Reminds me of hearing that Julia Roberts once tested for Santa Barbara ages ago but was rejected. I forget the source, but I swear I did read that. I think it was even for the role of Kelly Capwell.

Sam Page (ex Trey Kenyon, AMC) was on Scandal last night. That's another actor who I've been surprised to see how much work he got post-soap.

Jonathan just informed me that Tika is not in Love Thy neighbour. Instead she is in Tyler Perry's hour long drama, "Have & Have Nots" which also debuts May 29th 2013.

Just to add Tika has a role in the upcoming Tyler Perry movie A Madea Christmas.
Also, she's going to be a regular on a new BET show with Gabrielle Union called "Being Mary Jane"

Just found out that the new Tyler Perry series for OWN TV , Love Thy Neighbour not only features my pal, Jonathan Chase but also former #OLTL actress Tika Sumpter. So can't wait for this show this May. This is gonna be Must-See TV.
Filming begins this week thru April in ATL for a May 29th 2013 debut

Main Cast- Patrice Lovely as Hattie - Mother of Linda and owner of Love's Diner.[4]
- Kendra C. Johnson as Linda - Danny's mother and Hattie's daughter.[5]
- Andre Hall as Danny - Recently divorced from Carmen, Danny finds himself still in love with her.[6]
- Tika Sumpter as Carmen - Danny's ex-wife who left him due to being boring.[7]
- Jonathan Chase as Sam - Best friend to central character Danny, in the midst of a mid-life crisis, he encourages him to get over Carmen.[8]
- Philip Anthony-Rodriguez as Byron - Divorce attorney of Carmen.[9]
- Valarie Pettiford as Bobbi - Bimbo.[10]
- Damirra Brunson as Amber - Neighborhood bimbo.[11]
- Palmer Williams Jr. as Floyd - Floyd from House of Payne will appear on the show. At the end of many Tyler Perry plays that Williams has been in, Perry has told him he's "gotta get him his own show".[12]

In 1990, SOU asked Tracey Bregman what her biggest career regret was. She said that when Genie Francis left GH (in 1981), Gloria Monty asked her to take over - I'm not sure if she meant as Laura or as a lead female (probably the latter). She said she was doing a movie, and she also knew Genie and knew how she'd been worked too hard, so she declined. She said that while it worked out for her, career-wise, she wished she could go back and take the offer.
I think GH was considering recasting Laura back in 1982 cause Catherine Hickland also announced once she auditioned to play Laura. When they didnt recast, CH got to play Blackie's tutor for small bit

See I thought KC left AMC to move to Chi-town so this testing for GL and GH surprised me
Not sure if this is on here, but Andrew Kavoit (Paul Ryan, ATWT; 1986-1992) almost was cast as Stone Cates on GH in 1993.

Watching the JENNIFER RICHARDS TRIAL DVD now, I'm reminded that Elizabeth Berridge was a temp Morgan Richards. This must've been just before she was cast as Allison Linden in TEXAS.
