Really good movie, and once again, Cate Blanchett elevates mediocre material.  Kyle Chandler was great too.  The movie didn't go the usual predictable route and it wasn't about a man punishing his wife for being gay.  He was doing everything in his power to get her back.  Not the cliche of discovering she was gay and finding a lover.  She was gay during the entire marriage and tried to conform.  

 

The Oscar is going to go to either Cate or Alicia Vikander (The Danish Girl).  I just love Cate Blanchett.  There's nothing she can't do!
