  1. Wow, Peacock is picking up the reboot, and it’ll be set in New Orleans like I had suggested:

Personally I’d prefer a clean break from the Showtime version. (Setting that show in a nondescript Pittsburgh was a mistake.) I’d love to see a new version in a diverse lively place like New Orleans, Miami, or Atlanta.

Why is he whispering everything in that weird breathless voice? Why? Why does no one over there tell him it is a bad choice? And if he is deluded into thinking whispering sounds threatening then why does he do it when he is supposed to be loving? And if he thinks whispering sounds loving, why does he do it when threatening?

Some of the WTF performances recently from usually good actors (Laura Wright’s high-pitched screeching, Genie Francis yelping in fear, William Lipton’s constipated angry face-scrunching, Jeff Kober and MEK’s work on most occasions) leads me to believe something has gone very wrong behind the scenes.

That said, I’m at a loss as to what Wes is doing and why no one has intervened. It’s one of the most befuddling long-running performances I’ve seen on daytime in a while.

I appreciated this joke for more reasons than the obvious, which was that it was amusing. It was also a subtle way to be progressive (by bringing up "pronouns") without being preachy or even explaining it but still self-aware enough that it can laugh about it without mocking transsexuality.
That was a good moment. That's how soaps can become more modern without being in-your-face about being "modern", which often leads to heavy-handed stuff.

I thought it was clever too. Of the remaining soaps, DAYS does this the best. I cringe at Y&R’s attempts to acknowledge contemporary culture.

My problem with the whole Florence thing is that Carly has not bossed up.  She took the woman, which I thought was great, but she's been whining about it ever since.  Jason is locked up so she needs help.  This is ridiculous.  Carly can do better than this.  However, if this gets her in bed with Val 🤷‍♀️

I think its more of Cyrus and his siblings because this was never about Laura.

True. Cyrus and Peter are way too embedded in every story on GH, and neither character works, so it’s like a wet blanket over even the more promising plots.

I'm all for 'slow moving' but I feel like the Laura/Cyrus/Martin stuff needs to start moving more. I'm losing interest and Cyrus just sucks as a villain we're supposed to take seriously. I like Jeff Kober but it's reminding me of early Valentin where he whined and cried and threatened and was supposed to be so scary and dangerous and you just laugh.

Yeah I’m over Laura and her brothers. It’s sad because I was intrigued by the show digging into her history and giving her a meaty story that could be worthy of her star power.

And GH just hasn’t been able to thread the needle in terms of giving their bad guys vulnerability recently. We could empathize with someone like Faith and still find her unsettling. I blame the writers.
