What a great first week with so much happening! Had this been a Tyler Perry production, these 5 episodes would have been dragged out over the first 44 episodes of seasons 1 and 2.

I know some people are speculating that Dani was daydreaming but that’s something Passions and Tyler Perry did all the time so I hope this show avoids that lame soap trope. I hope Dani really shot the gun but intentionally aimed it away from anyone just to be dramatic and cause chaos

They have to know she's mentally unstable. Even if they didnt think she'd resort to murder, they know shes impulsive and violent. Having her there was torture and they dont give a damn about her mental health. Bill wanted the family there; he didnt say Dani had to be. Thats all on her parents

So Mama and Papa Dupree caved into Bill's blackmail to protect Martin from an alleged murder charge, only to set up a scenario where Dani catches an attempted murder charge. Make that make sense.
