  1. I really liked today's episode! Loved Victoria giving Alyssa the low down on Adam! I hope they can bring him down! Loved Phyllis and Nick today! Their chemistry is amazing and I hope they can make it work this time, though I missed all the other times they were together so I dont know what happened all the past times. Also feeling the major chemistry between Lily and Billy! I wanted them to kiss so bad! Hopefully we won't have to wait too long!

Maybe Amanda is Hillary's long lost twin given up at birth? Probably. Maybe Devon should find out when her birthday is. Are Malcolm and Olivia supposedly still together? I'm glad they didnt go with Amanda and Billy getting together, I feel more chemistry between him and Lily and between Nate and Amanda

I wasn't referring to SORASing kids. Soaps used to hire a 15 year old, not someone in their twenties, to play a 15 year old's role. Not that they didn't also do that, because they did, but now it's basically all you see.

I'm shocked the actor playing Faith is still on Y&R... it's a rarity.

I was just watching the remake of Overboard the other day and I noticed the girl who plays Faith was one of the daughters in the movie. She looked about 11 in the movie. So I guess in real life she really is now like 14 or 15

People forget there was a huge span of time that Victor and Nikki were not together.

I personally liked her with Jack and him with Ashley at that time, and the pull between them still being present.  I really rooted for Ashley and Victor though- both versions of Ashely.

I could never stand Ashley with Victor, I never liked them together any of the times they were together and it didnt matter who was playing Ashley. I've actually quite liked every actress that played her (I think there were 3 different ones? If there were more I dont remember). I always liked Ashley with Brad. I forget who else she was also with over the years besides Brad and Victor. I know there were others.

Summer was born in 2006, so her real time age in 2020 would be 14. She went from toddler to elementary school aged around 2009, then to teenager around 2012.

Yea, 2006 was around the time I started to slowly stop watching Y&R, I barely remember the first time Nick and Phyllis got together then I stopped watching the show for years so I never saw all the other times so them together now is new to me! lol. Yea so they aged her RIDICULOUSLY! So her and faith should be the same age....yet she is now like 10 years older. Oy vey!

Remember when soaps hired real teenagers, and young-ish ones at that, instead of 20+ year olds to portray 16 year olds who graduate college a year after being introduced?

For as long as I've watched soaps (since the 80's) they've always SORAS'd kids. Its extremely rare that they don't do it. there may be the occasional kid that doesnt get aged or only a few years. I wish they didnt do that, it drives me crazy!

So apart from the clothes and big ass phones, did y'all think the 93 ep was dated in any way?

Could it have played today as a current ep?

    yes I think it could!

1990s big SORAS were Victoria, Nick, Billy. Victoria and Nick age normally until 1990. Victoria goes from elementary school aged to high school aged. Nick is SORASed twice, from toddler to elementary school aged, then to high school aged. In real time Victoria and Nick are 6 years apart but the castings of Heather Tom and John Alden-Nelson made them about 8 years apart, and Joshua Morrow's casting made them 2 years apart even though Joshua Morrow is older than Heather Tom.  Billy born in 1993 ages normally until 1998, then returns in 1999 as a teenager. So the real time ages of Victoria, Nick, and Billy in 2020 would be 38, 32, 27.

Oddly enough Melissa Ordway and Mark Grossman are not that far off age-wise from Victoria and Nick's real time ages.

And how old should Summer be right now? I'm thinking 15, maybe? Wasnt she conceived when Nick cheated on Sharon with Phyllis?

I completely forgot about Douglas! It was great to see him, even though Victor was a total ahole to him in that scene

Technically it should have been Phillip IV/Chance who should have been slight SOARSed in ‘99 as he already was hitting his teen years. Billy and Nick should have been the two SOARSings that happened later on TBH.

So Chance is Nina's son! I thought so! Does he ever mention Nina? Not since I've been watching he hasn't. I wonder what happened to Nina. I think her and Ryan were still on the show when I stopped watching around 2005-6

I’ve only watched Y&R for 6 years so I have a few questions.  Is Jill pregnant with Billy?  And isn’t Victoria a teenager at this time?   Did they massively SORAS Billy?

Yup! Billy should only be about 27 and instead he's like what, 40? I hate when they massively age kids. Like Summer. Shouldnt she be around the same age as Faith? It frustrates me because then you have these characters that are grown adults that really should be like 12 and their parents only look like they're about 5 years older than them

Wow, i remember Victor and Nikki being off and on so many times but I dont recall them not being officially together at all for an entire decade! They must have had many brief flings during the decade then

I think almost every Black soap actor in the 1990s got overshadowed by Shemar. What happened to the careers of Dondre T. Whitfield, Monti Sharp, Keith Hamilton Cobb, Kevin Mambo, Peter Parros, Jason George. None of them really had the same degree of daytime and post-daytime success as Shemar.

Jason George kind of did. He's been in several things including several seasons of Greys Anatomy. But I see what you're saying. Shemar has to be in his 50's by now but he looks no older than 40

AHHHHHH!!!! I live outside of Philadelphia and for the 4th DAY IN A ROW they cut out the last half of Y&R for this ridiculous press conference. This is so unnecessary everyday!

I see the trolls our out in full force...

what trolls? If you're talking about me, I'm not a troll. Just a person who has my opinions on the stories, characters, and actors just like everyone else. Not everyone is going to like the same actors, stories, etc. I started watching Y&R in 91 (then stopped watching around 2005ish and started watching it again about 4 months ago), pretty much the same time Heather Tom came on the show. I could not STAND her from the first moment she was on the show. My opinion never changed. I thought she was a terrible actress and made Victoria beyond annoying and insufferable. I did not like Victoria with Ryan nor Cole nor with any man Victoria was paired with when Heather played the role. I didnt really watch B&B when she got to that show but I have seen a few scenes of her on there and I don't like her on there either. I don't like the actress. It may be the unpopular opinion, but that is my opinion. I'm sure there are other people out there who didn't like her either. I don't understand why so many people like her but you are all free to do so.  I can like Victoria now that she isn't played by Heather. That's my opinion

Anyone else find it weird Nate is dating the woman who looks and sounds identical to his cousin's dead wife?

I'm really enjoying where this Jack and Jill story is going. They would be a great couple at this point in both character's lives.

Have Jack and Jill ever been together in the past? I know she was once his step mother for a while

Traci’s sobbing over Dina was too much. How can these people know so little about Alzheimer’s? Why are they so shocked about every single thing Dina says or does?  And where’s the full-time nurse that a wealthy family would have for their mother?

WTF would Jack entrust Kyle and Theo come up with a plan to re-brand Jabot? Who’s writing these business stories?

And hotels. Abby buys land to build a hotel and a week later it’s being built? No meetings with architects? No contracts with anyone?  The Grand Phoenix is built so poorly that every sound from the outside comes through the walls? I hate shi_tful  writing Like this.

I know, I thought the same thing. It would take MONTHS before ground would even be broke and it wouldnt be THAT loud inside The Grand Phoneix!

I was quite enjoying the episode (Adam taking down the portrait but still unable to take his eyes off it a nice touch) but now they've cut into it.

Gosh, I kept imagining Heather Tom in her place and wanting to cry.

I like Amelia better as Victoria. I couldn't stand Heather Tom

Nothing matters, just like Adam getting shot, Amanda having an abusive ex, Victoria getting stabbed, Phyllis blackmailing chance... none of it will amount to anything, it's all just filler. But at least they're not going around killing off core characters.

Yup and the hotel storyline. Chelsea and Abby giving Phyllis the hotel so easily
