  1. LOL..... everyone has their take. Maggie HAS been boring for the past 25 years..... I just remember her with Don Craig and know she's so much more. Chloe only really worked in Broe. I agree that she's an absolute beauty but her acting needs work. She's not a "hair model" though - that's something. Speaking of our beloved JE, this was on a SID tweet: Jane Elliot is a national treasure. I really love her. #GH Anyone have any idea what inspired that? It was a repeat today, wasn't it?
  2. From where I'm sitting, the only person who has it "unresolved" is Peggy McKay. Caroline has told Victor no-go a few times, and TPTB obviously have their minds made up. Today it was supposed to be Shane/Kim's farewell and that was completely cut to put Magic in the show instead. Maggie gave Vivian an up-and-down for her jealousy, and Victor told Maggie "you're smart, you're funny, and you make more sense than any woman I've ever known". Now doesn't that sound like something that would come directly from Luke to Tracy? The four characters start at different places, but the journey is the same.
  3. As with most "SuperCouples" the hype is all that's left. Hope and Bo were great back in the day, but IMO should have ended years ago like the majority of GH SuperCouples did. I mean look at LnL - that horse was dead and stinking long before someone finally decided to end it formally, and even then it took almost a decade of bullets for many to get the message (acknowledging that some never will). Talking Heads and Pundits still make money off of the nostalgia around SuperCouples, but shows don't. I always liked Bo and Carly and while I am pulling for a Carly/Daniel eventually (if Bope has to be revisited), I am liking the fact that we don't have to be subjected to Bope bliss. Loved Shane and Kimberly back in the day as well, but I'm anxiously awaiting their return to LA (some actors you can put on and off the shelf easily, and some really, really show that they get rusty and loose their touch). I like Viv too and can't wait to see Viv against Magic. Carolyn will be her petty, shrewish self too, but that's to be expected. Interesting interview I read - apparently Peggy ?? who plays Carolyn was personally offended but the chemistry between Magic and went to TPTB demanding an explanation. Ken Cordey HIMSELF said she thinks Carolyn is Victor's "star crossed lover" and if SHE was going to have that kind of reaction, then they were going to play the hell out of Magic. LOL.... Peggy shot herself in the foot there. Cordey says they're in Magic for the long haul, and it will be a long haul... not an easy love story. Much like LuNacy it's about finding someone later in life when you thought you'd never find a "soul mate" again. Honestly - if we aren't going to have much Tracy, this is a good way to spend the summer. But for our gal, we have Franco stuff coming up, Grannie/BL stuff to watch for and who knows what this $10 million will do for the 3 months TG is gone. Then herself has vacation through much of August/September anyway. ILTQ I hope you're right - that now that JF knows the players better he asked for stuff with JE. It certainly seems like Franco is making more rounds this time and staying for a shorter time. I think Part II is going to be a vast improvement on Part I.
  4. I realize Justin came first, but IMO he's "Ned-lite" and always will be. He seems to have fallen in to the Residential Lawyer role once held by Mickey. Back in the day Adrienne and Justin were okay - but even then they needed Angelica to make it interesting. The chemistry was always WK/JE and no one else. In all honesty, even Once-a-month-Nedly was more interesting that weekly Justin is. I spend my birthday doing a Magic (Maggie and Victor) marathon catch-up. I loved Maggie for years, but really hated having her relegated to Mickey's world. She's far more interesting and Victor is more than just a bad-guy. I think the two bring out something not seen with other pairings, exactly like Luke and Tracy bring out things in each other that haven't been seen before. I also love that all four have reached the Purple Hat years - they don't give a rat's ass what anyone else thinks so long as it doesn't hurt the people they care about.
  5. Thank Darling...... Cheesecake and Martinis for breakfast and a pretty lazy day aside from that. All around there's not complaints here. Hope all of you enjoyed your holiday. BTW, Star is tweeting this evening and I "borrowed" this picture....
  6. Okay, so a number of months back Hooked and someone else (sorry, can't remember who) said they were following WK to Days. I tried - I really did - but Justin was a big flop for me and nothing held my interest. I fell in love with Days right around the time I fell in love with GH, so I knew the history but it was a big fat zero for me. Well - lately Maggie and Victor are sparking my interest just like Tracy and Luke did five years ago. What is it about Daytime who has boring couples for the most part, but the Surprise Seniors are FABULOUS???
  7. Prior insider stuff has at least three things she's part of, so we shall see. SI often has things on some characters but nothing on others who still show up throughout the time s/he's speaking of. August/September are her vacation months, so that's to be expected. Regardless though, the characters who do have story right now are a pretty good cross-section of the cast and there's still plenty for everyone.
  8. Here's Daytime Confidential's take on todays scenes. I actually like how they saw it.... Lucky, Lulu and Ethan try to defend Luke to Tracy, but she’s not interested. She’s determined to make Luke pay for stealing her money. Lucky and Ethan still think that something else made Luke leave. Lulu tries to convince Tracy to take Luke back, that she’s happy with the two of them together. Tracy brings up Dante and tells her not to compromise her principles for him.
