and the kids. But now that Jack and Carly are missing, she concluded that Jack's investigation into Carrie's past must be the reason. Well, if there's a former cop running an investigation, there's a file, Paul surmised, and the two left to search Jack's room at the farm. After doubting Barbara's story, Iris set out to prove herself right and unearth Barbara's hand in the scheme that left Stan unable to move or talk. While searching through his clothes, she came across a number in a pair of old jeans. She quickly noticed it as Will's number and tucked it away, knowing something's not right. When Gwen came over, Iris hid the piece of paper with Will's number on it. Gwen gushed about how far she and Will have both come since they first met and saw this latest ordeal with James's return as yet another hurdle they'll overcome. Iris wept, knowing how hurt her daughter will be if she ever finds out about Will having ties with Stan. She quickly passed off her tears as joy and Gwen took her leave. Later, while Will went out, Gwen sorted through some boxes and found a crumpled note that (although smeared and torn) read "disable cameras". After their night of lovemaking, Carly woke first and was careful not to wake a still nude Jack. She caught her breath remembering the freedom and joy he made her feel the previous night, but convinced herself that the heat and claustraphobia had left them out of their heads and that's why they did what they did. Still searching through files, Carly came across one that sounded alot like Carrie, but tossed it aside when she realized the patient was too old and had died. With an eerie feeling, she set the file aside for the time being, vowing to return to it later. When Jack finally woke, he was disheartened to see Carly acting like nothing happened. Just as Paul predicted, there was a file on Carrie tucked away in Jack's desk at the farm. Still flustered, Emma reported that Margo can't officially file a report yet. Rosanna reassured her that she already has people looking for Jack and Carly. Paul read what little Jack has learned about Carrie, and noticed James's handiwork in shrouding the young woman's past in mystery, but kept it all to himself for the moment. After Emma left the room, he snooped in Jack's computer. Just as Paul found a map of Iowa, Rosanna's private investigator reported in. The last transaction on Jack's credit card was at a gas station off of I-80, 45 miles east of Des Moines. The two set off to find Jack and Carly. At their breaking point, Jack suggested they conserve the little water they have left and take a nap. Meanwhile, a mysterious woman phoned Paul and told him where to find Carly and Jack. Awakened by creeking metal and a heavy slamming sound, Jack and Carly stood attentive and prepared themselves for the worst. However, they were relieved to see an elated Rosanna, Paul, Emma, and Margo on the other side of the storage shed door. Jack asked Paul how they knew to look for them here and Rosanna revealed they got an anonymous tip. Relieved to be alive, Jack and Carly gathered their items. Just as they set off for the cars, Carly turned around and snatched the file she had set aside earlier before hurrying back to a waiting Rosanna. After hearing both sides of the story, Lily furiously urged Holden to make things right with Jade. Holden apologized to Jade for bringing up such a horrible memory, but Jade just turned a cold shoulder at Holden's attempt at forgiveness. Later, Lily confronted Blanche and demanded that she see the truth and come to her senses about Mr. Taylor. Blanche denied her husband had done any wrong and left town. Luke heard about Jade's blast from the past and scolded his father. "After all Mom's gone through, the one thing she wanted to keep for herself was her memories of Aunt Rose. Jade coming into town helped her heal. Jade helped her hold onto Aunt Rose and her memory. But now, you've tainted all those memories," he told his father. Later, Blanche arrived home and cryptically told her husband that she had no luck finding anything. Irritated, he demanded they keep trying. Aaron arrived back in Oakdale after seeing his father in rehab and looked for comfort from Emma. When Alison emerged, Emma took her leave and Alison apologized for comparing herself to him. Holding out her hand, she asked for a truce but Aaron's emotional state clouded his ability to see past all the hurt and he took off on his bike. Later, Emily and Alison decided that Dusty might be able to help. Dusty laughed and told the ladies he'd love to but he's too busy opening a new nightclub in town. With no other option, Alison tried to get through to Aaron once more. Seeing her genuity, Aaron accepted her apology and apologized for not seeing that she was trying to be there for him. As soon as they entered Java for a cup of coffee, the two were approached by Dusty to help manage the new nightclub. Later, Alison learned of her mother's reunion with Michael and surprisingly gave them her blessing. Emily, however, wasn't so open to the idea of her mom's new boyfriend.
