  1. Actually, Tina's carrying the child of the man she had a one night stand with - Russ Owen. Tina and Dom were having troubles in their marriage at the time she decided to be Jacqui's surrogate, so he left town and she decided she was going to be Jacqui's surrogate no matter what Dom thought. When Tina inseminated herself with Tony's sperm, she was already pregnant. This was revealed when she went in for a 12 week check-up and it was confirmed that she was 15 weeks pregnant, and the only man she had slept with in that time period was her one night stand with Russ. When Tina found this out, she told Jacqui. However, Jacqui begged her to keep quiet, which she's done, Jacqui's reasoning was that it would ruin both of their marriages. Jacqui's obviously also desperate to give Tony a child, which she can't do. By this time, Dom had come back, reconciled with Tina, and accepted her choice to be Jacqui's surrogate. He has no idea that the child Tina is carrying is her's and Russ. Now that Tina might not be able to have children again, this child is her last hope. However, she's already made a promise to Jacqui. The paternity reveal has to come out sooner or later. I really love how Jacqui and Tony are naming the baby after Max, Tony was like a big brother to Max.
  2. Crap, triple post.
  3. Crap double post.
  4. I'm an emotional wreck after Thursday and Friday's episodes. I lost it again during Friday's episode when OB left to go back to London, as Tom, Steph, Cindy, and Mandy looked on. I loved the end how OB envisioned Max nodding farewell to him and then he silently nodded goodbye back to him. The end of an era... I hope both episodes are uploaded to youtube soon, so I can share with you all.
  5. Selected scenes from Max's funeral yesterday. The entire episode isn't on youtube yet, but I'll post it when it's there. Tom and OB decided not to attend because it was too much for them. Steph read OB's eulogy and then in her own way said goodbye to Max with a song. Very heartbreaking scenes. I wish today's episode was posted for you all to see, but I'll post that when it's up. 6. OMG! Hollyoaks was so sad today. Max's funeral was gutting to get through. Also, when OB and Tom said goodbye to one another, I just lost it. Max and OB raised Tom together, and now Tom doesn't have either of them to look after him. It's really the end of an era on the show.
  7. I don't see how this show could've lasted, first of all, NBC affiliates barely gave the show any clearance. In some markets, it aired as early as 3:00 AM in the morning, who the hell was up to watch then? I also think it didn't even air in some markets. Also, on the quality side, the show was overwhelmingly inconsistent. Some times it was campy goodness, and other times it was just bad and tried too hard to be "different." In all seriousness, Santa Barbara did what SuBe tried to do a million times better, but that's a whole other thread.
  8. Wow, didn't know that. He and Marty should compose for OLTL as well then LOL, I've always thought they had the weakest background music of the ABC soaps and the most generic. JFP is notorious for reworking scoring and background music on the soaps she works for. I'm surprised he stayed there as long as he did with her as his boss. Was it Shelly Curtis who hied him at GH? I notice Corday and Langan went fire crazy in the early 90's and Curtis, Davich, and Francesca James all went over to GH. I LOVED Carly's theme as well. They occasionally play this background music from time to time now, but I've noticed that they've chopped it up so badly. "> " type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"> And how could anyone not love Sonny and Brenda's theme?
  9. RC Cates is another former GH-er I just noticed from the list as well...
  10. Aw, LOVED his stuff at GH and PC. I guess he and Julie are friends from their days at GH and PC together... I didn't know he was still composing music for anything outside of the sinking ship that is ER.

  13. Like many, I'm hooked on the SoapNet re-runs of this canceled soap. At its peak, it was perhaps that most realistic and gritty American soap to be produced. It had an exceptional core cast, add to that the fantastic writing from Claire Labine and Paul Avila Mayer during its golden years and you have a gem. So, any other RH fans out there?
  14. The thing with season 1 is that it didn't have the Melrose "feel" to it. It was essentially a 90210 for the 25-30 crowd. It lacked the camp and twisted humor Melrose would later be known for. Things didn't get rolling in season 1 until Amanda came and stirred things up a bit.
  15. Personally, after Kimberly bombed the apartment complex, the show jumped the shark and and couldn't progress. It tried to hard to out-do that event that it never fully recovered. Seasons 2 and 3 are my favourites, season 4 and 7 are OK, seasons 1, 5, and 6 are HORRIBLE.
  16. Nirvana - Heart-Shaped Box
  17. One of the most creative soaps that ever existed! At its creative peak, it could handle both serious subject matter and light campy humour. That's not an easy balance, later both Sunset Beach and even GH would try to emulate its model, but they've failed miserably. Not to mention, SB during its glory years (roughly 87-91) had the best dialogue on daytime television.
  18. Sigur Ros - Glósóli: They're an Icelantic band. However, I'm not posting the real video. It's a montage video for John Paul and Craig, told through Craig's eyes.