  9. I think it has to do with all the excuses she made and lies she told around the time Dante was revealed to be an undercover cop, and since then how she's been his staunches defender. I think TPTB are not oblivious to Lulu being seen as Dante's new mouth-piece and are having the dialogue acknowledge it. Lante will have trouble - that's just the way it happens - and perhaps Tracy will be there to see it. She'll certainly be there to help Lulu through whatever does come. The other day we also had Lulu say to Olivia that she's not a mindless cheerleader. I loved her comment about Tracy. The Spencer Sibs really do know her and love her for herself.
  10. Spencer Sibs tell Tracy they don't know where he went, but Luke loves her and he's only gone until she realizes how much she misses him and wants him back. Tracy says he CONNED her... but Ethan says she's far too smart and she was only "conned" because she wanted to be. Tracy tells him not to Psycho-analyse her. Lucky tells Tracy when Luke says he wants her in his life, he's not kidding. Tracy doesn't have a quick retort. The boys keep working on her and talk about how Lunacy enjoys the game and the excitement. Tracy says it sounds as lame from them as it did from Luke. Ethan asks her to cut Luke some slack and she says all she did was cut him slack for years. But now she wants boredom and an unfettered bank account. Lucky says he will help her find Luke if that's what she wants, but she says she will get the cops to help her this time and heads for the door. Lulu finally speaks up and asks her brothers to put a lid on it while she talks to Tracy alone. The boys agree and go outside the door to talk. Finally we find out what 'else' Luke left for - it's the knowledge that Sonny is setting the bomb and doesn't want to have that knowledge while being in town. The second issue isn't Tracy or money. Well....... I should have written TraLu's "heart to heart".... Lulu got Tracy to admit she still loves Luke but she feels like a fool. Tracy tells Lulu it was all a con for her money, and Lulu agrees it started out that way but that's not the case now. Then why didn't he tell the truth, Tracy asks - because Luke hates confrontation Lulu replies. Lulu knows Tracy has been hurt, but they still want each other. She goes on to admit she never thought she would cheer anyone else except her mother, but Lulu really likes them together and wants them to work it out. Tracy assures her that just because Luke is out of her life doesn't mean Lulu is. Lulu asks if she could just bring Luke back in too. Then out of nowhere Tracy compares the excuses Lulu is making for Luke with excuses she makes for Dante. Lulu wonders where that comes from and Tracy says just open her mind to all the excuses she's already made for Dante, and all the ones she will make in the future and then even further into the future, and THEN when they blow up in her face Lulu might understand how deeply hurt Tracy is now. Then Tracy leaves while Lulu is left to think.
  11. I'm glad everyone else is loving "Lucky - the LuNacy Apologist" as much as I am, lol...... As much as I like sexy GV, we haven't seen Lucky this supporting of LuNacy since Luke's heart attacks. Lulu's "beginning to like them" was odd - she's been the primary LuNacy-propper in that family. Perhaps we should hear that as "finally being able to relax into the assuredness that they were a long-term unit" - at least that's how I'm going to hear those comments. We should hear more of that today. Ethan was funny - "Tracy will need someone to yell at" "That'll be you" "yes it will"... lol.... As for Luke leaving for some other reason, no.... Tracy is the only REASON but he was probably getting out of The Chuckles before he was caught with the money. I hope he's going to let the money sit and give it all - perhaps even with interest - back to Tracy when he returns. I also got the sense that IF he's not returning until Tracy is ready to take him back, then we've been given a hint as to how this will play out for Tracy. By fall she'll either need him or miss him so much it won't matter. Luke is not wrong in the assumption that she needs some space right now. Too bad we didn't get any actual LuNacy yesterday but I can understand why not. I also think it was sweet that Luke asked his kids to look after her. For years he's been asking Tracy to look after Lulu. I hope the conversation today goes along the lines of the Spencers not letting her go and that regardless of paperwork, she's still their Step-Monster.
  12. LOL... the REAL Iris Cory
  13. I suspect that won't actually play out until Thursday, Hooked. After her talk with Lulu she might soften and then bam - the news of the money. I don't know who the guy accepting was, but it was interesting that the only four people mentioned were the HW, EP some other writer/ex and Jane. I also wanted to tell everyone I'm gone in an hour or so to visit Things 2&3 at summer camp, so I'm not around to recap the day. Hopefully Ms. Q will happen by and do it for everyone.
  14. I doubt it - that was during her annual vacation time. I think it was a general comment that she advises the Director team from time to time throughout the year.
