In an interview Corday has special plans to for the show's 55th anniversary. Besides keeping Gering in the family, there will be more surprise returns to Salem

Link to Corday’s interview with EW...
https://ew.com/tv/days-of-our-lives-galen-gering-returns/
This stood out to me:
And yes, there may even be kissing and canoodling -- assuming the actors are game. "It's really up to the individual actors and how much they do or don't want to do," Corday tells EW. "And no, we won't be using dolls."
Would the covid coordinators even allow that? Perhaps guidelines are different, that just seems really risky to me even with the actors being tested often.0 -

His 2013 stint was decent but then the wheels fell off whenever he got scared and started backtracking on some of his storylines. It ended up a mess, he should have never been rehired.IK im a fan but has he always been this obsessed with Adam?

Alan Locher's "Locher Room" youtube show, August 7, 2020.
This is a reunion of writers who wrote for As the World Turns. The first hour is entirely about ATWT. I didn't watch that part because I never saw that soap.
After that first hour, the host Alan asks the writers what they are doing now.
Susan Dansby starts talking about Y&R. Susan Dansby announced that as of the day before (August 6), it was firmed up that she is returning to Y&R. She said she will be a "story_____" Part of what she said was not able to be heard. Not clear if this is temp or ongoing, because someone talked over her. This was already posted on the Directors and Writers thread.
Posting here on this racial representation thread because Susan Dansby said that when she originally joined Y&R (in 2011), she was the first black writer on Y&R.
The quote is first in 47 years but what was intended was this:
When she originally joined Y&R in 2011, she was the first black person on the writing team in the history of the show. And as of 2020, Y&R has been on the air for 47 years. She said she was shocked when she first joined (in 2011) to learn she was the first, because ATWT had had 4 black writers.
In her current return to Y&R, she joins black writer Lynn Martin who has been at Y&R since 2018.
She goes on to talk about racism and hiring practices.
Susan starts talking at about 1:05:00 into the video.

Was Amanda Beall still grouped with Josh Griffith?
No. But this episode and the rest of the month was written pre pandemic. So idk how that will work
If she is CO Hw maybe she won't be credited again till the episodes she wrote like the recap?

Tom casiello was in the CDNs credits.

If amanda is co HW does anyone expect any changes or is she a JG pet.

If anyone has been skipped over, it's Janie Ferri Esser and Natalie Minardi Slater, both of whom have the longest association with the show of anyone on that team.
True!, If the show was gonna promote from within, Should have been one of them

Was this in any way related to the Covid period where most of the writing team were furloughed? Because I noticed they were the only 2 writers listed for that episode.
Though given the fact that Amanda Beall has moved ‘up the order’ of credits over the last few months, she may very well be Co-HW now.
it might have been, But wouldn't they have kept her in the associate writer section?

Did Sarah Bibel do somthing to P*ss them off? First she was demoted to breakdown writer, than (possibly) again skipped over for Amanda beall as Co HW.

Amanda L. Beall is placed under Josh Griffith’s name in the credits on the August 10, 2020 episode, possibly making her a co-HW
Interesting, guess they figured JG needed help. What has she done storyline wise?

The 2020 music isn’t bad, but the original cue is SO much better. Completely different atmosphere to the entire scene, and I have no idea why they’d even touch it.BTW, I thought Christel Khalil was just terrific in this episode.
they probably didn't have the rights to that cue anymore

Brads an idiot, Even he knows he needs YR as a lead in, Remember when he blamed mal for Bolds failing ratings?
