  1. Ha, watch little Hayden look down at her mark and then tap C.J. to say his line.
  2. My dog shot up when Lulu started singing. That is pretty darn cute and I love the way she just goes right on back to sleep with a cat's head up her butt.
  3. And remember how she used to call Tea "tea" like the drink? I always wondered if Kristen made that innocent mistake once and it ended up getting written in.
  4. I always thought she was such an ethnic-looking kid. She had a multi-ethnic skin tone her brother didn't have. She really was adorable.
  5. I don't think RS is partiularly good at soft and pink moments like when Dorian first discovered *Agatha* was alive. There was something very vulnerable and almost sweet the way Elaine played the shock and fear. RS is very steely in those kinds of moments. She always contends that Dorian is too afraid to be vulnerable as she may unravel like her sisters and she even talked about this on the hotline when she'd heard than EP "cried a lot" as Dorian. Did she really cry all that much?
  6. Even I was surprised when Dorian busted out the spy camera. The show feels so much more sophisticated and adult. The zany elements are better balanced than now. And you gotta love that early '90s primetime sax. From what I gather it seems like EP had really found her Dorian when she was let go. "Hell! I was gonna play a tape!" "Will you turn that damn music of!?"
  7. The Stevie Wonder of Llanview. Stevie's sung at everybody's funeral. Zarf still takes the cake.
  8. "ABC did much more than jump-start its 24-year-old junk heap." Wow. That was unkind. And uncharacteristically so.
  9. Okay what he said was terrible but damn if Phil Carey didn't knock that [!@#$%^&*] outta the PARK!
  10. I had forgotten the gumbo thing! I think it was your Loozianna ass who came for me on that one.
  11. In that Soap Opera Book of lists, some soap photog says this about Robin Strasser in his list of most beautiful soap stars. I am so glad Erica didn't have another kid and yet I wish we would have seen more of her and her kids while they were growing up. Of course Kendall came on the scene grown but Travis getting custody of Bianca robbed us a bit.
  12. My grandma used to say if I was ever on AMC I could have played Mark Dalton's son. I hope I still have it on tape somewhere but Erica in that damn jacket are in my all-time favorite ABC Daytime promo they used to air in primetime. It was very simple. Just a shot of Erica, then Viki, then a two-shot of Luke&Laura that was obviously their opening credits shot before it got colorized, with a soft and slow piano version of ABC's tune playing underneath. They later replaced it with more upbeat music which wasn't nearly as effective.
  13. That would have really sucked as OLTL was the one I was looking forward to the most! Does anyone have Robin Strasser co-hosting on The View? I missed it and wondered how she did.
  14. I thought the same thing re: the dialogue. For some reason I have a hard time imagining NP yelling. I feel like she would have delivered that in a soft and slinky way. Man cannot live on one Daytime to Remember episode of NP's Dorian alone. When that ep aired I was praying we'd get some NP Dorian and I was over the moon when she walked up behind Pat.
  15. That was a lot of fun to read and imagine playing out. I never realized that Dorian made that angry confession.
  16. I'll never forget watching this episode with my mom and my brother's best friend who lived with us. That was great soap opera! When Kendall wheeled Richard in, Fra Heflin gave a particularly uninspired line reading of, "Good heavens!" which my brother's friend had a lot of fun with. My mom was a fashionista/diva in her own right and that red suit with the persian lamb trim and frog closures that Erica is wearing was very big that season. AW's Rachel wore it too: Rachel also had it in black and Susan wore the black one on Oprah for the 25th anniversary show. OLTL's Blair had a bootleg version of the red.[/useless trivia]
  17. (one each for your last two posts)
  18. It added an almost surreal quality to her character. It really complimented the pretentious/dithering/drunk thing she had going. Oh, and while I've got you on the phone, I found your post at the beginning of this thread incredibly touching. The power of the soap opera when at its best. And here's to our AMC-watching mothers! :clink!:
  19. I agree and I like how he OCD tags every clip with a character run-down. I would also have to give a very special shoutout to VickRobCal for his work with OLTL clips.
  20. I didn't realize Marco was still making appearances by the time Sonny was on. I never caught any of his stuff on GH, though I do remember a pic of him with Tracy and baby Dillon in a magazine.
  21. I'm sure you all have seen the John Stossel Joan Collins/Susan Lucci 20/20 piece on YouTube, and I wish somebody would post the unedited version with Susan's portions.
  22. Powder room! Classic. And to see Erica's bitchiness wasted on girls a third her age. When people talk about "When All My Children was All My Children" this is what they mean.
  23. That's a great pic. Such love for those ladies.
  24. And do his eyes constantly dart over to look at his card while talking?
