As a true blue Brenda fan none of her returns bothered me that much.  They weren't good at all, but I don't think LW diminished her at all.  VM not referring to Carly by name but calling her "THAT GIRL" is kinda legendary.  When GH is all said and done Brenda will always be Sonny's #1 pairing.  And Jax's too.  So it really doesn't matter if she returns or not.

I loved Brenda in the ‘90s and her first return, but I felt the magic was *gone* those last two returns. The writing just wasn’t there, and VM’s acting was... inconsistent at best. And I didn’t mean that LW diminished her. The writers seemed to stack the deck in Carly’s favor, which is understandable because she’s the show’s main leading lady. It’s hard when a huge star returns for short stints sometimes.

Summer should be a drug addict mess and Kyle an unmitigated whore but they rushed them into marriage and business and insist on the blandest characterizations imaginable

The feud with Sally didn't have enough meat to call for a crossover yet. Now her being paired with Jack is the only thing that could get that part of the canvas a jolt

All of this. This is the way JG has written the entire show, and it’s been this way for so long that his superiors have to shoulder some blame as well.

  3. I was impressed with Olivia Lux, especially considering she’s new to drag. She’s a natural.

The thing I loathe about Drag Race, which has only gotten worse in recent seasons, is their need to reinvent the wheel and create contrived drama with rule changes and what-not. I get they want to have a “messy,” campy, soapy show, but it’s as if they have no confidence in the CUN&T of the queens to keep viewers involved. Oh but there has to be a gag-worthy twist, gurl, or the gays will be bored.
