did you not see her on Passions or DAYS? She's always been a top notch actress, but she got married young and dimed her light so that her bf/husband's could "shine" and by the time he ended up leaving her for someone younger it was too late and she was "too old" for most casting directors. I do agree that she would make the most sense as a Sam recast, she would effortlessly be able to take Sam to places that KM just is not capable.
My first experience with Korman-Hartley was on All My Children.

Leah *should* be a villain, but they are playing her like the heroine.
I don't think TPTB are ready for Leah to be a villain, because I think they're wanting her to come back for a third season in 2022.
1 minute ago, Faulkner said:And Dorinda could be mean before, especially to Luann and Sonja, but we all know Luann has some sharp claws herself and has delusions of grandeur that lead her to treat people callously. And Sonja, while ultimately a good person, has some pulled some sh!t in her years on the show, especially with the press. Those seemed at least more justifiable.
Sonja can stir some sh*t up. She really can. I'm glad she isn't this season, though, because she has been so enjoyable!
Luann got everything she deserved during the eleventh season. She did. And it felt great to watch.
1 minute ago, Faulkner said:Tinsley was an innocent (at least on screen), which made Dorinda’s attacks on her more bewildering.
Tinsley annoyed me playing the "I'm not with Scott, but I'm with Scott" card.
I get Dorinda's frustration... but, I think her drinking just pushed her more than it would have had she been sober. -

NY was on Thursday night last season, just before Top Chef. With the exception of Sunday night, which always belongs to Atlanta, Potomac, M2M and Shahs, all the other shows switch their nights up every other season or so.
If you look at all Bravo shows, all ratings are down proportionally. I don't think NYC has anything to worry about here.
The Real Housewives of New York City originally aired on Tuesdays, so I guess it currently airing on Tuesdays is a return-to-form for the franchise.
But it back switching to Thursdays last year was such a mistake, in my opinion. The Thursday night competition is rough in terms of network comparisons.
- Season one: Tuesdays
- Season two: Tuesdays
- Season three: Thursdays
- Season four: Thursdays
- Season five: Mondays
- Season six: Tuesdays
- Season seven: Tuesdays
- Season eight: Wednesdays
- Season nine: Wednesdays
- Season ten: Wednesdays
- Season eleven: Wednesdays
- Season twelve: Thursdays
- Season thirteen: Tuesdays
The Mondays for the fifth season was such a random switch up, if you ask me, and I felt they hit their niche on Wednesday nights. But, that's just me.
8 minutes ago, Faulkner said:I love Dorinda, but I totally get why she was sidelined for a season. She was so gratuitously vicious to Tinsley for reasons no one really understood at the time (it’s one thing to disdain someone, but it’s a whole other thing to take out a flamethrower to kill a gnat). Plus, even after Tinsley left, she seemed like she was spiraling, and on social media, she often doubled down on her bad behavior. For me, I was like, take a year, get your [!@#$%^&*] together, address your lingering grief away from the cameras a bit, and come back triumphant
Dorinda got too mean, and I feel as if TPTB made her out to be the villain of the season, following Luann the season prior.
9 minutes ago, Faulkner said:They did need to bring back someone, which they attempted with Heather (unsuccessfully).
They do. I think why S12 worked well without Bethenny is because of Dorinda and what she brought to the table, setting up TPTB's agenda of making her the villain of the season.
This season there is no villain, and that is ultimately not entertaining, which is why I think Heather vs. Leah failed to resonate.

The Rosales family was mishandled because they were seen as a tokenistic insta-family invented *to replace* another diverse family, the Winters (around this time we saw Lily go to jail/CK on recurring, KSJ also on recurring and the immensely popular Mishael Morgan later written off as Hilary).
I don't entirely agree with this assessment at all, sorry.
Christel Khalil decided to go recurring on her own accord, eventually moving to Canada, in search of other roles... which never really took off.Mishael Morgan's exit, as described by her agent, came down to not wanting to pay more money and the fact Sony Pictures Television causes there to be more people to answer to.
2 hours ago, Cat said:The Rosales had real potential to open up the show and the gene pool (Mia as an active troublemaker could have been part of that). Just not at the expense of the Winters who are largely beloved, especially Mishael Morgan.
I don't think, from my point of view, it was at the expense of the Winters family.
For me, it came down to the pace at which Lola, Mia and Rey all came into town.
And then the vast racist comments being made where the actors (and characters) were concerned, and still are concerned.
I know Kay Alden liked the introduction of the Rosales family... and I think had she been brought on as head writer she could have handled them much better than cutting them in-half, then introducing the parents for a blink-and-miss minute.

