  2. It's not the first time this happened. It happened in 1994 to Michelle Kwan who placed 2nd at nationals but Nancy Kerrigan was sent instead (obviously beyond Nancy's control). In 2006, it was Emily Hughes who placed third and was initially passed over for Michelle Kwan who would later withdrawal just before the games and Emily did compete. Honestly, I enjoyed Mirai skating but she is very inconsistent and Ashley's has a slightly more proven track record.

  3. Olympics are coming! They are adding a team element to this years skating competition. Each eligible country selects one man, woman, pair and ice dancing team to compete in a short and long program. So skaters could win more than one medal at this years Olympics.

  4. Count me in as a longtime fan and supporter of SNL too. I loved how this past summer they re-aired on Sunday nights some special retrospectives of SNL as each decade progressed, and how the cast would change through the years and outside influences (9/11, cultural events) that would affect the material they showed.

It's always amazing how just when you think the show is dead and they cannot possibly recover, and then over time things catch on; the new cast gets their groove, they create new hilarious characters, and the show produces a new crop of Hollywood big names.

I think Cecily Strong is hilarious and I'm sure she'll do fine as the new weekend co-host. She hasn't been on that long, but she's already had me laughing over some of her characters (like the Girl You Don't Want to Talk To At A Party, and the Moet & Chandon Champagne porn girl). My only gripe over who does the Weekend Update hosting is that it means they no longer appears in skits. I always enjoyed Seth Meyers in skits, but once he became Update host, you never saw him in skits again.

Seth stopped appearing in skits because he was also HW. Tina Fey started as a writer than was put on the update desk with Jimmy Fallon. Jimmy still appeared in skits as did Amy Poehler when she was the co-anchor. One of Cecily's best characters was the girl you don't want to talk to at a party and we won't be seeing that anymore.

  5. Though Ashley Wagner and Gracie Gold didn't win an medal at worlds I am thrilled that they placed well enough to secure 3 spots for the US at next years Olympics and Worlds. Gracie Gold is one to watch if she can become more consistent and do well in both short and long programs.

  6. i skipped ahead till tomorrow episode info on my tv and the first thing it said... "luke causes tracy to be jealous". there was nothing today like there should have been but anna and luke weren't on either so they just skipped a day. i'm ok with that asd long as they didn't just cut it.

I have noticed those summaries have been off. I think one said something about Carly and she wasn't even on that day.

  7. This season is a hot mess. The only part of it I liked was Mercedes telling off Schue and leaving. Amber Riley is the best voice on this show and has been SORELY wasted. Then the Trouble Tones became my favorite thing about the show. And then one day, after ONE LOSS, they just decide to cave in and be background singers for that obnoxious, horribly dressed, rancid bitch again?

    No me gusta.

See I couldn't stand Mercedes uppity rudeness during that whole storyline.

  8. Was Christmas special thing supposed to be bizarre? It was all kind of random with the writing. I was suspecting that they would come to their senses before the special and go to the homeless shelter like they promised Sue first instead they (minus Sam and Quinn) did their special and showed up because the last 10 minutes were cut. They also never addressed the fact the Rachel is Jewish (not counting her saying Happy Hannukah to someone when they were ringing the bell). This season has been a disaster for the most part and I found season 2 largely hit or miss. Did they even address the fact that the group is back together, maybe I didn't pay enough attention last week but I thought they said they wouldn't come back but Rachel invited them to come sing with them at the end. I watch NCIS than the DVR recording of Glee and I forget that I can FF through commericals.

  9. I've never understood why we didn't see more of their lives outside the BAU. I mean we got glimpses here and there and of course the big arc with the Reaper (which I hated!!) killing Hotch's wife, but we've very rarely seen what they do when they leave work.

In all honestly, people in that line of work probably don't have much of a personal life. It looks like we are getting a little of it this especially, so far mostly with Rossi. We have seen his house twice and now he is going to have to deal with his ex-wife and her ALS. That will bring up a whole issue because if he follows her wishes to not let her suffer after a certain point.
