  1. Well, ever since I got a chance to watch the show from the very beginning, I have to admit I've been abusing the chance to just do the episode counts - meaning that I haven't watched so much of the show and instead just focused on doing the episode counts. I've pretty much fast-forwarded to around episode 120 because I've watched the first 120 episodes multiple times and I knew everything that was going on. It was great fun to revisit the first storylines - the unsuccessful Rae/Casey pairing, Del's murder mystery, Paula getting kidnapped, Cole revealed as Elaine's son, and multiple similar storyline... and I've got to admit that after episode 100 is where it becomes more interesting. Just to make a note - Ashley Hamilton was horrible as Cole, not just because Cibrian owns the role, but because Hamilton didn't seem to know how to act at all. Plus, this new Tiffany Thorne is all kinds of horrible (and Adrienne Frantz was SO playing Amber even before she joined B&. The best part of the show was the reveal of Del's killer, Annie getting cremated, Caitlin and Cole escaping from Sunset Beach - and pretty much anything connected to Bette! Now I'm around episode 120, as I've said, and this is where my FF session will stop for awhile and I'll get to enjoy more of the stuff ... this is also the time when the theme song will change, and I absolutely loved the second theme song. Of course, I might just continue FFing later if I find something boring. And, the part that I'm looking forward the most is the Terror Island storyline which is where I stopped watching the show because my country didn't buy new episodes, and then pretty much the entire 1998 and 1999.
  2. I don't think she ever had a real career to begin with. But damn, that's horrible. But not to get OT - I'm currently in the middle of season two and I like the show. I'll stick with it until the end of season five and then decide if it is worth losing my nerves to watch the remaining two seasons. But I still have a long way to go until then - all seasons are just soooo long.
  3. I was kind of surprised by how fast they got rid of Sammy Jo in season 2. She married Steven, then started to show her true colors, and she allowed Alexis to buy her off. And that was that.
  4. I guess I'm not at that point yet. She only just came to the show and Steven rode a car for her; that's pretty much it. I still have more than half of the season to go through. But I'm enjoying it.
  5. I'm currently in the middle of season two, first time watching. I believe Krystle just lost her baby. My thoughts for now: Corley is doing great as Steven, I'm afraid of the recast even though it's inevitable. Collins really adds something to the show, but its still the very beginning of her run. I am very happy that Matthew, Lindsay, Michael and Walter were written out of the show. I do like Claudia to some extent, but at the moment they don't seem to know what to do with her. And oh yeah- I don't like Sammy Jo one bit.
  6. I've just started to watch this show for the very first time. Hope it doesn't disappoint.
  7. Yep, Relax, Take It Easy and Grace Kelly from that first one, and Blame It On the Girls and Rain from the second one.
  8. I do, however, agree that it was more elegant, and it had a sexy feel to it. But for some reason, the second one was more soapy (it worked well with the beach theme).
  9. Yeah, it's his best song IMO. He may have like one or two other good songs, but the rest isn't worth listening to. Yep, 8 years together.
  10. I liked the original theme, but when the new one premiered I immediately fell in love with it. It was just... better.
  11. This is a band I've loved ever since I first found out about them... La Rocca. I went so far as to learning every single song from their album The Truth, and their newest one, Ok Okay is also quite good, maybe even an improvement. My favorite from the newest album, Roadway Hymn: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QabnZRlem_c Recently I've discovered Relax, Take It Easy and I haven't been able to get it out of my mind. Also, it was the first time I've heard of Mika.
  12. I myself love the show and think they deserve the praise.
  13. All I've got to say is: Congrats on becoming the highest rated TV show in the 7th season.
  14. I was never able to get into her albums, but the songs from ANY Ally McBeal soundtrack were almost always great, IMO.
  15. Awwww, that lovely theme song...
  16. No, JER consulted in 1998.
  17. No, it was Gregory. "Richards" was his last name.
  18. I was confused there for a second. You obviously meant Ricardo.
  19. Shawn Batten, Christina Chambers, Nick Stabile, Sherri Saum, Dominique Jennings, Nick Kiriazis, Gordon Thomson, Leigh-Taylor Young... all good actors, all NOT on daytime... Even Kathleen Noone, Kam Heskin and Tracey Melchior should find more permanent jobs, aside from their momentary appearances on PSSN & B&B.
  20. If anyone is interested, dailymotion has most of episodes from 1 to 226 posted on their sites. Oh how much I miss that show!
  21. The show is just amazing. The combinations of drama, action and comedy is just perfect. Many people don't like it, thinking it's nothing like CSI, but that's the point. It's different. It's interesting. And in Season 5, the ratings continue growing.
  22. She took a three-year break after her short stint on "Passions" and is currently filming movies. I'm still sad that so many talented actors from SUBE didn't show up on other shows... or at least that they aren't currently active on any soap. Garita had a short temp. on PSSN and nothing else, Buxton also had quite a short role on B&B and was scrapped from it in 2005 when Tylo returned, and even Sherri Saum, Clive Robertson, Sam Behrens, Tracy Melchior, Gordon Thomson and others aren't doing anything notable.
  23. Yup, it was my first too. An amazing soap opera. Half the soaps these days are not even as near as interesting.
  24. Definitely! Aaron was legend!
  25. "Loving," a soap opera created by Agnes Nixon & Douglas Marland in 1983, aired for 12 long years on ABC, but never was a success on daytime. The show premiered as a TV movie on primetime, and during it's early years, it centered around the blue-collar Donovans and the blue-blood Aldens. The stories revolved around alcoholism, post-traumatic stress syndrome, murders, and all storylines known to the world of soap operas. In 1995, ABC no longer wanted to keep "Loving" on it's schedule. The ratings kept falling. Yet, ABC didn't want to just make it disappear, so they asked the head writers to write a storyline which could allow some of the character to return in a spin-off called "The City." Relocated from the fictional town of Corinth, Pennsylvania to the trendy SoHo neighborhood of New York, the residents all lived and worked together in a single building. This building became the new setting for the series and housed a bar, a medical clinic, an ad agency, several residential lofts and a penthouse. Unfortunately, none of these changes were enough to ensure the success of the series. After initial viewer curiosity wore off, the show began to post lower ratings than its predecessor Loving. Then, in October 1996, the series star Morgan Fairchild departed the show after her one-year contract expired. In a last ditch effort to keep the show alive, the show transplanted the popular General Hospital character, Tracy Quartermaine to replace Fairchild as the show's lead villainess. However, ratings did not improve and the show was canceled after less than a year and a half.
