It seems like she's staying this time around. I liked the part about Wendy too, and how she now feels like a matriarchal figure.
Funny thing, Wendy was 40 when the show began, and Letitia is now 43.
I hope Jack is just a short-term fling, I can't see it being anything more and I hope not.

The show is in limbo/transtion at the moment due to the change over in producers and Kirkwood leaving earlier than planned.
While not perfect, there's some strong elements that they can work out. We'll really have to wait a few months to see Lorraine Newman's true vision come through.

No thoughts on the trailer, Carl?

Love it and love special effects.

I wish they'd explore her paternal line. It would be interesting to see how different her relationship is with her biological father as opposed to Den.
I'm not sure if she has any half-siblings through her father, but she definitely does through her mother.

That's not true, we've already met Sharon's biological mother, who only saw her as a friend and not a daughter.

Funny fact, she's returning 7 years to the day it was announced that she (along with Nigel Harman) was leaving (or taking a "break").

If anyone's interested, the BBC EastEnders Facebook page is doing a timeline of Sharon moments today with pictures.

That's if Patsy even decides to come back at all. She too has played games with the show, with Ricky gone, I wouldn't be surprised if they fired her outright or if she decided she didn't want to return.
And honestly, as her last stint proved, she and the kids just don't work well with Ricky there to balance them out. Carol and Bianca feed off each other's negative energy, which gets very annoying after a while. You need Ricky somewhere in there to balance them out.

Sid Owen says he's left for good and is never coming back. He claims to have quit acting and the UK, and is moving permanently to France.

Michelle Fowler's last ever scene from 1995:

Too bad the whole episode isn't up, and too bad there's no Julia's Theme (though they used it a lot less in those days). I believe Michelle was the character with most Julia's Theme closings until Stacey, but I think Stacey's record may be in a single year.

I just hope he's not another Maisie Smith, AKA, the most annoying and mannered child actress ever....

Shamelessness at Walford Web dug up this video of the kid (Harry Hickles) playing Sharon's son dancing to Justin Bieber and Sean Kingston...

Too bad they didn't fire her outright...

Lorraine Newman's first credited episode as Executive Producer is next Monday.
Don't expect to see any significant changes just yet though....

Yes, Ricky is gone again. I don't know what game Sid is playing...
I don't really think much about Ray and Kim, they seem forced, but they really haven't been on that much recently.

I really liked having Diane back for the last couple of episodes.
Sophie Lawrence isn't a great actress or anything, but she's believable with Charlie and Sid.
It's interesting that besides Frank's funeral in 2008, she never acted with Charlie's Janine, but they have great sibling chemistry. I hope when Charlie and Sid come back from their breaks, the writers will have Diane make more regular visits.
