  1. For MissLlanviewPa- Like I said, I have his whole last month, but I thought I'd go ahead and put up his last day <iframe width="480" height="360" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/h3hVFuNObv0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> <iframe width="480" height="360" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/ZvBUo03EvqQ" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
  2. All of those have been around a while, and so has Cherel (although I think she left for a bit and then came back). I didn't know that Letti had left I haven't seen it in a few years (we don't get it in Australia) but I always liked Harriet, Cherel, Letti, Dusty, Joey, and Kyle (the last three have been long gone so you might not be as familiar with them as you probably are the other three). It's funny that you say Generations reminds you of As the World Turns because my grandmother looooves Generations (and Eastenders) and loved As The World Turns and Another World, but doesn't like Isidingo or DAYS and didn't like Egoli- she says she likes the "human" aspect of Generations and ATWT as opposed to the "campy and ridiculousness" of something like DAYS. I actually found a tape the other day that had a bunch of Isidingo, Generations, and Egoli on it. I'll try to get that up on youtube soon.
  3. Are the episodes that air on The Africa Channel up to date or are they behind? The Africa Channel also airs Generations too- that's very cool. I used to watch the show all the time when I lived South Africa and then when I would have to go back to visit my relatives. I didn't realise that they'd retained so much of the original/older cast over the years.
  4. Aw, I loved Max and Luna back the day, but I agree- if she hadn't died, I don't know how much longer they would have lasted as a couple (but then again, if they'd broken up, I have no idea who was around then that they would have been paired off with if they weren't together). I do think that Max loved both of them very deeply, but in different ways. I wonder why they never did anything with their twins. I always thought it would be Frankie that hooked up with Starr and Leslie would have made sense in the sort of "good girl" teen role.
  5. Although I haven't been a devoted viewer of AMC or OLTL in a long time, I'll miss both of them. Like so many have said, soaps provided an escape for me as a child. I grew up in an extremely dysfunctional and emotionally distant family with parents that fought constantly and my father's job forcing us to up and move all over the world. My mother died quite suddenly when I was younger, my older sister left to go to university, my older brother shut out the world, and my father quickly married my perpetually unhappy stepmother and had a few more kids leaving me feeling very much alone, neglected, and abandoned (which was very easy when you're a blonde awkward Australian girl who speaks English going to school in Italy with a bunch of beautiful Italian kids running around speaking Italian). At that time, Santa Barbara, General Hospital, All My Children, Days of Our Lives, Y&R, and B&B were all running overseas and it was comforting to know that in places all over the world I could find American soaps on some channel- even if they were years behind- and have a sense of familiarity with the people and places on these shows that I was sorely lacking in my real life. As a child, I knew no one else who's mother had died and my father's way of dealing with it was by pushing aside our grief and just never speaking about it again; watching people be able to grieve and process things like deaths on soaps told me that it was okay to grieve and be upset. Like I said, I haven't watched AMC or OLTL regularly in a while, but I will never forget the comfort characters like Adam, Brooke, Phoebe, Erica, Palmer, Mona, Tad, Dixie, Skye, and Hayley on AMC and Viki, Dorian, Cassie, Asa, Bo, Clint, Max, Gabrielle, and Tina provided to a sad lonely girl once upon a time. Thanks for the memories.
  6. I wasn't aware that that was the case with The City clips featuring Tracy- I removed them from YouTube as soon as I saw this posted. Wish I had known sooner, but alas, now that I do, I've removed them. Hope you all are doing well.
  7. I've been watching DAYS everyday lately- mostly because there's never anything else on soap wise and I a not watching AMC- and I'm really enjoying it. We're months behind you guys (I think we're in 2008 or early 2009- John and Marlena and Steve and Kayla all just left) though, which is better than it use to be- when I was a kid, Australia was like 5 years behind the US- in fact, before I even knew there was Luke and Laura, I knew GF as Diana on DAYS. We use to get GH too, but it was years behind (like the Georgie/Dillon and Courtney/Jason era) but we dont get it anymore. I do have to say that my nostalgic heart was so happy to see all those people that are coming back for that Alice funeral tribute. Like I said, in like 1990, we were watching the mid 80s down here, and I'm a little ashamed to admit that me and my sister named our fishes Euegene, Calliope, Jack, and Jennifer (to go along with our cats Sean and Tiffany- we were dorks), and were recreating Shane and Kim with our Barbie and Ken dolls. I've been catching up on GH via Youtube, and even though I can't stand th character of Kristina, I'm really enjoying the story. It's been pretty good. Can't wait for the Quartermaines story to pick up. Good on the US for finally starting to do something about that healthcare nightmare.
  8. I haven't watched this in ages, but I saw in TV week that Marilyn is coming back, so I watched a couple of says last week. Im so lost and don't know who half of these people are, but I was glad to see Alf and Irene are still hanging around.
