Again, not surprised. I guess CBS is stretching the budget by getting rid of their filler characters. Rey is just filler for Sharon until the next reunion with Nick.

Not surprised. Finn was always a placeholder because people complained about the Steffy/Liam/Hope triangle, and the relationship always seemed contrived based on the scenes of his I did watch.

I actually like Krista Allen as the new Taylor, but sadly it means Hunter is never coming back.
It’s also good to see Cassandra Creech from Atwt on the show. I haven’t seen her on tv in years. I looked up and said “is that Denise.”

Wow. I can’t believe they fired him. I think he will be back eventually.

Killing off John Abbott was the worst thing Y&R ever did and it marked the end of an era. Y&R has not been the same ever since then.
RIP Jerry Douglas and thank you for the 24 years you were the heart of the Abbott family.
Definitely this.
Reat in Peace, Jerry Douglass.

Billy Miller also had a man-child innocence that was right on the surface. Jason Thompson doesn’t have that same vulnerability, even though Billy is still extraordinarily immature. (I don’t know what they were thinking with Burgess Jenkins, who looked like Peter Bergman’s contemporary.)
Y&R has an adult-male problem and has for many, many years. All of the dudes feel a bit “arrested development.” Remember when Cane, Billy, and Nick were all “finding themselves” at the same time during the SSM/Mal Young days?
Ha. It’s a society issue too. 20 years ago Michelle Stanford’s Phyllis returned at age 35 and seemed emotionally and physically mature to be paired with Jack. Now actors appear and act forever 25 years old despite being over 30 and sometimes 40s.

Oh god nooooo. He’d eat the show. With JG at the helm, he’d be on twice as much as Jason Thompson (who is already overexposed).
I’m surprised they never made the switch back to Billy Miller.

“Did you make love? Good.”
I cackled.
I just can’t with this story. Feels like a Passions redux. I can’t believe this is being broadcasted under the Bells name.

IF Y&R Low-balled them, why should they come back?
Who knows what they were offered. The show has all the leverage now.

To be honest, I can see people liking Ingo's post without watching or reading the caption. I do that a lot scrolling through instagram. I think that can tell you a little bit, but to be honest we really don't know where a lot of these actors stand. Nobody would've guessed Canadian Jacqueline McInnes Wood was a big anti-vaxxer, but looking at her follows on Instagram, she is. My biggest thing with this is wondering who we DON'T know about. I feel like when they announce certain exits we will be very shocked by those we didnt expect to be like this.
Interesting. Y&R probably has a few too I’m sure. There are quite a few antivaxxers in Hollywood. Daytime is a closer knit community, so I doubt a certain actor/actress can be canceled unlike bigger names.

lmao, unless they can get some kind of Hallmark contract on lock I expect they'll be back by mid-next year.
Same. Once they realize they aren’t valued elsewhere, they will be back. Seen it too many times.

Your opinion. I was never a fan of his portrayal from day one.
Same. From what I’ve seen in my time watching him and Hunter King can stay gone. I never bought into the hype.

And then Josh Griffith regressed the character back to what it was when Michelle Stafford exited the role, which was so painful to watch.
While I am not a huge Sharon Newman fan, I can state this: getting rid of her would receive the same backlash as when Rebecca Herbst was fired from General Hospital.
I think you are correct.

I agree. I loved Sharon Case for years, but she seems to be playing herself rather than the character I enjoyed for years. Definitely not a compliment.

I personally think her, Bryton, and Brytni should all leave this sinking ship. However, I think someone posted on a different forum she did not audition well for other series, hence her circling back to Y&R after contract negotiations failed the last time. I think the same happened to Khalil some odd years ago.

My first experience with Korman-Hartley was on All My Children.
Never knew she was on AMC. Her character on Passions was whiney and manipulative, but I thought she brought a different energy to Sam the character needed.

I don’t want a woman of color holding the bag when the show is canceled.

Never saw it for either one or their pairing.

It doesn’t matter how many vets or returns they bring on, Abby is a total failed character and should have been written out with Chance.

Drama queen. DD may have done it, but I don’t buy his one sided account.

I’ll possibly watch B&B again if Sheila returns.

I don't understand the investment in Abby. Melissa Ordway can't act and can't carry a story. It's insane the focus they give to her.
16 hours ago, Vee said:It's only because she's Victor and Ashley's daughter, young and white. That's it. She's been a waste of time since she was first SORASed. The character needs to be rested for many years. Bloodline is no longer an excuse.
All of this. It’s because she’s a Newman and she fills the pretty millennial blond role.
They barely care about the Abbotts anymore. The Abbotts are a shell of themselves, yet all of Victor’s kids get consistent screen time.

I find Jason Thompson a lot more distracting as non-Abbott-or-Jill looking especially considering how different he looks from the frame of the previous three Billys.
I like Jason but not as Billy. I still hate JFP for getting rid of David Tom.

Same. I think he’s a better fit than the last guy. Ditto on Amelia. This coming from someone who never liked her as Victoria.
