Rachel is on the phone in her office looking on her computer when Amanda walks in.

Rachel: Oh my God.

Amanda: Mom what's wrong?

Rachel: The buyouts went through. We are in big big trouble.

REGINALD'S SUITE

Reginald sips on brandy, and Iris hangs up her cell phone.

Iris: It's done.

Reginald: So the buyouts went through?

Iris: Yes sir. I just checked all my accounts, and the money is there. You know what I feel like celebrating. Let's propose a toast.

Reginald: To what?

Iris: My daddy's company is on the fast track to being mine.

Meanwhile outside the door, Allen gets ready to knock on the door, but all he can think about his kiss and sex with Amanda, and knocks on the door. Reginald answers and Allen walks in.

Reginald: Allen what are you doing here?

Allen: You gotta call it off.

Reginald: If you're talking about our plan, well...

Iris: That train has long left the station.

Reginald: Interesting though...why the sudden change of heart?

Iris: You know what, I'm gonna give you two some privacy.

Reginald: Allen you have done so well. Our plan is working.

Allen: I don't want to be part of this anymore. I want out.

Reginald: Well that's just not possible.

Cass gives Lindsay a bottled water.

Cass: So when did you get in?

Lindsay: Oh a few days.

Cass: So after a few days you decided to come see your uncle?

Lindsay: It's the first chance I had. Come on.

Cass: Oh ok I'll let you pass this time.

Lindsay: I heard Charlie was back.

Cass: Yep your cousin's back in town.

Lindsay: How's she doing?

Cass: She's living with me, and working at Tops.

Lindsay: You know I'm working at the hospital doing physical therapy.

Cass: That's great.

Lindsay: I'm Greg Hudson's physical therapist.

Cass: Oh.

Lindsay: You didn't sound too enthused about it.

Cass: He was driving the car that struck and killed Michele McKinnon. Her memorial's tomorrow.

Lindsay: Oh my God. Wow.

Cass: Why don't you...come with Charlie and me?

Lindsay: Wow. I mean nobody knows me. I don't...

Cass: You must be working...

Lindsay: No I'm off tomorrow.

Cass: At least you get to know some folks in town.

Lindsay: I would probably do that at a social gathering, not a memorial.

Cass: I'm just lookin' out for you. Your mother would kill me if I didn't.

Lindsay: I don't care what she thinks.

Cass: How is Stacey?

Lindsay: I'm sure she's doing just fine.

Rachel: The buyouts were paid.

Amanda: And from the look on your face, we took a major hit.

Rachel: And I have no idea how we're going to recover the losses.

Amanda: We have before, and we will again.

Rachel: I don't know about this one Amanda. I've let your father down.

Amanda: Mom don't say that.

Rachel: It's true. This company can't survive the way it's going. Mac built this company from the ground up, and I can't keep it running. We might to consider...

Amanda: You can't mean...

Rachel: Cory Publishing may have to go up for sale.

Reginald: Have you developed a soft spot for Rachel?

Allen: Absolutely not. She's a controlling, overbearing bitch.

Reginald: Oh...so if it's not Rachel it's...Amanda. Don't tell me you've....

Allen: Can you call this thing off please?

Reginald: I had a feeling you would get unfocused.

Allen: Amanda's a good woman. She doesn't deserve to be hurt by this.

Reginald: I apologize, but collateral damage is a necessary evil. I strongly suggest you refocus...if you ever want to see your mother again.

Allen: My mother's getting better.

Reginald: You know what I can do, and as I said, you'd better focus on the goal, and turn off your feelings for Amanda.
