  1. Yeah, they need to put up all these episodes on Youtube or Facebook Watch.  If the entire music industry can put up all the music videos and song recordings on Youtube and be able to monetize it, there's no reason whoever owns the soap episodes couldn't (and it takes care of the music rights because Youtube already has arrangements for that).  The episodes are now collecting dust, they could be collecting a few thousand or million dollars, building exposure/interest from a global audience on a huge platform like Youtube.

    Which is worse:

Continuing on with a less than satisfactory NuMolly?

    or

    Having Haley Pullos back?

I am also trying to find out if it's true that they asked Lucci & she said no & KDP was second choice to Lucci. If so, KDP's pop cultural value has just soared! Frankly a real feather in her cap. I love it!

Obviously if Haley Pullos is in prison, then she can't be on the show, but if she's available and is likely to avoid a jail sentence, then let the girl work!  Having her be productive, busy and working as an actor helps her pay restitution to her victim(s), too, and keeps her out of trouble.

What are you talking about with KDP?  Didn't Blair Cramer already show up in Port Charles?  I'd rather Dorian Cramer or her daughter Cassie make an appearance instead of Blair.  Major bummer if Susan Lucci declined to make a surprise cameo on GH, especially after Walt Wiley did so well playing opposite Lucy & Felicia.  If they're trying to develop that Pine Valley primetime spin off, it helps to keep these AMC characters alive on GH.  If La Lucci won't appear, then maybe they can pivot to having Opal Gardner being Tracy's partner-in-crime. 🤭

Portia tearing into Anna today is another example of why Portia is the second most annoying female character on this show (after that arrogant Diane dingbat).  I don't understand how/why the writers can stomach writing for these sanctimonious, whiny, unlikable characters.  Curtis needs to finally dump this loser.

  3. I agree, the actress playing the surrogate is charming.  Too bad she's being wasted on an absolute bore of a story with the show's worst current couple, GranMolly & TJ.  The funniest coupling for me right now is Anna & Valentine turning into a Sleeping With The Enemy or Mr & Mrs Smith situation.  This is probably the best thing they could have done for those 2.  LOL.

Speaking of couples, the kissing scenes between Trina & Nicolas are the most awkward I've ever seen on a soap.  At first I thought it was a one-off situation with bad direction, but it keeps happening in every episode despite both actors being good, otherwise.  Does the show have an intimacy coordinator?  They need to teach these two actors how to kiss on camera if they're going to continue as a major couple.

I LOVED Lucy mentioning Erica Kane and Enchantment this week.  Can't wait to see how the Lucy & Tracy rivalry story takes shape.  That's definitely my current favorite, besides what's simmering with Nicolas' revenge/return plot, which should be great with Laura, Ava, Nicolas & Esme (what a family of fine actors!).  GH seems to finally be ramping up with these overlapping umbrella stories, like Sonny being arrested.  I hope they send him away to prison for a long time.

  4. I like this twist of Nikolas' half-uncle Cyrus saving him for Laura, but I was hoping for an all new (or even old?) female mobster instead.  Is Sally Struthers' character dead?  Are Tonja Walker's characters alive somewhere?  I guess whoever Tracy is working with for the Deception story could be one of them because she's definitely not connected to this Cyrus story.

I didn't like Felicia propping up Stella at all.  I'd much rather Felicia stay a PI and do her mystery-solving work, instead.  I hope we end up with a serial killer working at GH and Felicia gets to be the one to figure it out!

The fashion, hair and make up team for GH is stepping up its game more consistently.  Jordan looked fabulous as usual, but Trina and Selina Wu looked stellar today, too.

  5. @carolineg & @Vee please watch today's family dinner party scenes with Jordan, Alexis, Sam and Molly and tell me who fits in that group best and who sticks out like a sore thumb (GranMolly).  I've seen the Jordan actress in scenes with solid veteran actresses like Nancy Lee Grahn & Finola Hughes and she does fine.

I don't know the Jordan character's history since I picked up re-watching GH soon after the pandemic.  Police commissioner characters on soaps are almost never interesting.  They're usually benign, boring and/or unattractive, but I like how they flipped the usual gender, race and beauty standards for this commish (now deputy mayor).  It does not surprise me at all that the actress was a model, because she's absolutely stunning and has such a calm, cool vibe.  She's usually so unbothered, totally opposite of her extended family (contrast her with the perpetually frazzled Portia who is the most unrealistic "doctor" ever in GH history or the annoying, scenery-chewing Aunt Stella).

