Yeah, there was plenty of potential there, but obviously they had Antonio in the works already.

You mean Mark (Nick Stabile)? I agree about both Paula and Elaine. There were so many possibilities with A.J. and Elaine after all the stories Elaine told of her complicated relationship. I think the blame is entirely on Meg Bennett's shoulders. She was head writing from October '98 to October '99. Or maybe it was Gary Tomlin after all.

Cat, what did you think about Paula and Elaine as characters, and the actresses that played them, and their departure before Christimas '97?

A lot of people liked Maria. But any other role Chambers had later was met with much hate. I was very intrigued when I watched Maria's return from the dead, first in the form of a patient named Dana, then later the big surprise at the wedding. It certainly provided a lot of amazing scenes. But later on she was always the one to rescue, always the victim. Then again, I only saw a few episodes, so I'll reserve my judgment when I actually reach those episodes.

I loved Ben and Meg as a kid. Any couple that was good and decent was the one that I was rooting for. Nowadays it's more team Annie. I don't hate Meg and Ben as much as some people do, they're fine by me.

You have no idea how happy I am to have the chance to watch it. If I could go back in time, to 2000 (when the show aired in my country) and tell my very young self that I would one day have the chance to watch the show all over again, I would just scream... I think I'd even have a heart attack if I knew about that. They're all amazing. Virginia is a prime villain. And Bette is just... irreplaceable. It was very obvious how they pimped Eddie Cibrian. Just recently I watched the episode where one of the employees where Cole was trying to get a job was having a fantasy of Cole doing a striptease in a cocktail bar.

I do agree very much about the acting abilities of Priscilla Garita, Sam Behrens and Sarah Buxton. They're the best. I'm equally enjoying several others at the moment, including Lesley-Anne Down, Dominique Jennings and Kathleen Noone. Meanwhile, I'm kind of annoyed with Caitlin at the moment. Sure, Vanessa Dorman was the first Caitlin and all, but from what I've seen Kam Heskin was decent as well. I can't really grade the acting abilities of Eddie Cibrian, Jason Winston George, Timothy Adams and Hank Cheyne because they're all playing clueless males.

It was one of the most recognizable stories though - behind Terror Island and the Titanic (or Poseidon or whatever). Damn, I still get disgusted just thinking about it - but it was entertaining. Virginia was one amazing villain. It would have been better if I would be able to watch all of these episodes without knowing what would happen. But my curiosity got the best of me years ago. I never counted on the chance that I might watch the show again.

I don't have an opinion on the last year. I've heard of almost all storylines during 1999, but I never actually watched any of the episodes. SuBe got canceled after the Terror Island episodes in my country and that's where my regular viewing stopped. I saw several '98 episodes on a foreign channel (pretty much the earthquake/Titanic storyline) but that was it. I did, however, read through all the episodes of the show. Now, finally, I get to watch the show again. I'm currently on February '98 but will work my way through all the episodes.

The episode was decent, it had its moments. Nothing too special, but not bad either.

It was a dayplayer role, per various sites.

Oh damn, Annie is just so amazing. I haven't watched the show in awhile, so hearing her sarcastic comments and jokes if a breath of fresh air. I don't think that there is a Kansas-related insult Annie didn't use while describing Meg. She's just amazing, just like her aunt Bette. Annie

Yes, definitely! There was always that attraction, especially in the beginning when Tim kept resisting Annie because of his St. Meg.

Yes, definitely. However, I don't know how long it will take me. It depends on what episodes I decide to watch and which I just roll through in five minutes.

Well, ever since I got a chance to watch the show from the very beginning, I have to admit I've been abusing the chance to just do the episode counts - meaning that I haven't watched so much of the show and instead just focused on doing the episode counts. I've pretty much fast-forwarded to around episode 120 because I've watched the first 120 episodes multiple times and I knew everything that was going on. It was great fun to revisit the first storylines - the unsuccessful Rae/Casey pairing, Del's murder mystery, Paula getting kidnapped, Cole revealed as Elaine's son, and multiple similar storyline... and I've got to admit that after episode 100 is where it becomes more interesting. Just to make a note - Ashley Hamilton was horrible as Cole, not just because Cibrian owns the role, but because Hamilton didn't seem to know how to act at all. Plus, this new Tiffany Thorne is all kinds of horrible (and Adrienne Frantz was SO playing Amber even before she joined B&. The best part of the show was the reveal of Del's killer, Annie getting cremated, Caitlin and Cole escaping from Sunset Beach - and pretty much anything connected to Bette! Now I'm around episode 120, as I've said, and this is where my FF session will stop for awhile and I'll get to enjoy more of the stuff ... this is also the time when the theme song will change, and I absolutely loved the second theme song. Of course, I might just continue FFing later if I find something boring. And, the part that I'm looking forward the most is the Terror Island storyline which is where I stopped watching the show because my country didn't buy new episodes, and then pretty much the entire 1998 and 1999.

I don't think she ever had a real career to begin with. But damn, that's horrible. But not to get OT - I'm currently in the middle of season two and I like the show. I'll stick with it until the end of season five and then decide if it is worth losing my nerves to watch the remaining two seasons. But I still have a long way to go until then - all seasons are just soooo long.

I was kind of surprised by how fast they got rid of Sammy Jo in season 2. She married Steven, then started to show her true colors, and she allowed Alexis to buy her off. And that was that.

She's probably gone. They would've done something with her by now. I don't miss her. They ruined the character - and it seems that the producers never had a long term plan, but just used her as a temporary obstacle for Will and Emma.

Kurt and Finn were boring, IMO. Rachel and her mother were okay, the song they did together was great. And Tina was okay, I guess. Everything else was bleh.

I think I remember her saying that she's staying at Puck's, and she's still thinking about adoption since Will told her that she'll make some family really happy. The show feels the same way to me - just some fun with a little singing and a storyline thrown inside. It's not a show I'll spend time thinking about.

It's true, the show has been less intriguing since it returned for the other half of the season. I wonder if they'll just completely drop Jessalyn Gilsig. She only had one appearance since winter. It's a shame since she does know how to act; she just got stuck in quite a bad role. Meanwhile, Jayma Mays is just great. I don't hate Lea Michele as much as some fans do; I actually like her the way she is. I'm having a little trouble liking Finn though. Quinn, Santana and Brittany are all great, and Sue is always fun - I just hope they don't overdo her character. And yes, Jonathan Groff needs to cut his hair.
