I can't imagine a single person caring about Austin or Austin and Ava (please save her from this pairing). Or anyone looking forward to watching Hamilton Finn (this dumbass name I swear) pine after Elizabeth while they watch his lispy daughter (who the fück is this?).

LMAO!  She is the worst child character this show has ever had.  I don't think the actress even has a lisp, someone directed her to say those inanely written lines that way to make her seem cute, but failed.  The only character in that whole Finn family worth keeping is the character's grandfather and maybe the uncle Chase.

Anyways, the show has definitely taken a dip post-Britt's death.  Wallow's maternity story is uneventfully boring (unless she actually dies, please).  Hat-Pappy not having schizophrenia and not wanting to play the clarinet at a wedding is even worse.  Why are they wasting people's time like this?

  2. LOL.  The ending to today's episode was cute with villainous Obrecht back, facing off with Esme.  I hope vengeance gives her character some purpose.  The actress they cast for Esme is the best addition to the show's younger cast in many, many years.  She can play anything so well!  I hope she has a long, extended contract.

Felicia & Cody's scenes were sweet.  Kristina Wagner is always so naturally adorable and still looks the same over 5 spectacular decades on the show.  Crazy!

  3. LOL @ Laura's reaction to finding out her son knocked up her grandson's girlfriend.  Liz & Nic remain the most compelling coupling for both characters.  They need to keep them together and in front burner stories, so of course they announce the actor's last air date is this month. 🥴

I'm surprised how visibly they killed the Britt character on screen, making any comeback for the character unlikely.  I would have much preferred her to just leave town and keep hope alive someday for her to have a proper love story before a true finale for the character with her Huntington's disease.  I guess Leisl won't have much to do now that's she's outlived her kids, either.

That snotty break up between Joss & Cam was the most interesting they've ever been.  The actor playing Cam has improved and how pretty is he?  Perfect skin, rosy cheeks, great hair.  They really cast Liz & Zander's son, from a physical resemblance standpoint, with stunning precision.  Anyways, they need to give him a winsome bad girl love interest to really torture him.  He's just the type of good guy that needs a bad girl like Esme in his life. 🤣

  4. Tuesday's episode was such a roller coaster ride.  I was sad to see Britt leave, then happy when she was beating the hook killer, even happier when she came back to Liesl and decided stay in Port Charles, then sad to realize she got nicked by the poisoned hook and may die on that fainting cliffhanger.

Kelly Thiebaud is so reminiscent of Kristian Alfonso, Vanessa Marcil, Lisa Peluso, Robin Strasser, Susan Lucci...you just can't have a good American soap without a beautiful, brunette central character straddling the line of heroine and anti-hero.  They better not kill off Britt!

The Nic, Spencer, Liz and Esme story is so fun.  I hope Esme feigns amnesia next!

Demetrius is so hot I had to look him up lol. He first appeared in November, right before Thanksgiving. Body for days, and they keep filming him from the side, which shows off one killer butt.

LOL.  You inspired me to look him up now, too.  Here's his resume: https://www.arikappatos.com/_files/ugd/ef523c_a5fdcac2751f419394f7c86d6e180a59.pdf

Why do rugby players always have great butts/legs??

And he's actually fluent in Greek, so I guess that accent is better than I gave him credit for.

  6. Aww...Britt & Brad singing Aretha Franklin & George Michael's classic bop "I Knew You Were Waiting For Me" was the best part of the show!!  I love how Britt has had these enduring relationships, rivalries and friendships on this show.

That Demetrius character is an adorable hottie.  I wish they'd let him drop the dumb accent (and take off his shirt already!  LOL).  Was he one of Helena's hot bodyguards or is he a completely new character?

Genie Francis is aging so beautifully and gracefully.  Love that Laura's still the beating heart of GH with her siblings, son and grandchildren on the show.  I hope Nicolas does not end up dying or being written off for very long since the actor is leaving the show soon (that temporary recast was so intense and good...he should be the permanent replacement).  Nic's storyline with Esme and now Elizabeth is so soapy good.  I was hoping they'd let Liz pretend to be pregnant with Nic's baby for a bit longer and see where that went, but they shut that down quick!

Liz & Nic's long, complicated history and friendship is such a fun, promising playground for the writers to take these characters & their families (especially if they bring back Lucky further down the line).  This is probably Rebecca Herbst's best storyline in 20 years!

Hopefully that dull relationship with Finn is finally over and he leaves town permanently instead of Nicolas or Britt.

So I called Hulu & asked them why they have all of a sudden started streaming the daily GH episode in the middle of the night. Their answer was that they have no control over that, that whenever ABC shoots it to them, that is when they begin to stream it. What the heck?!!

Oh, yeah, a few things to share: The wait was interminable. I was doing other things while I waited or I never would have made it. They tried to sell me Live TV with my Hulu so I could watch GH when it was on ABC. They tried to sell me the Disney bundle *before* they even answered my query! At the end they tried the Disney bundle one more time. They are taught salesmanship!

That is SO annoying how Hulu doesn't have GH appear at a fixed time all the time consistently.  There's no reason the episodes shouldn't be up on Hulu at the same time as it airs on ABC nowadays since these episodes are shot and edited together weeks ahead of schedule.

I am even more disappointed that Diane Miller survived the serial killer.

Loving the Michael/Willow/TJ triangle starting up. Poor Molly and the end of that weird "domestic partnership" thing they keep mentioning! 😂

Loving the new eye-candy with Dex & Cody on the show.

