B&B: Old/Classic Discussion & Articles
It would have been around mid-2000, I think. Channel 5 had wrapped up ‘Sunset Beach’ in February of that year, and since Annie Douglas (Sarah Buxton) was so popular on UK screens, they wanted her on B&B as soon as possible, so they jumped ahead. I’m unclear on how many episodes they skipped to get to Sarah’s first episode as Morgan (3240). They may even have skipped past her actual first episode. Note: This exact clip was produced in February 2000 for broadcasters around the world who wanted to jump ahead in the storyline. Ireland (TV3), the UK (Channel 5), and Norway (TVNorge) are three countries I know of that jumped ahead. Ireland, for example, ran this 5-minute clip for an entire week immediately before the episodes started, to make viewers aware of the jump. Hope this helps 🙂

The root cause of hearsay: “…from what I was told”. Nobody from production approached anyone on the streets to inform about cast employment matters. Reading unsubstantiated articles or listening to deranged fan opinions and then coming here to theorise probables doesn’t make anything factual. Employees will always get released for an array of reasons - they aren’t victims because of it. Brad, like any employer, will sometimes need to make hard decisions to protect the wellbeing of existing employees. People (and unhinged fans) need to wake-up and read between the lines - production isn’t the problem!

I agree with you 100%. At the end of the day, Brad is running a business and has the right to hire or fire as he wishes. Fans, however, will spin exits in the most negative way to suit their own narrative - including that KKL dictates who needs to go. These fans are completely deranged; KKL is the nicest person, and they do not know her. Fans seem to think production need to provide them with explanations on employment matters - warped thinking.

ALL: Soap Opera Background Music Thread
I really loved the music cues for ‘Sunset Beach’, composed by Dominic Messinger and his team. Here are a few:

B&B: Old/Classic Discussion & Articles
A percentage of soap opera fans on social media often seem misguided in their assumptions and can’t wait to post about it to incite and drum up support. With Bold, fans frequently claim that “Brad fired a specific actor” or “those two are feuding behind the scenes.” While there may have been justifiable terminations over the years - as is common with any employer - fans are not entitled to explanations about employment decisions. Reading or listening to hearsay and rumour doesn’t make it true. An actor’s employment is no different from anyone else’s, yet some fans are quick to assume negative reasons for cast departures rather than considering logical explanations, such as an actor choosing to leave. For example, when Matthew Atkinson left the show in July 2024, some fans jumped to conclusions, insisting that Brad “fired him” and how dare he “break up Thomas and Hope.” However, it’s reasonable to conclude that Matthew made a personal decision to step away to focus on fatherhood. These fans consistently blame Brad when storylines or casting decisions don’t align with their preferences. The cast and crew have frequently described Brad as a supportive and excellent boss, and I believe this. If viewers dislike the show’s direction, they can choose not to watch.

These are already in the vault (direct download from the YouTube channel). Unless your copies are superior quality, there probably is no need to waste your valuable time adding duplicate episodes as it uses up space in the vault.
