  1. Even video would probably be CGI-ed. He's dead or close to it. There's no way he'd allow for all this speculation if he wasn't.
  2. In order to believe Reade you have to accept 1.) Barack Obama's vetting team missed it and 2.) The GOP hate machine with its sole focus of keeping Obama out of office also missed it. You have to think that this was floating around out there and that no one from Fox News to Mitch McConnell himself ever caught even the slightest whiff of this. You have to believe that even in 2012 when Obama was running for re-election after having passed the ACA not one whisper of this got passed to anybody on the right. Because here's the thing, this wouldn't be about Joe Biden being a sex pest it would have been about Barack Obama's poor judgment. In order to believe Reade you have to literally ignore the racist psychosis Obama unleashed in the GOP which has become their defining principle.
  3. I expect one member of The Squad to lose their job this year. Pressley's safe but the other three have vulnerabilities. If I had to choose the weakest I'd say it's Tlaib.
  4. Here's a sample of Joyce Beatty taking on her Justice Dem opponent... It's obvious that the gloves have come off. We aren't playing nice with the "revolution" anymore.
  5. Pay attention to how N. Korea handles this. Republicans will do the same thing when Trump finally becomes incapacitated. We'll see more of the kids and Pence somebody will take over his Twitter and send out wildly offensive and crazy tweets meant to inflame and distract.
  6. Ohio has always been a swing state. It went to Donald after Obama but it could easily swing back.
  7. Look who can finally get off the sidelines now.
  8. It's been amazing to watch Trump all but campaign outright for Bernie to be the nominee while simultaneously claiming the Democratic party is full of socialists while at the same time Bernie's cult has been claiming that Bernie could beat Trump. It's just lunacy between the right and left fringes.
  9. I didn't vote for the guy and don't really like him but Gov. Mike DeWine has handled this situation very well. He's relied on the science, has been straightforward, made some tough decisions and has stayed away from political grandstanding. My heart breaks for the people in states like Florida or Georgia who are being led by Trump puppets willing to kill their own constituents just to keep the MAGA fiction going. WaPo has a nice article about how DeWine handled this: https://www.washingtonpost.com/national/health-science/did-ohio-get-it-right-early-intervention-preparation-for-pandemic-may-pay-off/2020/04/09/7570bfea-7a4f-11ea-9bee-c5bf9d2e3288_story.html
  10. The spike we're going to see in rural America is going to be ugly. I'm here in Ohio but this state is chock full of good hospitals from the Cleveland Clinic on down. I live ten minutes from a Level 1 trauma center. Rural America has closed 125 rural hospitals in the last ten years and the ones that are open are starved for money because they can't do elective procedures so they aren't generating needed income. My prediction is that a lot of people are going to pack into churches on Easter and 2-3 weeks later the funerals will begin.
  11. That's why I'm almost suspicious of the recommendation that everyone wear a mask. I'm sure we'll find that some people made moves in the stock market that worked out well for them once the new guidance was announced. I forgot about them. I guess I'll have to deal with the price gougers.
  12. I can't find a mask or gloves anywhere. I tried to buy through Amazon and the delivery date is mid-May.
  13. American progressivism is pretty much dead and Bernie Sanders killed it by hijacking it into a personality cult. Progressives haven't figured it out yet but they've lost a whole lot of people who might have supported their candidates because they chose to hand black and brown voters over to Trump. Meanwhile any progressive policy is dead in the water because McConnell has been able to stack the judiciary. The people who sat home and/or spite will be living with this judiciary malfeasance for the rest of their lives.
  14. This is probably why the Queen made a public address. Johnson is dying and she wanted to get in front of it. Which makes me wonder: has there been any update on Rand Paul? I figure if he were healthy he'd be blowing his own horn about his excellent medical care.
  15. NaturalCauses2020 is still rolling along.
  16. All this talk about enthusiasm is ridiculous. It's another way people have changed the discussion in order to make Bernie seems more important than he is. "Enthusiastic" votes don't count more than others. People look at the cults of Bernie and Trump and decide that's what enthusiasm looks like (instead of what it really is: radicalization) but they completely ignored how many people enthusiastically voted for Hillary. Looking at "enthusiasm" is just another way the press chooses to double down on false narratives instead of paying attention the the real base of the party and how we enthusiastically rejected Bernie.
  17. I think part of the problem with livestreams is just that so many people are on the internet right now. The software my company uses for remote conferencing just kept freezing and crashing during meetings (which kept them blessedly short.) I got a text from the Biden campaign asking for suggestions on ways to connect with voters online so I'm sure that the Berners infantile hashtag has nothing to do with it. One of Biden's strengths is retail politics. He excels at one-on-one communication with voters. He's okay with speeches and rallies but where he really shines is working a rope line where he can talk to people and look them in the eye. The current circumstances throw a wrench into that.
  18. I doubt this is what motivated him. He's pivoting to the general and trying to show how his administration would handle this crisis. The Berners are pretty much an afterthought now.
  19. It was me. But I started with "just wait until South Carolina when black voters get to weigh in." I won't lie though. I got a little nervous after Sanders win in Nevada.
  20. Compare with what's happening in Illinois.
  21. Thanks. Fortunately I voted early so this is all moot for me. I know a lot of people are complaining about how DeWine handled this but I'm just grateful my mom won't be trying to make her way through her polling place.
  22. These elections aren't just about the Dem primary. There are local issues on the ballot like judges and tax levies. Red states are postponing primaries to keep people from the polls. If they were acting in good faith they would simply mail a ballot to everyone on the rolls.
  23. This is going to be a shitshow.
  24. So even Princess Sparkle Pony sees that it's over. Of course it doesn't stop her from going on Fox News and spreading conspiracy theories. Seriously. I loathe this creature.
  25. Trump has been exposed to the virus now three times: CPAC, Air Force One, and now Mar-a-Lago. Natural Causes 2020 is looking like a better bet all the time.