  15. GHH2 has some spoilers for tomorrow including the Spencer Screamers planning an party, Luke intentionally leaving town to get Tracy's attention and the theft of the $10 mil.<div><br></div><div>TraLu is supposed to be on the 1st, so that's two days this week.</div>
  16. Ethan brings Luke cigars, and E tells Luke to find a way to 'win his wife back'. Luke says he's got a plan to put some distance between himself and his "popsicle", to which Ethan responds "assuming with the popsicle melts there is a heart". Luke takes exception saying he intends to spend the rest of his life with his wife. More blather about Monte Carlo and trying to keep Ethan away from Johnny without Ethan getting wise, but Ethan blows him off. Later Lucky and Luke talk about Ethan. No Tracy - just a shout out that Luke intends to spend his life with her.
  17. So much truth there! Seems no one does want that headache. I'm a firm believer in the one who talks the most also has the most to hide. I don't think it's a simple matter of "DG is amazing but he wasn't intense enough". All he did was "intense". CD is already a lot more varied. Sure I can do without the constant knitted eyebrows, but he's much more multi-facited. This guy has me wanting what's next. DG had me wanting him to shut up and go sit in the corner. I'm still stuck on Betty White playing another Mrs. Quartermaine, or Ms. Morgan...... that would be super!!!
  18. OMG, I'm listening to the SID Podcast and it's basically confirmed - Vegas paid for this award show. How sick is that? That guy is funny "It brought the SOAP community together - it gave us something to hate!"
  19. Well TG loves her, the directors appreciate and respect her. I'd imagine TG's would be better. DG NOT winning was the best part of the show IMO (although the Cirq. de Sol carb was impressive - even if misplaced). That guy is following in the well trod footsteps of GF and TR, whining in the press and using it for their own personal platform. From just watching them I can understand why GH doesn't want any of them back. SJB got her fingers wrapped for the same stunt but seems to have learned her lesson. Love your ideas re: Betty White. Although I'd love to see her as a potential woman-friend for Edward. THEN we'd see Tracy's claws come out. I would pay admission to see Betty White and Jane Elliot going toe-to-toe. Or maybe the sister is a good idea..... she could come with juicy family secrets. Or how about Edward's Sister-in-Law who knows more than she should..... of the possibilities are endless.....
  20. Okay, good. I didn't think he was 18 yet - his Bar MItzvah wasn't that long ago I thought. But when it's not your kid, time seems to fly faster. As for JE, I think TPTB know who and what they have in her. She's got more knowledge and ability in her baby finger than most, and they obviously know the skills when they are presented.
  21. ABC hardly got any "face time". Lucci was about it. Everything else was very CBS focused, even the panning of the crowd. At one point I saw GHers on two separate sides of the aisles but they weren't seated in clumps like the B&B group was, right up front. We didn't even see JJ or KeMo except to present. I saw BA once or twice, and he was on the red carpet along with LA/NP and CH. That was just about all GH had to show for itself. Then JMB and the directors were shown when they won. JE could have been there supporting any number of people and we would never have known it. Now my personal assumption was that she wasn't and that when the director mentioned her name it was after someone called it out, but the way it happened certainly suggests that the acknowledgement of her was either a reminder (which we didn't hear) or seeing her directly. That would be a nice transition for her - she did say that she wanted to do that again. Then Tracy would be around if they needed her. Is your son going to Columbia? Is he that old yet?
  22. Cool. Thanks Luv. Nice to hear she's keeping her hand in the technical stuff. Okay, it wasn't just me.... I thought that too. Now I have to go back and look again, lol.... If she is there, it's by stealth. EDIT - ugh... even on slow mo with no audio, I can't stand watching Regis. What a hideous opening that was... I'm going to tweet someone to find out!
  23. Just what we were expecting today.... Luke tries to talk sense into Sonny but doesn't succeed.
  24. Really? I wasn't listening closely to the speeches - I'll have to go back and see. I remember Guza and Phelps being mentioned.
  25. Enjoy your time Hooked. I actually watched the Emmys this year - which is rare for me. CBS did a butcher job, making it more about Vegas and Regis than Daytime.... sigh..... Betty White earned B&B their Best Show Emmy - the snapshots were quite amazing. I can now see why the pundits thought it was a contest between GH and B&B. Their win was legit. ATWT took both Best Actor/Actress, which I thought quite a fitting tribute to that show's final year. DG DIDN'T win - which is good. Now perhaps that actor will start to fade a bit. We're never privy to back-room politics, but if some of the lesser things that have emerged are even a little true, it's time to turn this kid's publicity off. JMB too a second Younger Actress, which was great. GH also got Best Directed. No one show walked away with anything, although ATWT was the night's biggest winner. I haven't seen the technical awards yet. Next year ABC doesn't have much to do to be better with this show. They didn't show actors clips at all. The highlight was certainly the tribute to Dick Clarke and American Bandstand, but again that was more about Vegas than daytime. They tried to put too much into a two hour show and didn't do it well. The last 15 minutes felt incredibly rushed.