Sonny belongs with Brenda. Carly belongs in the gutter.

    🤣🤭😂 Perfectly put.

I agree with everyone's views on 1990s Sonny being watchable, even though I still liked almost all of the other male characters on the show more than him back then.  The problem with the 2000s Sonny, in addition to what everyone has already said, is that they made him into a hero instead of the anti-hero he was always supposed to be.  I think the best acting I've ever seen Nancy Lee Grahn do was when she tore into Sonny, Jason, Carly, etc. at her sister Kristina's funeral.  Alexis really spoke for the disenchanted audience when she laid into those toxic characters back then.  I still don't understand how she ended up sleeping with and having a child with Sonny, but this current Kristina seems like the most interesting offspring Sonny has ever had (besides the Dante surprise, I guess).

  7. Loved Brooklyn getting Tracy drunk, leading to that perfect scene where she crashed into Mac & Felicia.  Amazing that you have 3/4 actors/characters sharing a cute scene together after 30-40 years on a show.  That seems so precious/rare and yet still so entertaining!

The way they dressed Amanda Setton's Brooklyn character today was perfect; really amplified her natural beauty.  I wish the wardrobe department would style her that well every time, instead of the mess they usually have her in.

And speaking of gorgeous, the actress that plays Jordan is so elegant and has such a calming aura.  I love her restrained, toned down acting style, too, in comparison to the overwrought style of some of her co-stars that get way too much airtime (Portia, Sonny, Nina especially).  The wardrobe department seems to love Jordan, too, cause she's consistently the best dressed person on the show.

  8. This Kristina recasting gets better every day.  I loved her scenes with Joss!  Finally, a fun new rivalry.  All four of the characters (plus Baby Ace) today in Kelly's are a joy to watch.

GranMolly's surrogacy story is going to be insufferable.  That coupling was better off-screen all these years, popping up briefly to talk about their not-marriage "domestic partnership" and then disappearing.

There was some bad editing in the Curtis scenes.  You could clearly see his legs move. 🥴

How old is Olivia supposed to be?  She used to party with Lois at Studio 54 when Lisa LoCicero was 10?!  😂

  9. OMG...the third day Molly is  having the same conversation on the couch with another character with that stupid stuffed animal.  I don't care if the Molly character dies now.  The sympathy propping they're doing with this recast is too much!

OMG...the second day in a row they're shoving that camera up Cyrus' hairy nostrils repeatedly!  Gross. Almost as bad as this new Molly.  This is not watchable TV.

That was a nice moment they wrote for the Trish dayplayer with Kristina in the bathroom.  It's nice seeing so many new sets.  I think they did well with this Kristina recast.  So far she's been good opposite every actor on the show.

  10. Other than Lucy, Felicia, Martin, Tracy and Gregory, this episode is the weakest since the new writers started.

Having a 40 year old woman talk about her stuffed animal for 2 episodes to 2 different characters as she sits on the same couch...that's sounds like what the old writers would do.  So regressive.  TJ having a baby with her sister is going to be nasty.  No, thanks!  As much as I dislike the recasting choice, I hope they do not kill off the Molly character after the baby's born to end up making TJ & Kristina co-parent.  Just ship Molly off screen.

I really hope Martin stole the idea of the Deceptor from Enchantment.  Tracy & Erica Kane working together would be so amazing!  Susan Lucci doing a favor for GH's 60th anniversary by making a few cameo appearances would probably help get the ball rolling for a revival of Pine Valley.  I'm also liking this Tracy & Gregory Taming of the Shrew relationship.  It continues Tracy's long tradition of being paired with handsome men (Luke being the exception to the rule) decade after decade.

  11. Yeah, Hulu generally sucks when it comes to putting up GH on time.  I don't know why ABC doesn't just allow Hulu to have GH up earlier.  The people that want to watch it on ABC live are not the same people as the ones watching it on Hulu and they never will be.