  24. Aaron spoke with Holden about Caleb's possible return to Oakdale. Both were floored when Julie called to inform the father and son duo that Caleb had checked himself into rehab for depression. An emotional Aaron later lashed out when Alison made an analogy between her addiction problems and Caleb's problems. When she went to confide in Susan over at Memorial, Ali bumped into Casey who offered his shoulder. Susan warned her youngest daughter not to get involved with Casey, citing the emotional baggage he carries. Alison was irate and barked that Michael isn't any less of baggage than Casey is. Later, Michael took Susan out to a nice dinner at Mona Lisa. Seeing the strain her relationship with Michael was putting on her relationship with her children, she calmly broke things off with him. At the chapel in Vegas, Henry and Vienna served as "man of honor" and "best woman" respectively at Brad and Katie's wedding. While Margo and Lyla looked on, Brad and Katie said "I do!" and opted to postpone the honeymoon to see their friends off. After a tearful farewell, full of classic stories and a comical montage of Henry and Bubble's misadventures, Henry and Vienna bid them adieu and set off for Paris. Jack and Carly headed for the address in Des Moines that Carrie gave for "Dr. Baxter" on her medical forms. When they inquired about Dr. Baxter, they discovered he had died last winter. Quickly, Carly spun a lie of looking for a half-sister she never knew she had, whom Dr. Baxter delivered. The sympathetic receptionist gave her the address of Dr. Baxter's former secretary who might know what happened to his medical files. Carly repeated her performance to Ms. Masters, the retired secretary. Still sharp as a tack, Ms. Masters was skeptical there would be anything in the files to help them locate her "half-sister". Jack charmed her, however, and Ms. Masters gave them the address of the storage shed Dr. Baxter had on the edge of town. As Jack and Carly congratulated themselves outside, Ms. Masters placed a call. James answered, and the secretary told him that she carried out his instructions to the letter. Nancy learned that Kim had still not spoken with Bob, she urged Kim to do it...or she would. Taking it in stride, Kim lectured to Bob about his past misdeeds and confessed that she'll never give up the notion that for one night, Bob would have rather been with another woman rather than his wife. Bob apologized and promised she was the only one he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. His relationship with Susan, he defended, is nothing more than work-based. Still seeking answers to the Stan fiasco, Iris sought help from Margo. After questioning the guard that found Stan, she learned that he had previously been jailed and sought answers from the warden. The warden informed Margo that Stan was moved to solitary confinement by her! Margo denied doing anything of the sort and upon seeing the signature on the paper, contronted Barbara. Barbara denied any wrongdoing and proposed she call her lawyers if Margo has anything else to say. Sickened, Margo warned Barbara that if she finds out she had any wrongdoing in any of this, she'll throw the book at her. Meanwhile, Iris confided in Gwen that she thinks Barbara's behind it all. Facing James's wrath, Carrie sought out Barbara. She admitted that her first love has always been fashion and inquired about a job at BRO. After James made a call threatening to reveal Barbara's involvement with Stan, she accepted Carrie on as a part-time intern. Barbara later wondered aloud to Paul why James seemed so eager for Barbara to hire Carrie. Later, Carrie quit her job at WOAK and told Kim she was dealing with family issues. After bumping into Paul at the Lakeview, Kim told him one of her set designers recently quit and asked if he knew of suitable replacements. After he found out the set designer was Carrie, Paul went to his mother with the information and asked why she put up with James's threats. Curious as to James's motives, Paul set off to confront his father. Lily hosted a dinner at her house to celebrate Noah's birthday upon Luke's request. Luke reasoned that now was as good a time as any to try and work things out with Noah. After a night filled with drama, Noah and Luke eventually decided to give it another try. Both still hurt over the initial breakup, the two opted to take it slow and passed on a goodnight kiss. Later, Lucinda echoed Lily's enthusiasm about Noah and Luke's reunion. However, they neglected to see Kevin (on his way to talk to Luke about the kiss) at the window overhearing everything. Jack and Carly fiound the storage unit on the edge of town. Once he picked the lock, they were greeted by dozens of dusty boxes labeled "patient files". After hours of combing through the dusty heap of files, Carly sighed that tons of the files fit Carrie's general profile. Realizing the late hour, Carly suggested taking some of the files and finding a motel room for the night. Jack agreed, and started bringing boxes to take with them. Carly tried to raise the door, but couldn't. Impatiently, Jack grabbed the handle and threw his muscle into the task. Still nothing. Only then did they realize that they weren't just stuck...they've been locked inside. Ms. Taylor arrived in town and thanked Holden for inviting her. When asked what prompted the fight between Jade and Mr. Taylor, Holden was less than thrilled to see that she seemed to know nothing. Jade was frustrated and emotional when Ms. Taylor finally came face to face with her. After Holden left, Ms. Blanche Taylor told Jade to stay far far away. Jade apologized for what she did but was stopped mid-sentence by Ms. Taylor's swift slap across the cheek. Holden saw the whole thing and demanded an explanation. Blance revealed that Jade got involved in the party scene and gambled away thousands of the couple's life savings. When confronted, Jade cried wolf and accused Mr. Taylor of molesting her since she was a child. Holden asked Jade if it was true and with tears in her eyes, she hissed that she warned Holden to leave it be. And now she'll never forgive him.
