  1. Right. Josh "leaning more into the writing side of his duties" isn't what I was hoping for.
  2. ITA. It seems they named JR Damien Kane, then when Billy Flynn signed on they needed to pick a character for him to play, so they gave themselves the great idea to have BF be Cane freaking Ashby. I still remember BF asking fans to be kind when it they found out who he would be playing. I can't believe they thought Ashby was a good idea.
  3. The actor said he's known since May. That explains his public rant. I knew he was doomed once he had posted that.
  4. I'd like to thank you all for your synopsis on how this went down with AL/Summer's exit. I'm still pissed because I liked her.
  5. I just finished this epi as well. Tbf about Billy, he went to the club to work out in the gym when Phyllis made him sit and talk (and he fired her). Billy then went downstairs to work out, then came back up to sit at the bar. Just sayin', that's why he came back. And what is Tess doing sitting at the coffee shop all the time now? First she was doing a crossword puzzle. Next time she told Daniel she was scratching out some lyrics to a new song or some such. Why isn't she at home with her freaking daughter? Or at work at Society? Really, the coffee shop for Tess too?
  6. Many times, it's power lines that start blowing in the high winds (the Santa Ana winds), then they arc or have a tree fall on them and ignite brush or whatever. My hubs worked for Southern California Edison for decades and they still call him to warn of power turn-offs. His phone was ringing off the hook these past couple of days. Low humidity, dryness of the land and one spark can be picked up by these winds and then there's nothing they can do to put out the raging wind-driven fires. Add to that they had no air support yesterday because they couldn't put units in the air. My son down there is housing their friends and their cat because they were evacuated from the Hollywood hills with tonight's new fire. At least they have a few water-dropping copters in the air tonight.
  7. Maybe that's why her performance is falling flat, because he might be alive (not that she knows it yet). But when you find out someone has just died, someone you had an intimate relationship with, I find it unrealistic that she was already going into her calm "thank you for loving me" spiel, while sitting on Dead Dex's hospital bed. There should have been more freaking out, blubbering, hollering, etc. Her initial attempt at grief was too resigned (to me). Edit: I am sitting here in shock watching my beloved southern California burning to the ground in a couple of areas. I lived down there for over 30 years, and those Santa Ana winds have never been a joke. The rest of the country can't understand what those winds are like and now look what they have done. It's a horrible perfect storm of spark, wind, low humidity, and once they get going, there's no stopping them. Praying for those communities that have been decimated tonight. Then I thought of the Michael burning storyline...
  8. As already mentioned by others, Joss' grief has fallen so flat for me. From the moment she sat at Dex's bedside when he had just died, then went on to give a monologue saying, "Thank you (pause) for loving me" (or whatever that blather was), and now to packing up his apartment, I'm just not feeling Eden anymore. I'm glad Dex is gone and I'll be even more glad when they move Josslyn on from this crap storyline with such crap dialogue.
  9. Love it! And I loved that the opening scene was of a roaring fire in the Windemere fireplace.
  10. Late to this party, but we all know Ava has always had Jerome money. This Cassidine divorce settlement money would have only been gravy. I hate it when they make Ava meek and groveling.
  11. OT: Is that Joe Burrow in your pic? I just watched them win against the Steelers. Keep hope alive, Joey Burrow!
  12. The second that Mansi took the role, I knew she'd be front and center for all eternity.
  13. I only see them needing a Jax when Joss decides to get married or something. Funny how she never speaks of her father. LOL
  14. Sharon's hypnosis scenes were worse than a junior high school play. Sharon, Nick and Michael are the new Scooby Doo Gang. rme
  15. This show today (US) was the most boring, sappy bunch of nonsense dialogue I have ever heard. What a failure of a filler show. Kyle/Clair ("I'd like to be your boyfriend". Please. RME) Nikki/Victoria, Tracy/Jack, and wtf with Ester and Diane? An entire episode of FF.