Anyways, this is the third episode in a row where things feel amped up with stories progressing, stale characters have better written dialogs and scenes have little surprising twists, like between Carly & Ava ("who said I gave up my vendetta?" LOL) or Finn & Curtis talking about woo-woo New Age stuff or Portia & Curtis' final scene to end the drama and standing by her man (even though I want them break up).  They've even made that Dr. Montague even more sinister!

Maxie's kids are the only child actors on this show I like (Elizabeth's boys are nice, too, but they're older now).

"I'm Magic" was the line of the episode.  So true...Felicia Jones is magic!  GH's own Elizabeth Montgomery.

  12. Wow.  So yesterday and today's episodes had much better pacing and I liked characters that I normally dislike:

The Ava-Sonny scenes...finally the Nikolas twist is coming closer!

The Cody-Dante-Sam scenes (what a perfect group of friends acting normally in that age group).

The Curtis scenes...finally the character has gotten some meaty material and the actor is doing a great job with it.  Hope they have him find solace with someone other than Portia!

Willow remains boring as ever, but that final Michael scene where he's saying how lucky he is was sweet.

  13. Alright, we're starting to sizzle a bit on GH with Ava getting slapped hard by the new nanny-plant!  I hope the nanny keeps this energy and really messes Sonny up, too.  The Pentonville stories are somewhat interesting...surprisingly.  I wonder where they're going to go and who that third mob faction is led by...hopefully it's someone well cast.

Carly taking over Kelly's and the Brownstone will be nice...probably the only decent thing this character has ever done since she came to Port Charles.

I have been a fan of Molly since she was ten years old. That said, I no longer believe that new Molly is the same character. The actress looks older than Kate Mansi. I would prefer Molly be written out of the show until the Halley Pullos legal case is resolved.

The nunuMolly actress is actually like 4-5 years OLDER than the actress playing nuKristina, so it's not just looks.  The whole dynamic between Alexis and her 3 daughters is a mess right now because of the miscasting (which really started with Sam being Alexis' daughter to begin with LOL but now that's the most normal one by comparison).  They need to send Molly & TJ off into the sunset for a while and bring back Serena with a next generation Ward beau in tow.  The TJ character's acting has been terrible lately and today was especially bad with the shouting and pounding the furniture.  Curtis not walking could have some interesting implications for Curtis specifically, if they wanted to go there, but his entire family's perpetual hand-wringing and bad acting for years is just too much.  Curtis should be with Anna, anyways, or with Jordan.  That's a triangle that could have been interesting!

It's terrible that they're turning Taggert into an alcoholic.  Who is he going to end up driving drunk and killing?  Please let it be Carly so I don't have to hear her whine about her $5 million fine again.

It's a shame Sasha's going to Ferncliff alone.  They should send Heather over to keep her company.

I'm so ready for new characters doing new things-- like who Tracy's working with, who's calling the shots against Sonny (and using Ava & Austin to do it) and why do they also have Nikolas?

Joss & Dex really are Barbie & Ken of GH right now.  I wonder who called Joss...

  15. LOL @ the memes about nunuMolly. This latest Molly actress is the worst casting for the role yet.  The material isn't great to begin with, but her acting choices just magnify the badness.

I cannot believe how lopsided the new casting choices are in this episode, from bad to absolutely beautiful.  They got a GORGEOUS actress with the right subtle acting chops to play the journalist interviewing Sasha in the same episode.  "Elyse" needs to be on contract, not a one-and-done dayplayer!

I'm annoyed at Maxie shaming Cody into putting on a shirt at the pool of all places (always make me wonder why people living at the Quartermaine mansion with a pool and a lake would go to a hotel pool, but still...).

I hope Cody does not forgive Sasha for stabbing him.  I'm shipping Elyse & Cody now! 😆

The Alexis & Esme scenes were compelling, comparing each character's arcs so far.  I hope that dynamic on the show remains.  Alexis is much more enjoyable in those scenes than with her motley crew of weirdly aged daughters now.

What is wrong with the Trina actress' voice?  She's had a frog in her throat all summer long.

Sad they're turning Taggert into an alcoholic.  Who is he going to run over and kill on the show?

  16. This Pine Valley jaunt for Lucy & Felicia is the best thing this show has done in months.  It would have been so fun if they had run into Opal or Brooke and caught us up on more town gossip!

I had no idea Ava was Delia Ryan's daughter.  Definitely makes me like the character more.  So cool that she's half-sisters with Olivia Jerome, too.  This is how you root characters into a long-running soap universe!