I think Lorraine and McTavish collaborating could be a interesting AMC.
I'd be interesting... Broderick leveling out McTavish's more out-there stories with some heart. Though, Broderick's final months felt like a return-to-form for years-to-come had ABC not ended things.

It seemed like they were chem testing him with Maxie, and now Ava.
I definitely get the sense of the Austin-Maxie pairing... even though the Maxie pairing I want is never going to happen.
As for Ava... we know Roger Howarth and Maura West play well together. But, I'mma need them really draw the character of Austin out to be more fleshed.

Britt won't go without a fight. I could see her using her diagnosis as a pawn for pulling Jason away.

Where is Emma? Carly and Robin's daughters on canvas together practically writes itself
Living in California with mommy and daddy, who should be recast. The fact Robin hasn't made an inkling of fighting for Chief of Staff at General Hospital is unrealistic, IMHO.
Have Robin come back, with Patrick, Emma & Noah, and fight to take over Britt's position.

I don't think Young would've immediately put Arturo with Mia, and then put them in Miami with a miracle baby.
I'm also DYING to know what Young's original plans for Elena were... because, I can guarantee, this was not it.
9 minutes ago, KMan101 said:Dumping Mia was a very stupid decision. She could have been the next Jill Foster Abbott.
It was stupid. She was a feisty vixen who spiced up the canvas more than any of the spices Lola ever put into her cooking.
The way she slanked into the grand opening up Society and just schmoozed everyone was great.
Plus, we missed out on Celeste vs. Mia; I do believe Eva LaRue and Noemí González could have been excellent sparring partners.
Not to mention, not pairing LaRue's Celeste with Peter Bergman's Jack was another pissed opportunity.

Carolyn Culliton and Millee Taggart really understood the essence or feel of GL. The show improved notably during their short stint and it was really the last time GL felt like GL.
By that point, it was clear Proctor & Gamble were trying to just be done. For Ellen Wheeler have been in her position for as long as she was is laughable to me, especially succeeding John Conboy.
They seemed to change executive producers every two-to-four years. She was there five; by year two she should've been cut.

I’m really liking the chemistry between Xander and Gwen. Snyder didn’t need to be killed off so quickly in order to bring them together.
Michael Lowry deserved better than the role of hit-and-miss Dr. Snyder! A true talent that should be working more diligently in daytime.
As for Gwen and Xander... I'm unsure about them at the present moment, but am intrigued to see them working together.

Honestly, the Rosales were missed potential. I feel like they wanted a Hallmark movie with them but in reality, Rey should have been Lola's father after having sex with Celeste (who would have been his step-mother, of course LOL). It writes itself. We'd care. But Lola was forced down our throats and Calle was wasted.
The Rosales had potential. And people seem interested in Amanda's clan but they get once a week airtime in some weird How to Get Away with Murder homage.
Poor writing and a lack of direction/plan is the problem with this show. Well, one of them.
The Rosales family were really mishandled; I can't recall if Lola or Rey came first (after Arturo), but then everyone came like a bad outta Hell, and it was a bit too rapid for my liking.
The moment Josh Griffith took reigns from Mal Young as head writer he dismantled the family to [almost] nothing, and it was disappointing.
Mia being a vixen around Genoa City, to me, was intriguing and she spiced things up, especially her flirting with Jack Abbott and working with Phyllis at Jabot.

I lost all confidence in lists like this when the one came out that listed Santa Barbara as the best soap of all time 😂
There are a handful of episodes and clips from the 60s and early 70s posted, but 1979 is the year where there are more than a handful posted.
I will have to check it out; am hoping by the 1980s full episodes are available, or just clips again?
Y&R Actors Out?
in DTS: Previews & Spoilers
He was my favourite Kyle.
... and why should that factor into him playing the role?
My second favourite Kyle. So under-rated in the role... but that Eden...? No thanks.
We don't acknowledge him.
That's not nearly as bad as the mass-recasting of Billy Abbott.
