Don't really like this song, but I'm glad this clip included Holly's monologue at the beginning defending Roger to Fletcher and Nick, I hadn't seen that scene in a long time.
1994 was such a chaotic and messy year for the show, but I did enjoy parts of the "Who Shot Roger?" story.

RIP - Corrie just doesn't make characters like that anymore.

The ratings, though up, seem very anemic for the hype and interest associated with anniversary/live episodes.

No, LOL!
MarkH and I disagreed a lot on this board, but I do miss him, even if I did find most of his tastes questionable.

Hmm, stumbled upon the Loving pilot movie on YouTube, and didn't realize that Patrick Mulcahey had co-written it with Marland (Agnes is credited with the Story By title).

Roger would've been reincarnated and played by Tom Pelphrey.

I know Curlee mentioned a few years ago that Long had no idea who Roger and Holly were, but she [Curlee] and Ed Trach pushed for them to be brought back.
She had to convince Trach that Roger's death wasn't final though, so they spent hours scrutinizing the final scenes from his first stint.

The show could have easily swept Roger & Holly away and thrown the into the forgotten box with other characters from the 70's, but I'm still amazed and grateful they chose to bring them back. Though their second stint, a whole new generation of fans got to see what was so dynamic and special about their relationship and each character as a separate entity.
Not that awards mean much of anything, but I still think it's a shame Garrett never won an Emmy for her contributions to GL. Then again, she never chewed scenery, yelled all of her lines, or went to the press to pimp herself or any hidden agenda, so it was easy to overlook her sometimes. She could convey so much emotion with one facial expression, which a lot of actors cannot do convincingly anymore.
I myself preferred the more confident and glamourized Holly that returned in '89 to the plain Jane version from the late 70's, though. There was something very sexy and sensual about Garrett's portrayal when she returned that I loved. It was the same old Holly, but both Garrett and character had blossomed and come in to their own.

Didn't see this posted yet and I can't imagine this return turning out well....

Funny enough, BBC America started airing Bedlam (which stars Lacey Turner) last Saturday, and Sutton guested in that episode. He really doesn't look all that different than he did 6 years ago.

Blackburn was not popular at Emmerdale, but he does have a longer history with Corrie, so we shall see...

No, but there was a point where they had back and forth banter, but Mercedes never wanted him (I believe he wanted her though).
Didn't they both attend counseling for sex addiction together?

Eileen Davidson ... was not an attractive woman during her first stint on Y&R up until midway through her first DAYS run.
In fact, she was just awkward looking. She started looking more sleek and attractive from about 1996 onwards, IMO.

I won't miss them. I found them incredibly boring and ill-defined characters. The writing let them down, but I never thought they had much chemistry together or much spark as characters in their own right.

Though, I do wonder how the show would have turned out had Robert Calhoun stayed and got to work with Nancy Curlee and Stephen Demorest much longer, instead of having Jill and her meddling tendencies to deal with.

Mercedes doesn't even seem like the same character to me anymore.

It's a talk show, but this was always my favorite Oprah theme music:

I hate everything about Full House, so it's to be expected that I hate the theme song too. What a corny show that would give even someone with a no-sugar diet a tooth ache due its its saccharine shitty quality.
That said, the Muppets always ruled, despite the bad movies and the Disney takeover.

There's nothing very specific in that interview, but it was nice to see them address some criticisms of the show.