  16. Not sad to see him go. They should have offed him one of the other dozen times this punk had been hurt.
  17. I won't miss him either. He bugged the bejeebers outta me. Too much of a suck-up character at every turn. Won't even miss his abs. Rory was perfect for Trina before that big ol' oaf Spencer showed up. Trina could have whipped that Rory right into shape as a good husband. lol
  18. My goodness, you are totally in my head. I agree with every last word. Molly and the surgeon: so good. "I hope you like chocolate". "Oh yes, I like chocolate". :drool I'll get dragged for this but Trina? She's awful. And they are pairing her AGAIN with another 6'2"+ actor partner. I hate that and it reinforces my distraction when she's with another actor who is so much taller than her. She needs to be directed to tone it down. Reminds me of her angry motherly scenes with NAC when they were in the bank vault and she came off sounding so bi%chy. They ruined her there. I don't like her in this storyline with the football star. We all know where this is going. rme I am so warmed up to Sasha. Hate that they tied her into so many PC families, but she can do no wrong with me. Hope she's pregnant with Michael's kid. Willow should leave. Her turnabout in character is so off-putting that she disgusts me now. Good job if that's what they were going for.
  19. Mamie seems to have disappeared without any mention. WTF At one point they said she had returned to Detroit (I think) for business. Other than that, gone baby, gone. There were a thousand times more flowers at this wedding than there were people. And they were so worried about getting a venue. LOL smh
  20. I beg to differ on the pic on Sharon's mantle. It's still Rory's Noah up there. I've been paying close attention and they've been showing Rory's photo for the past few months. It's still him. I thought Billy had asked Sally to be his date for the wedding, but I guess not. And you're right, Adam wasn't even there. Billy even mentioned Adam's absence to Sally today. No explanation whatsoever. Not even, "Connor needed me".
  21. Ian Ward and Jordan Howard are the stupidest characters they could have ever thought to bring back. Why? Ray Wise hasn't been on since 2016, 8 years ago. How old must he be? I haven't seen him yet. He is a hoot, but this is ridiculous.
  22. What's up with the Dex character? He now has a lisp in those scenes at the explosion with Anner. This guy has had something done since his headshot in the opening credits, but I can't decide what is different about him (because I don't like him). Is it the hair? His teeth? Some eyebrow filler? I just can't determine what's changed about him, then on Friday's show he has this weird lisp. Good grief. Don't like this useless character. Let's just hope they don't make him the son of some legacy character (like has been rumored forever). Sash-uh's parental revelation is enough for now.
  23. As a newer viewer of only the past 13 years, seeing those old flashbacks of Nikki and Victor gave me some kind of creeps. She was SO young, and there was the German casanova taking her in ala My Fair Lady. Sort of glad I didn't watch back then. Oof. Also funny how so many missed the line of Nikki saying she thought all of the construction trucks were there to work on some sort of erosion of the creek. Good lines, but a lot of folks missed it and are left wondering how she would have been unaware of an entire home being built on the property, still in view of the horses, etc.
  24. I'm so sorry you lost your brother. I lost mine too. We had the same birthday, I was born on his 8th birthday. He died 4 days before he turned 30 in 1984(me, 22). The pain, I can't. So seeing these siblings not just completely break down upon hearing the news that their sis died, well, that's a soapy response but not very accurate. Molly and Krissy didn't express realistic first-news of Sam's death, to me. I suppose I can get past that. Seeing Kristina Wagner AGAIN in another child death story breaks my heart for her. I guess it must help her to live it with others through her craft. With all the sudden sex with Michael, Sasha, Drew and Willow, can't wait to see the pregnancies that will occur from this. Good lord, I have to hold onto my soapy hat for what's to come. Willow pregnant? Of course it's her husband Michael's kid, right? NOPE. Its Drew's. Sasha pregnant? We know she never had sex with Cody, but will he cover for her? Sasha will have another Q heir. LOVE IT! Good bye to Holly. Good riddance, except I'm sure she's not done yet. Oy.