Love that Esme's back to make more mischief.

Love that Lucy & Victor are mixing things up!

The fall and winter storylines should be good with siblings Laura, Martin, Cyrus all back in Port Charles!

Thanks for posting those clips.  That was a sweet return.  GH really has done a great job with Laura's story (and, by extension, Lesley, Kevin, etc.).  For a show that was always so historically unbalanced toward certain male leading characters (especially compared to AMC or OLTL), it's nice to see her placed at the center where she belongs and rectify some of the historical injustices done to both the actress and character.

Hoping GH makes her a good offer to return as Lois Cerullo whom I  think is missing on the show.

I agree!  Imagine Lois coming back to Port Charles like a hurricane:  the mother-daughter fights to manage Chase's musical career (😂), the Olivia-Lois rivalry over Ned (🤣).  Hopefully Tracy Q can make some more cameos, too, as the ever meddling mother-in-law.  Jane & Rena playing off each other would be delicious.  GH does so well representing its veteran female characters (Lucy & Anna's scenes today were so cute), so I'm sure Lois will get treated well.

I also like the Hope recast idea @Tonksadora.  I had no idea Kristian Alfonso was no longer on the show.  Rena Sofer has aged so beautifully, she still looks like she did in the '90s.  Any soap would be lucky to have her!

  10. Terrible news for GH.  Her character is so funny, tragic and compelling with so much story left to tell.  Plus, the actress is the most gorgeous the show's had since the days of Vanessa Marcil and Rena Sofer.  I doubt they'll recast; there's very few that could do what this actress does in this role.  I hope she goes on recurring, at least, but if she's permanently leaving with no chance of return, then they should play out the Huntington's disease terminal story-- that's going to be so heartbreaking to watch like '90s GH! 🥰

Station 19 is ABC's #2 scripted series in the ratings after Grey's Anatomy, so she could end up being there multiple seasons if they keep her character on there.  I wonder if all the shows film on the same studio lot?  Josh Kelly (Cody Bell) was also on Station 19 previously.

  11. Esme is driving so much fun story on this show.  Love seeing Ava & Nikolas' marriage exploding!  Can't wait to see who Esme's mother is and how Laura & Kevin get sucked into it the plot once Ryan finally escapes.  It'd be especially hilarious if somehow Ava ends up being Esme's mother 🤣 but there's a bunch of other possibilities given Ryan's sordid history.  I don't think they've even explained how Esme found out or knows for sure Ryan is her father?  She could end up being Kevin & Lucy's long lost kid, for all we know, once she inevitably reforms from being the show's primary young villain.

I don't know why anyone's surprised about the court case being a bore, I always expected it to be as boring as the last one on this show.  It's like the lowest-stakes, most convoluted things going to court ("revenge porn" being pinned on a heroine that'll get exonerated because there's such paper-thin evidence, "kidnapping" charged on another flawed heroine that didn't actually do any kidnapping and just withheld identifying information, and in both cases with the "victim" testifying for the defendant!  This show has the dumbest fictional prosecutors and judges for even allowing these meritless cases going to trial 😂).

  12. The 15,000th episode was sweet.  Love that Laura is now the well-earned beating heart of General Hospital.  I'm not sure how she ended up with Kevin (last I saw him, he and Lucy were together on Port Charles 20 years ago before that show went crazy with the supernatural telenovela format- LOL), but it's a perfect pairing for this stage of her & his life.

I thought the Scott & Laura flashback was so sweet.  The actor playing Scott was so gorgeous in the '80s-- I can't believe Laura & the show's '80s audience would be rooting for Luke with his perm-fro and unconventional looks (not to mention a creepy rapist character) over Scott.  WTF?

The scene at the beauty parlor with Scott walking in to find 3 of his ex's plus Leisl was hilarious.  All 6 female characters at the beauty parlor are in solid pairings and they're all, coincidentally, in their 60s.  That's so rare on TV! 😄

  13. Monday's episode of GH was nice, like a comforting quilt stitched with familiar faces.  Love how vital Laura & Martin-Tad, Kevin, Felicia & Mac, Kevin, Taggert, Anna, Alexis, etc. remain.  The Esme-Cassadine story is definitely the most compelling.  So glad they cast Victor with Charles Shaughnessy and brought back the Ryan Chamberlain character.

  14. They should cancel the talk or game shows and bring back Capitol, Guiding Light and As The World Turns.  Just air a rerun of those shows randomly on the low-rated timeslots and I bet the live ratings will be the same or better than what's currently airing.  😂  Better, yet, if they want to test the 'nostalgia' appeal, then hype up a week of retro-CBS rewind and re-run a whole week of shows from CBS' highest-rated historical week and see where things land in 2022.  They should have done that during quarantine when everybody was home.

  15. GH leading up ABC with Josh Kelly's debut as Cody, Britt going on a drunken tirade into the swimming pool, Esme & Nicolas having an affair.  Sounds like a promising start to summer!

ABC really ought to cancel GMA3 and bring back one (or all) of its cancelled soaps.  I don't see how the cost savings of a "live" news-entertainment show like that makes up for the longterm streaming revenue for a binge-worthy fictional series.  GH gets a lot of viewers from Hulu/Disney+, after all.  And DOOL is apparently doing well on Peacock to subsidize its NBC performance.
