She mentioned that she had only loved Harry O'Neil.

I don't remember Donna and Jack. I do remember a scene in which Travis and Donna were in a car together and the car broke down. Donna said that nothing like this ever happened to her - only to Erica.
There was also a pairing of Ross and Donna. He began dating Donna, and I think that the show was headed toward a Palmer-Donna-Ross triangle. (or, at least, a competition between father and son - Palmer and Ross). I remember Edna warning Ross to not hurt Donna because she had already had enough hurt. He dropped her, and he then became interested in Natalie. He later raped Natalie.

Yes, Tom and Donna became a couple for a VERY short period. They lived together. I think this was before she married Benny.
Also, at one point (when Dorothy Lyman was playing Opal), Opal decided that she was going to get with Tom. This was ironic because Ms. Lyman and Richard Shoberg had played brother and sister on The Edge of Night.

I don't remember that Tom and Livia were in Washington, D. C., but it may have been that way.
I do know that Paul Martin re-located to Washington, D. C. after he left Pine Valley.

I could not remember if Powell was the son or grandson of the first Powell. Thank you!

Richard Abott was the son of Victor's sister Gwendolyn Abbott.
Powell Lord was the grandson (or possibly son) of the brother of Victor.
I would not want to see other Lord relatives until all of the ones we know about were used. Dr. Dan Wolek was wasted so during the final decade. Tina also had two children who were not used to their fullest.

I had forgotten that Sarah and Meagan had a sister named Anna.
Sarah and Cordero were paired. I wonder who Bo was seeing at the time. He may have been mourning over the death of Didi.

Sarah mentions the mother of the Gordon sisters as being alive. I wonder what happened to her?

Manya Starr wrote for the first television soap opera, The Egg and I. Another writer was Robert Sonderberg.
She served as president of the Writers' Guild of America, East, and before that as national chairman off the Writers' Guild of America.

There was also a maid at Llanfair named Felicia. She worked there both for Victoria and Dorian.

The show was later written by Irving Vendig, who had created The Edge of Night. He was also that show's headwriter for many years. He was also a writer for Search for Tomorrow, Three Steps to Heaven, and Paradise Bay and the creator/headwriter of Hidden Faces.
Also Charles Polacheck, the producer, had earlier been a producer of The Edge of Night.

Isn't that nurse above actress Chase Crossley?

The man dancing with Rachel above reminds me of former Presidential candidate Rick Santorium a little bit.

No, I did not understand. I thought you arithmetic was wrong. She quit twice and was written off once - that means that she left three times altogether.
I will probably enjoy it more than you will yours.

It she was not on the show, then she would have had to left.

I was thinking that Anne Revere played the mother. Thank you for the corrections!
By the time that everything was explained to Tony, I had stopped watching and was enjoying A World Apart on ABC.

It was asked how old Margaret DePriest is.
I am not certain of her age, but she was an actress on The Edge of Night in 1964 - nearly forty years ago. She did not seem to be a spring chicken then.

Marcy was the wife of Tony Vincente who was confined to a wheelchair. Oscar-winner Anne Revere played her mother.
I am thinking that she spoke with an English accent, but I could be wrong on that.
She was desperate to keep Tony.

June Carter also played Cookie for a time on The Edge of Night. The Cookie role was created by Fran Sharon, and she returned to it. Ms. Sharon was playing it thoughout most of the 1960s.
I had seen this clip of June Carter previously.
Although I know of no clips of Beverly Lunsford on The Secret Storm, but she appears on reruns of Leave It to Beaver as one of Wally's friends.
Jada Rowland left the show THREE times: when Ms. Carter and Ms. Lunsford played the role, when she was playing Susan on As the World Turns, and when she left and Amy was played by Lynn Adams.
That Amy (other than Jada Rowland) was lighter-haired is not out of character for the soap operas in the 1960s. The role of Patti Tate on Search for Tomorrow was played by every physical type of actress. (And, even MUCH later, Mike Roy on All My Children was played by two very different actors.)

Can someone help me? I never watched Love of Life except for one summer. (heavily, I later watched it, but eventually dropped it).
Anyway, Barbara was being played by Lee Lawson. She had a neighbor who was German and was an older man. He was infactuated with her.
This was around 1964.
I THINK that Dennis Cooney may have been playing Allen at the time. I do remember that, a few months later, the actor who played Allen was changed. We hated the new one. Either Dennis Cooney or John Fink was the new one, but I think that it was John Fink.
Oh, I did not finish the question above. Who was the neighbor, and what actor played this neighbor.?
Any explanation of the storyline will be appreciated!

I think that one reason it was seldom mentioned was that Brooke tried to forget the rape and abortion. Others did not mention it around her.

I thought during that time that Viki was going to be revealed as the mother of one of the O'Neill daughters - probably Joy because the show, when Kristen Vigard left, hired Julie Ann Johnson to play Joy. Julie Ann Johnson had a strong resemblance to Erika Slezak to me. (This was before if was revealed that Viki actually did have an older daughter).

This was several years before Michael Malone was writing the show and the character of Todd had been created, but the name of the plant was Lord-Manning. I had not realized that until now!

Tom and Gloria Marsh should have been paired and become neighbors of Ruth and Joe. With Mary Fickett or Lee Meriweather not being shown as much, she could have filled the role of the nurse at the hospital, while he could have remained a business owner. Of course, if that had not happened, I have long wanted Tom to have moved to Pine Valley with Skye. There, he would have been her confidant. He could have even been the father of Kelly and Paul - Dorian could have hated him in the same way that she hated Larry and Peter.