  25. After the 4th of July celebration, Lisa urged Kim to seek counseling. The bitterness she still feels over Bob's affair isn't healthy. Kim refused, claiming everything is fine as long as Bob trusts her. Lisa urged her friend to let sleeping dogs lie. Many years have passed since Bob and Susan's one night stand and she needs to let it go before it rots her away on the inside. Lisa comments that Bob has showed her time and time again that his affair was a mistake and yet Kim still seems to hold a grudge against them both. Lisa found it all to be quite disturbing, and sought Nancy's advice. Nancy was shocked at the news, and tried talking to Kim herself. When Kim continued to excuse her own behavior, Nancy urged her to talk honestly with Bob for the sake of their marriage. Casey found Alison and thanked her for saving his life after the concert. She was shocked when Casey tried to kiss her, and Aaron became irate when Alison told him of Casey's advances. A furious Aaron confronted Casey, who told Aaron that he was only showing his gratitude and Alison took the attempted kiss out of context. Margo was appalled to learn that Gabe sent pictures of himself and Sofie to Casey. She hid the photos from Casey and told Tom how sickening it was that Gabe finds this all comical. Matchmaker Jade tried to push Luke and Kevin together. Luke continued to be shocked at their impulsive kiss, but found himself replaying it over in his mind. The next time they met, Luke blew off Kevin's apology, accusing him of playing sick mind games. Before Kevin could work up the courage to come out to him, Luke stormed off. Later, Jade broke the news to Luke, along with her belief Kevin's in love with him. After a heart to heart with Lucinda, Luke realized he still has feelings for Noah, in spite of Noah's one night stand with Carrie. Noah urged Carrie to file a report with the police after being attacked. Carrie accused him of sticking his nose in her life, but Noah insisted he was only trying to make up for his irresponsible jerkdom while she was pregnant. Carrie agreed to file a report to shut him up, but didn't. Noah later overheard Jack and Carly arguing about Carrie and the trouble she could bring to Carly's doorstep if her "stalker" suddenly showed up while the kids were home. Alarmed, Noah went to Jack alone and revealed that Carrie was nearly attacked on the 4th of July. Jack used his pull at the OPD to see if Carrie had filed a report. Both Jack and Noah were stunned to realize she hadn't. Jack confronted Carly with news of Carrie's latest lie. Carly insisted that Jack was being suspicious to the point of paranoia. Jack blasted Carly for sticking her head in the sand because she sees a similarity to the girl she used to be. He then informed her that "Carrie Whittington" never existed until three years ago, and that's a damn good reason to be "paranoid". Shaken, Carly admitted she knew Rosanna had doubts about Carrie as well, and both suddenly recalled that Carrie once worked as an intern at Cabot Motors in Buffalo. After phoning Rosanna, she had someone fax over "Carrie White"s personnel file. None of the personal information listed could be verified. Carly commented that Carrie's last name could have been changed in marriage, but Jack was skeptical. On a hunch, Jack checked her medical history, and found a doctor from Des Moines, Iowa listed. Gwen continued to admire Iris' turnaround, while Will worried about being exposed by Stan. He was given a reprieve when Iris received a call about Stan. Iris was listed as Stab's family and the doctor informed her Stan had slipped into a catatonic state the previous night. Concerned about Stan's condition, Iris became curious when Will tried to convince her not to visit him. She went anyway, and a nurse at the jail informed her that Stan was being moved to a private facility. Iris' suspicions grew when she learned Stan was suddenly moved to solitary confinement shortly before the guard found him on the floor. When Iris mentioned it to Gwen and Will, Will's reaction seemed especially guilt-ridden to his mother-in-law. Her suspicions grew tremendously when Will became especially inquisitive about Stan's condition. Will called his mother and she assured him that she had the problem taken care of and all evidence destroyed. Facing losing her best friends, Katie urged Brad to elope so Henry and Vienna could be part of the ceremony. Lyla hated the idea, and urged Katie not to be so reckless. After her previous large wedding fiascos, Katie stuck with her decision and suggested a Vegas wedding. While in Canada, Rosanna and Paul searched for information about Cabot's whereabouts. Unable to find anything, Rosanna almost gave up but soon came into contact with a woman claiming to be a former housekeeper for Cabot's deceased adoptive parents. She told Rosanna and Paul that he was doing fine, and some close friends of his parents had been named guardians. Relieved, Rosanna agreed not to see him for his own safety. After saying goodbye, the woman made a phone call and reported that Ms. Cabot was returning to the U.S. Susan and Michael decided to keep their burgeoning relationship a secret. Dusty spied them in a liplock, and told Emily that her mother had a new boyfriend. Emily blasted her mother for getting involved with a serial cheater with a psycho ex-wife. Alison walked in on the fight and begged them to stop bickering. After the explosive dramatics, Emily packed her bags and Dusty invited her to move in with him. Alison found out and warned Dusty not to lead Emily on by inviting her to move in. Holden, still concerned about Jade's reappearance, sought Luke's help. Luke tried to find out what happened between Jade and the Taylors, to no avail. Jade later told Lily she felt that Holden was behind Luke's prying questions. Lily scolded him for using their son to do his dirty work, and pressured him to leave Jade alone. Luke apologized to his father for being too obvious with Jade, and Holden vowed to find out another way. Later, Jade came face to face with Holden and promised him that if she brings up her past, she'll never forgive him. Willing to take the risk, Holden invited Mrs. Taylor to Oakdale in an effort to find out what Jade's keeping from him.
