I saw of her as Minx Lockridge on Santa Barbara (certainly one of the more...unique recasting choices in soap history).

Janis Paige was too young to play the mother of Nicolas Coster, but in a vacuum, she did do a great job in putting her spin on the role of Minx.

May Janice Paige rest in peace.

  2. Wow. All this talk about Martha Byrne's husband made me curious, so I did a Google dive.

I guess it is on brand for Martha to defend Dump, considering hubby was working for the freaking Chinese government! I had no idea he was in such deep doo doo. From what I read, he has yet to be sentenced but faces 20 years in prison. All I ever recalled from the soap mags was he was a cop.

So much for that. Bye bye!

Now this is going to stick to Trump for that same kind of voter who isn't part of the hardcore in either party, and start to jostle them awake for November.

From your lips (keyboard?) to the voters' minds/ears...

Marcus Aurelius would have been a little "on the nose" given that his brother was named Roman,  But, somewhere along the way they would've needed to explain why this Irish family named their sons after leaders of the Roman Empire.  And if Caroline had named him Pericles, his Greek origin would've been too obvious.

They must have hung on to this idea for a bit. I recall seeing a clip from 1982 with Catherine Mary Stewart's Kayla telling someone - I think it may have been Marlena? - about her absent brother Marcus.

Obviously, by the time he showed up in 1983, he was Beauregard/Bo.

Although someone must have liked the name Marcus, since the character of Marcus Hunter did come later on...

It was nice seeing Nancy and Lane going back and forth though! The memories 🥲 They still have it!

I read that Lane was on elsewhere, too. I was going to watch LD/NLG [they always deliver!], but with the recent news, I don't want to invest just to have the proverbial rug pulled out from under me here, so I'll just read and smile. (Mega Mason/Julia fan that I am/was.)

Anyway, I don't know if this was ever posted here before. It's a few minutes of a live recording from September 18, 1979.

Cool clip. Thanks! The fact this occurred on my 7th birthday just makes me feel very old, though. LOL!

  7. Orange Yam Criminal spanked by a porn star - in and out of court.

Brain worms. Brain f-u-c-k-i-n-g worms inside a crazy, gravel-voiced spawn of a beloved fallen hero. Poor worm probably starved to death from lack of food.

THESE are the alternatives to President Joe Biden.

But hey, sure! Let's give either of the former two the nuclear codes!

    What. The F*CK.

  8. I hate this. I love this!

I haven't watched GH in an eternity. I am/was a Mason/Julia uberfan! And I loved the potential of Cameron/Alexis, but Guza wrecked that.

I don't want to watch GH again, damn it! But now I may have to. Hey, if Michael Easton and Roger Howarth can play multiple characters, so can freakin' Lane Davies!

With Patrick Mulcahey being responsible for so much M/J goodness on SB, this intrigues me.

  9. While her story was never great there, I remember Meg Bennett as Megan Richardson on Santa Barbara, who was another love of CC's that had his long-lost (drippy) son Greg. Her acting was good. I just wish she had better material there.

    May she rest in peace.

The twins were played by Thad Luckinbill; but also his real-life twin Trent Luckinbill appeared briefly as one of the twins or as a body of one of the twins.

That, I didn't know! (I didn't even know Thad had a real twin! That's pretty ironic and wild!)
