After Mary's death in 1986 was a good example.

Yes, that was what came to my mind first. Eden comforted him, and he provided moral support when she was paralyzed and when Cruz was on trial for a murder he didn't commit.

Thank you! I’ll search for those episodes.

I also liked the complex brother/sister relationship that Mason and Eden had. They could (and did) quarrel like nobody's business, but were always there for each other when the chips were down.

I wish I’d seen that during the bits of pre-1991 SaBa I watched (Eden’s rape). Any particular era when that relationship really came to the fore?

And Roger, not the most decorated clay court player in history, gets the prime position. (Yes, I know RF hasn’t played the clay season in years, so there’s novelty, but still. And RF has only committed to two clay tournaments this year.)

  4. Abby and Meghan are children of conservative politicians and of extreme privilege so they’ve been steeped in a worldview since birth, although I agree Abby at least comes across as insincere in her convictions. I just don’t buy her. At all.

I couldn’t stand Elisabeth, and most of the time I even appreciated when Barbara would check her. Barbara has always been imperious, and I imagine as a pioneering woman in TV news she suffered a great deal. But her behavior in that audio clip as well as throughout much of her tenure on The View showed a real ugly side.