  17. These histrionics around Curtis being shot are atrocious for all of the characters reacting to it.  Trina & her whole extended family need to be phased out with their bland, boring superficiality.  Bring back the Wards with Keesha as the foundation, for goodness sakes!  If they can't get the beautiful Senait Ashenafi back, then recast with Erika Alexander or have Frank find another Renee Elise Goldsberry-caliber actress, please, like he did on One Life to Live.

As funny as it is to have Cody go up against Gladys for Sasha, Cody really should be rocking Elizabeth's world instead.  It's revolting seeing her fall back into that dead-end flopdom coupling with Flynn again.

Why is Sam wearing long-sleeved attire in the middle of July?

It was so lovely seeing Felicia & Lucy go to Pine Valley and find Jack!  I wish/hope we have more AMC, OLTL, Loving/The City and Ryan's Hope cameos woven through for as long as GH stays on the air.  That boring nail salon set should really be rebranded as Foxy Roxy's Beauty Salon with Ilene Kristen back doing comedic cameos.

TJ & Molly snapping at Kristina is so cringe.  The new Molly actress being supermodel tall and looking like Erica Kane's daughter is too distracting for me.  Doing frontburner story with 2 recent recasts of long-running characters is always a bad move.

  18. Oooh...I saw that flash of chemistry between the actors playing Zeke & Anna.  They'd be a hot couple!

I love your ideas for Mac & Felicia @AMCHistoryGH always used to end the "Faces of the Heart" opening with them, so it would be fitting that they play those roles in that way for Port Charles into the future.  Glad they finally gave Mac a son with Cody!

Kudos to the writers finally acknowledged the loneliness Tracy should be feeling.  Her parents, siblings, children are all gone, but at least she's got Brook Lynn and whatever business plot she's scheming against Lucy!

  19. I guess Maxie's going to buy Carly's house, unless Diane throws her a lifeline, but hopefully that fails.  It'll be nice if they have Carly move into Bobbie's brownstone on Charles Street after they have Bobbie's funeral. 😭  I can't imagine how that Deception litigation would would involve Carly, though.  Unless they're going back to the 2000s history of Deception when Carly & Laura somehow co-owned and co-ran Deception.  Remember when those 2 were feuding whether their girl Elizabeth or Gia should be the new Face of Deception? 😆  I'm glad Deception's back in Lucy Coe's hands.  I'm surprised Scott no longer has a stake in it.  The 1990s use of Deception was the best with Julia, Lucy, Scott, Brenda and later Catherine Bell.

Seeing Mac & Felicia with their grandson today was so adorable.  That coupling is as cute & sweet as ever.  I love that (Tad) Martin has links to Pine Valley.  I hope they do have Erica Kane, Dixie Cooney and Brooke English show up as all 3 of his ex's. 😂  Please, no Liza Colby or those Fusion hussies.

I co-sign the idea of testing Cody with Elizabeth!  They need to send Finn & Violet off into the sunset to go find Greenlee in Pine Valley or something and keep them from ever returning to Port Charles.

He's playing Lyle, the bald brother whose father humiliated him due to his hairpiece, so I wonder if they'll make him shave his head, or just wear a bald cap, because that would be hard to shoot around for GH.

Wow.  That's sad.  Nic has such great hair.  I guess this casting partly explains why he got all bulked up.  I bet he auditioned for other parts, too.  Ryan Murphy shows are so soapy good (like Feud) and/or funny (like Scream Queens), so I'm sure I'll enjoy it (though the Dahmer series was too creepy for me, so I hope this one's more like the Versace series).  Sad to see him go, but those Spencer-Dex-Trina-Joss scenes today were terribly acted with them fighting and laughing/smirking at the same time.  So un-serious.  I thought they were going to at least reveal the characters were just putting on a show for somebody to scam some information, but it ended up being pointlessly true (in a bad way).  Spencer & Trina's fight over the same thing for the umpteenth time was lame.  I'm rooting for Esme to get her man back now based on the final Spencer shirtless scene. 🤭

I did like the song that played in the episode.  Anyone know the name or who's singing it?

Any guesses on who Martin's ex's are going to be played by?  Hopefully it's a fun stunt casting.  Maybe Catherine Hickland should make her GH debut.

