Was BJ's Heart Transplant the saddest story ever told?

GH under Labine was some of the best relationship and emotional drama ever produced on daytime television. Some might have accused the show of being too dark during this time, but the heavy stories all served a purpose, had rippled effects throughout the show's canvas, and were done in a very organic and not too preachy way. Labine gave GH a heart, something the show sadly no longer has.

And just think, whenever the heartless bastards that write GH now want to tug at the heartstrings and show an emotional side to one of the current characters, they have Sonny and Robin talk about Stone, or they have Maxie share feelings about having BJ's heart. Stone's memory is even present on Night Shift with Jagger's son being Stone's namesake. Stone's memory will forever be in the forefront of the longtime Robin fans, because of her love for him and the HIV status that she will struggle with for the rest of her life. Those storylines were life-changing for many characters that are on the show now, and are CONSTANTLY referenced when they want to evoke emotion from the audience.