  9. Hey, just dropping by to say hi! and no Halee, you're not the only one- im excited that Skye is coming back too
  10. I think me and you are the only ones happy about JJ on this board! its just you and me baby lol! GV seems like a very nice man, but I was totally eeeing when I watched yesterday's show online. I just loved original LnL2 back in the day, so Im happy to have him back. I haven't been watching GH much...too caught up in Eastenders, Packed to the Rafters, and H&A (are you watching the last two TracyQartermaine...im so hooked on Packed to the Rafters its ridiculous!!)
  11. I dont think whether he looks older or younger than Lulu is really a big issue; my brother and sister are younger than me yet both look older than me. How long is he here for? ON some of the other boards, I've read he'd moved his entire family down to LA and that he was here for at least a year or two. It looked lemony to me as well.
  12. Awww....I guess I'm the only one around here who's excited to see JJ back as Lucky lol. Haven't watched today's episode; will have to check out later.
  13. I watched today....the new Molly is adorable! All I've seen on other boards, the la times emmy board, and over in the Daytime Emmys chatroom about Emmy preseters is Jensen Ackles from Supernatural (on The CW but use to be on days), Laura Wright and Drew Garrett from GH, and Van Hansis, Jake Silbermann, Jon Lindstrom, Cady McClain, and Lynn Herring (to apparently rub in the fact to ABC that every stray and former ABC actor is now on ATWT) from ATWT, but who knows whats true and whats people just guessing
  14. Oh don't worry, we're having 24 hour Michael Jackson coverage too- complete with the memorial service and his face being on the cover of every single newspaper, tabloid, and magazine everyday for the past two weeks.
  15. Well, no more ghost Alan.... Stuart Damon is joining ATWT According to a BREAKING NEWS report at Soap Opera Digest, Stuart Damon (Alan Quartermaine, General Hospital) is heading to As the World Turns . Fans were outraged when General Hospital killed off the long time actor during the Emmy-winning storyline of the Metro Court Hostage Crisis. Since Alan's onscreen death, Damon had popped in here and there as Alan's ghost. Really, he acted as his sister Tracy's (Jane Elliot) conscience. This casting reunites Damon with former GH pals Jon Lindstrom (ex- Kevin Collins; now Craig Montgomery) and and Lynn Herring (ex-Lucy Coe; now Audrey Coleman). Stuart should first appear this September as a new character. http://www.daytimeconfidential.com/2009/07/01/breaking-news-stuart-damn-to-as-the-world-turns http://www.soapoperadigest.com/
  16. Yay! Sounds like a good day, so I have to catch it on yt later. and a little OT, but I can't believe Michael Jackson died...The first concert I ever went to was to see Michael Jackson.
  17. Lol, I wish she would! Cause then me and TracyQartermaine could watch her everyday since we get Days down here every night...in Primetime no less!
  18. omg, I just went to dd, and can you not search the threads anymore for specific things? do you have to read through all the threads now?
  19. Tony Geary's emmy submission: Anthony Geary (GH)-January 3rd, 2008-Luke puts is put on 'trial' in his mind for all his misdeeds and is faced with witnesses from his past and present Part 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cyEq2i6-zkA Part 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CK87a3gavz8
  20. YES! boo hiss ABC (and CBS) on that one lol. It seems so stupid to me that they only let people in the USA watch online...lame!! and yes, life is nice, calm, and enjoyable. Mom went back to Spain, Dad is in Argentina, and siblings and their friends have quit bothering me with their foolishness....life is good haha.
  21. Thanks for the tip nex, but I'll just have to watch on youtube because cbs and abc only let you watch those things online if you live in USA or Canada because of stupid country restrictions...sigh lol Thanks for filling me in! When does Tony leave again? Or has he already left?
  22. You know, I actually really really really like living in Australia, except for the fact that I can't watch Tracy live on tv anymore..... and now the fact that Lynn Herring is going to be on ATWT with Jon Lindstrom, and Im going to miss it and will have to watch on youtube! dammit dammit dammit lol! Things like this would happen when I end up living on the far side of the world haha and I haven;t watched the clips in like a week and a half because I went on HOLIDAY..woo hoo....to the Seychelles, but im watching them now, and Im confused! Ethan and Rebecca are now in on a con together or some sort? Is Holly gone? Is Luke actually Ethan's father or do we know? SO CONFUSING!
  23. Check out this weeks Performer of the Week episode of Daytime Confidential LOTS of Jane love.
  24. I'm fine- part of the roof of my house got blown off, I have a leak, and there was a tad bit of minor flooding, but other than that, I'm good. The beaches have been closed though.
  25. Oh wow....slow weekend huh? Anyway, I have a project for all of us...yay! I'm doing the Daytime Emmy reels master list of the LA times's Daytime section, so if any of you hear or see any scoop on what people have submitted, psot here and let me know! Any word on what TG or JMB submitted?