And are they ever going to bring Tonja Walker back?  Hopefully it's her character working with Tracy or Selina Wu to take over Deception and take down Sonny.

So I was at the gym the other day and this was playing in the background. WTF would they allow her to get on tv looking like that? She looks horrible. Someone on her team dont love her

    Screenshot 2023-06-28 at 10.48.09 AM.png

She does not look like the daughter of Kristina Wagner (who has aged beautifully) and Jack Wagner, at all.  But if they're going to keep this actress, they just need to lean into it with no apologies:  amp up the Drag Queen make up and hair & turn Maxie into Sally Spectra already!

  21. Rena Sofer's Lois better be coming back to play opposite Eddie Maine.  Seeing Tracy, Lois, Brooklynn, Olivia and Eddie/Ned all together would make for a great reunion.  Coincidentally, I just started watching Lois' December 15, 1993 debut as this current story starts!

Weird how Jordan already mentioned she was deputy mayor several episodes ago and now Laura is asking her to be deputy mayor.  I guess they must have re-shuffled scenes for episodes, but that's a continuity error.

I don't understand how this show can tediously and pointlessly have Sonny & Nina on every day saying the same things over and over again, but then let promising newcomers like Cody and Esme appear only 1-2 times a month, letting their stories just wither on the backburner.

  22. Another episode without Victor's will reading?  Damn...  Seeing Ava on every day having the same inane conversation with Nina about being an anonymous SEC informer (the dullest revenge idea on a soap I've ever seen), instead of focusing on the fact that she murdered her own husband and then unintentionally lost the body (!) is a crazy writing/priority choice.

All of Alexis' daughters now look like a motley crew of mixed-up ages and heights.  I definitely much prefer the original Molly, but the new actress playing Molly looks like a 30something Susan Lucci, so that's a plus.

TJ & Aunt Stella need to stop going to the same barbershop.

Curtis turning into a manipulative, promiscuous slut is the most interesting character trait he's ever had.  Hope GH leans into that heavily.  They need to utilize that actor's assets more fully. 🤭

  23. ^ It aired today.  It was a decent episode with Tracy's family dramedy, but I was still disappointed the Victor will-reading hasn't happened yet.

Is Sonny always in every episode?  Does Maurice Benard never take extended vacations like most other veteran leads?  I wish he'd get a hobby and go off to Amsterdam or wherever like Anthony Geary used to do.  He really is going to become the Diane Feinstein of GH

I guess we'll see the climax (that's a generous descriptor for this lame storyline) of Nina being the SEC informer when she's nearly walking down the aisle with Sonny.

  24. LMAO @Vee  "How dare any of you attack my sweet summer child?!"

episode 17 diamonds GIF  A diamond worthy line!

If the show is this boring before the writer's strike, I shudder to think what will happen when they're out of scripted episodes.  Do they already have some fi-core writers?  I wish they'd fast-forward to Victor's will reading already.  That's about the only thing interesting going on right now.  Nothing else seems to be on the horizon, either, other than if they get Tracy versus Lucy for control of Deception and Scott & Cody scamming for some diamonds, too.

I cannot believe Robert (or any man) would ever choose that annoying, dowdy Diane Miller over Holly Sutton.  I guess the real reason for it is because Emma Samms is only doing a short guest stint, but still, they could have written a more believable exit.

  25. If they're going to bring Scott's (and Lucy's) daughter back, they should start (and probably end) with Serena.  Josh Kelly's Cody (the show's hottest man currently) being her newfound half-brother is a nice family angle to explore and she'd have plenty of romantic possibilities (maybe a real triangle with Spencer & Cameron when he comes back LOL).

Today's episode was fun.  I wish Morgan Fairchild was playing Sydney Chase, though, so she could tangle (or team up) with Tracy Quartermaine for old time's sake in a hostile takeover of Deception from Lucy.  We could have a whole reunion of the fine cast of The City playing their better characters with Lisa LoCicero's Jocelyn (instead of Olivia) and Laura Wright's Ally (now the insufferable Carly).  They could have folded Tess' modeling agency into the Face of Deception campaign in some way.  Maybe bring back Azure and finally give that shockingly well-crafted and ahead-of-her-time trans character the justice she deserves!
