  1. Working at Jabot, fighting with Jack & Traci, dealing with Dina (and Brent) & her relationship with Eric. Ashley was very popular & had quite a bit of story before Victor. Nikki/Victor/Ashley was the climax (which unfortunately has never ended). Stepsiblings. Katherine became a saint after the horrible Mother/Daughter "twist. It's been all downhill since then. Not really. It wasn't until the end of Victor being shot that Jill & Katherine noticeably slowed down in terms of story. A that only really lasted about a year & a half (which in reality isn't much overall).
  2. That was all fairly heavy. She had Esther's love life, Rex's death, a breast cancer scare, then was a heavy part of John & Jill's marriage/eventual custody battle as well as Danny/Cricket/Paul/Giggly/Gina's issues in addition to her side stories (facelift, Dina/John, Nikki, Kurt/Ashley Nina/Ryan/Phillip). It wasn't only after Who Shot Victor climaxed that Katherine struggled & that was only cause Bill was busy trying to make Jill/Keith work which led directly into their house fight. Alison was interesting cause she was a cross between Tammy Grimes & Stephanie Beacham's Sable Colby. The irony is (much like with Jill/Nina/Chloe) a lot of the things Nikki has said to Sharon are things Alison said about (and to) Nikki. Flo is who Gloria should be (and was to a certain extent with JVA).
  3. The triangle wasn't bad it was just that Alison was much more fun alone (especially with Nikki) than in a relationship. Plus Mark Tapscott wasn't strong enough to be paired with Jeanne. It was like watching Clint Howard & Eileen Heckart. Not really. Katherine is one of the few characters in soap history to ALWAYS have story. She hasn't always had the best relationships but beyond one particular period (and even then she had a fairly healthy amounts of story) she's basically been frontburner. It was awhile. And Lauren was with Danny & Traci way before she was with Paul.
  4. It wasn't. It mainly consisted of Angela whining & Peter Brown looking bored. Somewhat. Though Tammy Grimes like Alison being the best.
  5. Bill was going to keep them both then changed his mind. To free up Paul. Earl & Alison were married (and Kevin's parents). Earl & Katherine had a thing in the past. Alison asked Katherine for make over tips then used Katherine's help to win Earl back. Victor/Nikki became insanely popular. Once they got together there wasn't much need for him (shame though since he was cute).
  6. Jamie felt as the de facto star she was entitled to "speak out". A lot of her co stars had their issues too but they also had a lot of respect for Bill to be overly critical in the press unlike now.
  7. Y&R made definitely made a big mistake getting rid of her. Though the lesbian story was unpopular (despite making total sense) & Kay made a great everywoman (like Judith Light as Karen Wolek) given the ratings it was understandable why they abandoned it. She had a couple of great emotional scenes with Herrera & Kayser (one where she broke down about the state of their marriage to Herrera being especially good).
  8. Not much unfortunately. While he was good even then Kay Heberle was the real star.
  9. She basically hung out with her (their relationship was a lot like Katherine & Amber's).
  10. No he didn't. No she didn't. No she didn't. Nope.
  11. They had such a long courtship it's easy to do. Amen.
  12. Season 3 but otherwise you're right.
  13. Nope. It was A Different World.
  14. Yep. Dwayne visited Denise at in NY & got closure then got trapped in a car in a snowstorm with Whitley.
  15. Not directly. The Ice Queen story. One of the best parts of the 1st season.
  16. They never officially broke up but said they were just friends when they showed up together for Theo's graduation. Now THAT we can agree about.
  17. Yet she was never allowed to call them Grandpa & Grandma.
  18. I liked it too. But the writer's paternalistic writing had kept her "chaste" for so long all her relationships felt false. That story would've been better served given to Sabrina or Malcolm. Raven was amazing for the first year (not as effortless as Keisha) but still really good but then the writers started doing Kids Say The Darndest Things with Bill & Raven instead of writing Cliff & Olivia. The twins were just a mess.
  19. A lot of the problem had to do with the kids. Sondra was too old to do cute kid stuff, Bill had problems with Lisa, Tempest was in school & adorable as Keisha was as a kid she was NOT a sympathetic teen actress. Which left Malcolm (who Bill favored) who did a LOT of the heavy lifting (along with Tempest & Raven) as far as the kids toward the end. Erika was brought on to help the show be more "earthy" & help Tempest but besides the brief sex story the show never gave Pam much to work with. Raven was a wonderful actress especially at first but then the writers wrote her too precocious as she aged.
  20. You asserted that almost every time white people appeared on the show that they were presented as racist. FALSE. You asserted that the show was "preachy" in 5 & 6 in comparison to other seasons. FALSE. You asserted that the election was always mentioned in season 6 when it was only mentioned in maybe THREE episodes. FALSE. You asserted that whites were portrayed as "racist, ignorant, and evil" & that the show was "pushing an agenda that whites are horrible people with no respect for blacks." Both FALSE. You're still projecting. Yes. You did Your assertions didn't become "opinions" until you were presented with evidence to the contrary that you couldn't dispute. Just because you change your assertions to "opinions" doesn't make you any less wrong. You're welcome to dispute the presented facts until then you're just wrong. No. You made assertions you can't dispute when presented with FACTS which clearly prove otherwise. That's not an opinion. That's being wrong.
  21. It's more than just "disagreeing". You were presented with FACTS you couldn't dispute that clearly proved your assertions false. Which is a perfectly fine way to feel. However you asserted that the show changed its social values & it didn't. No. Until you are able to dispute the FACTS it's not a "difference of opinion". You're just wrong.
  22. No they weren't. That's the point. EVERY time there was a racist White person there was at LEAST one counterbalance. So your assertion is false. And again the FACTUAL evidence clearly proves your assertion wrong. You're projecting. That's not the show's problem. No. It's NOT a difference of opinions. You made incorrect assertions & were proved factually wrong in every instance. You're still projecting. The show ALWAYS had strong moral & social values. That never changed.
