91 is the year I started watching Y&R, can't wait to see some of those old eps!
Watching Friday's episode right now. Barf Mariah and Tessa. Hopefully now that they are going on tour we wont see them for at least a few months?

Yea and I'm not liking at all that Chelsea is going along and encouraging this. All because he wasnt chosen to temorarily take Victoria's place? How old are Chelsea and Adam? 10 years old?

Yes!!!! I came here just now to say how much I now hate Mariah. I always thought that Tessa was the annoying one out of the two, now they have switched for me. Mariah, GIVE IT UP ALREADY! You're being whiny and desperate! Clearly she doesnt want to be with you anymore! God I hope their relationship ends.......permanently!

I dont watch B&B anymore but I just saw the commercial for this week where Brooke is cheating on Ridge AGAIN! Does this woman ever NOT cheat on the man she is married to whether that man is Ridge, Thorn, Eric or god knows who else she has been married to? Seriously! WHY would any man in their right mind keep marrying her! Especially someone who keeps doing it over and over? (Ridge) I just had to say it.

Is she leaving the show? I only started watching a couple of months ago. I dont know the history of her and Mariah but I dont like her at all. Dont know if its the actress or the character that I dont like, but I wont miss her!

Yes, this! This is why I dont like his hair! I also hate Kyle's hair, Theo's hair, and Chance's hair. Nick's hair is borderline being bad but not nearly as bad as the others. lol

Wow! That is A LOT! Thank you for recapping all of that for me! Damn, Phyllis has really been around the block and back again many times! That is crazy! I remember JT from many years ago. I do remember vaguely Victoria with him (it was probably the first time she was). Yes, Diane Jenkins, I remember her! I think she was also involved with Victor at one point. Oh yea, I remember Nina was with Jill's son Phillip and then had his son who was also phillip. I used to love Nina and Ryan. I dont remember at all Neil and Dru adopting a child. I only remember them having Lily. It must have been after I stopped watching the show. Well maybe this time they can make Phyllis and Nick stick? I hate it when they constantly break up couples and put them back together. Once or twice, okay, but more than that is too much.
also I agree with you about Amanda and Nate. I cant stand Billy and they dont have much chemistry. I sense they are going in the direction of a love triangle, though. I hate Nate's hair, though. I dont know what it with the guys on this show but most of them have terrible hair lol

I just started watching Y&R 3 months ago after not watching for around 15 years. The first two months I thought were pretty boring. I was about to stop watching. But the last month has gotten a lot better! I like Summer but I cant stand Kyle so glad that Lola is no longer with him. I like Theo better though I hate Theo's hair so that gets on my nerves. Please cut your hair, Theo! lol. I am LOVING Nick and Phyllis! The first scene I saw them together chatting as friends when I started watching again I said to myself "I feel big chemistry there, they should get back together" mind you, I dont really even know Nick and Phyllis ever together before. I think many years ago when I watched I remember Nick had an affair with Phyllis when he was still married to Sharon I think? (I think this was when she got pregnant with Summer) but I vaguely even remember that. From the convo in ep 127 it sounds like they have broken up and gotten back together a few times? Like I said I barely know their history but I am SOOOOOO happy they finally hooked up in ep 127! Been hoping for it! I think they make a great couple!
I do have some questions if anyone wants to oblige me: Who is Christian's mother? Were Nick and Phyllis together a lot throughout the years? What happened with her and Jack? And who is Kyle's mother? (I dont remember Kyle at all from years ago when he was a kid) who is Vicky's son Reed's father? (I dont recall Reed either from years ago). Anyway, so Nick and Phyllis and Theo and Lola are the two couples right now who are keeping me watching.
Oh I have another question: I know that Devon is Catherine's grandson and was in some way related to Neil? Who are his parents? Also Chance is Jill's grandson? Who are his parents? (I dont remember who Jill's kids are besides Billy). Is Theo Tracey's son since he is Jack's nephew?

Cape Heights is Juicy Fun!!!!
If you are a soap opera fan, you will LOVE this book series! Even if you don't watch soaps, you can still love my book series! It is a soap opera, yes, but better!
Why is it better? Because I take out the bad parts about soaps and just leave in the good. What do I mean by that? In my book series, you will not find any stories that make zero sense and are simply not believable which often happens in soaps on tv. Some examples of this are for instance when a character dies and multiple people WITNESS this person die or saw their dead body and yet some time later they end up alive and well with some insane implausible reason how that ended up possible. The ONLY instance I would bring a character back from the dead is if this character was missing and no one saw them die and they were presumed dead and even then, only if I can come up with a really good and logical reason how it is possible that they are still alive and why they have come back.
I was a soap fan off and on for many years but what drove me away from watching soaps all together or to take breaks from it was always when stories got so contrived and ridiculous that I just couldn't watch it anymore.
Another thing you will not see in my books: Characters getting married a million times and half of those times to the same person. I love conflict and drama in relationships, who doesn't? That is what makes you tune in. But I find it annoying on soaps when a great couple not only breaks up and gets back together a million times, but when they marry and divorce each other a million times. You see it all the time on soaps. A fan favorite couple end up married to each other 4 different times and in between their divorces they also got married 4 other times to 4 other people. COME ON! Nikki and Victor on Y&R is a prime example of this. How many times have they been married to each other at this point, as well as to other people? No one in real life would marry the same person 5 times. After the 2nd time you would say "ok I may love this person but we will never work" so although there will def be romantic drama, dilemmas, affairs, breakups and makeups, love triangles, etc, I will never take it to that extreme. The couples that I want to be together who belong together will not keep remarrying each other. They may break up once or twice, or stay together but go through rough times.
And lastly, why my book is a soap but better: because this is not on tv I have free reign without any restrictions. Because of that, you will find more realistic dialogue, especially when it comes to the use of profanity and sometimes dirty sexual talk or jokes. Most people curse in real life, so therefore my characters sometimes curse or say off color or perverted things. If you have a problem with that, I feel sorry for you first off, second my books are not for you. Also I try to put as much comedic dialogue and scenarios in there as possible as well. There are a few characters who are often the comedians, (Mike and Tyson are two that come to mind) but other characters as well have occasional comedic lines or moments. I try to do a wide range of different stories to capture different people's interests.
So if you like drama, comedy, romance, some action, family conflicts, and also like something that is a quick and easy read, then the Cape Heights Book Series is for you! I try to make it as soap opera as possible while also keeping it more realistic than soap operas can sometimes be (we all know sometimes stories can be taken too far and too unrealistic) so I hope you check it out!

I know, right? I post about this kind of topics all the time on facebook and it is mostly crickets. People think I am insane, I think taking synthetic chemicals in food is insane, taking synthetic chemicals from big pharma and thinking that is somehow going to cure or help your disease is insane

haha yea I had added a bunch of recipe channels and then never looked at them even once! Gaia though isnt just yoga, they have tons of great documentaries and tv shows on there. I watch those way more than I do the yoga

it is completely insane! I read food labels. I eat a lot of fruits and veggies and try to not buy too much processed and limit my processed food intake to the organic aisle where they have a lot less ingredients. The food industry is in cahoots with Big Pharma to poison us. They make us sick with the food which then makes us go to the doctor and the doctor is given bonuses from pharma to prescribe us meds and to get us on as many medications as possible. And all 3 industries own stock in each other

I personally LOVE Nick and Phyllis I think they are so HOT together and they are the main reason that I'm watching But I havent been watching the show the last 15 years so I only saw Phyllis and Nick together 1 time and that is when she got pregnant with Summer and it was so long ago I only vaguely remember it. So it could be why I like them together so much. I think Josh and Michelle have great chemistry.
