  1.

Cool you share this one as well? :-)

And thanks for the uploads. The pristine DVD picture quality is amazing... It probably looks better than what we probably saw originally back 20 years on TV.

Hopefully more B&B will be released soon.

Absolutely, I'll be sure to upload it. And you're very welcome :) There's plenty more to come from these DVDs. The only downside is out of the five or so compilation releases, two of them contain anything prior to 2003. I had actually uploaded the Brooke's bedroom unveiling where Stephanie tries to strangle Brooke onstage, but they muted out a large portion of it towards the end because of that Right Said Fred song.

Thanks for posting these, the BeLieF story is one of my all time soap favourites - a time when B&B was firing on all cylinders as delicious, trashy soap.

These scenes (and the following blow up after the masseuse etc) are such a rich pay off between Brooke and Stephanie. I don't think I've ever been as satisfied watching a fictional character (Stephanie) get what they deserved. Obviously it was all for nought given the way the show progressed and horrific writing for Brooke as a character but you don't earn moments like that in soap any more. It felt like the show was spinning on its axis and everything was exploding.

It was great finally getting to see even a little of that storyline. I have to agree with you, this storyline is soap opera gold. As much as I love Stephanie, the scene right before Brooke takes 51% of Forrester, when she looks Stephanie dead in the eyes and tells her 'I've finally beaten you' goes down as one of the most satisfying moments I've seen on any show, period. Stephanie's reaction to Sheila's appointment as Brooke's liaison was the icing on the cake.

  2. Thanks so much! :)

Yeah, it is a shame about that. I'm glad to see a lot of old clips/episodes are resurfacing from time to time. A September of '96 episode appeared recently. Whether it's still up or not I have no idea, but I did manage to get a hold of it, it features Clarke rescuing C.J on the cliff from the gunmen.

  3. It's been years all I can say......even someone like Tom Fisher is probably better then most of them today (and he kind of is by watching your 05 episodes)

What's been missing, and probably will never resurface is the amount of psychological tension and build up each of Y&R's villains bought....we followed them all through their journey to madness and watch them reach their breaking points (David and shooting Danny, Cricket and Nina at the ball, Sheila holding Lauren hostage, and Michael breaking through the wall) while enjoying all the beats made in the process of their stories ....

This is the issue I'm having with our latest villain, Dr. Anderson. I want to see more of this character, I want to see her and her life outside of Fairview, I'd like to see how she operates when she's not plotting Nick's downfall, I'd like to see her associating with the rest of GC, just so she's not so one-dimensional. I'm loving the actress in the role and she looks like she's doing the best with what she has, but they can do so much better than this if they tried. The whole foundation of her character is based on the most tragic of circumstances, she doesn't have to be an unsympathetic psychopath just for the sake of it. Then again, I've heard CP thinks otherwise?

  4. I love how most of these episodes feature both Michael and Sheila doing their various evil schemes in the same episodes, it really would have been a force to be reckon with had those 2 became a couple, but it also sadly shows we will never get that same amount of compelling villains the show had at one time.

When was the last time Y&R had a truly compelling villain? At all? While I admit to enjoying Patty, did she really do anything in the MAB era other than go after Jack? And as for our more recent guests such as Marco, Harding, Ian and even Austin...enough said.

  5. The first 5 mins of that episode are on the farmhouse DVDs I have...yeah I really want the full episode of that too...it is the same episode where Sheila calls Eric at the diner, as well as The same show Cricket knees Michael in the balls lol.

hahaha Oh wow, go Cricket. That's another thing I still have to check, whether or not they have the rest of the storyline with Michael digging his way into Christine's apartment.

I have to say, being able to watch these episodes and see how Michael started out on Y&R is perplexing to say the very least. Hell, I almost wish some of the old Michael would pop up more often nowadays. I think that's one of the reasons having the likes of Tom, Carmine and Sheila around was so much fun.

  6. Yeah a lot of their stuff has long been deleted, but I'm glad I managed to repost some of the stuff so far as full episodes....I meant to get Jan 13, 93 where Sheila turns her picture into the puzzle, but I held off only cause that episode apparently had some scenes missing, and I rather get the full show when it becomes available....

I had Oct 2-Oct 7 91 in my files too from other sources, but I think they are still on my old computer....I have been redownloading even my own youtube videos onto my computer....

Here's 2/23/93 (notice the very weird time jump between the episode before and this one, I really wonder sometimes what the editors were thinking....)

I know the feeling. I was ecstatic when I saw they had May 20th of 1992 available to purchase, but something like 80% of the episode is missing so I didn't even bother. I'm not certain, but I was hoping that was the episode where Sheila calls Eric Forrester for the job interview. Thankfully, that was one of the clips from Bpkalamazoo that I managed to save. I think it was mostly their B&B stuff that I neglected.

  7. No Problem! :) most of the Sheila/Lauren scenes in these episodes  were already on youtube uploaded by Aliehslive, Bpkalamazoo, etc....but I always love getting to see the full episodes, haha!

thanks for 5/16/90! it's funny as I just brought up the scene of Sheila treating Lauren for the miscarriage on another post, haha.

I still can't say for sure if this is Sheila's actual first appearance or not, but it's still pretty close regardless....hopefully soon the next set of May 1990 episodes (May 10-15,1990) that follow the recentish ones I posted last summer will surface, so we can find out for sure...

haha I did manage to collect a couple of scenes, but a lot of Bpkalamazoo's stuff has been blocked in my location now unfortunately. But upon checking just now, I do have the opening to January 13 of '93 with Sheila standing out in the Grainger hallway with that loveable smirk of success on her face.

On the subject, I did also collect the Masquerade Ball episodes of '91. October 1st has the first half cut off though, but 10/02-10/07 are fine.

  8. An early Christmas gift, here is a couple new 1993 episodes!

January 12, 1993 (sound is a little muffled the first segment)

    February 19,1993

Thanks so much, YRfan23! I've been wanting to watch these for a long time.

I have another episode for you all as well. I'm not 100% sure, but is this Kimberlin Brown's first appearance as Sheila?

  9. I "enjoy" 2005 insofar as it's not as horrific as what followed in 2006 and beyond. They still retain a lot of the easily recognizable trademarks of Y&R (the music, sets, lighting, directing, even the tone and style of acting). Nevertheless, the destruction is there and the show is rotting. I would still prefer it over anything that followed, but that doesn't say much. It was Y&R in the most surface of ways. 2004 and 2005 are the reasons why Y&R was destroyed but, like I said, still better (and more interesting) to watch. I'd never dream of rewatching an LML episode. Ever.

(That being said, as always, my thanks for the 2005 episodes, and anything else! YouTubing soaps ain't easy).

It's all good, I'm just glad some are enjoying watching them again :)

Oh, I agree about LML whole-heartedly. While I despise MAB for whatever the f*ck her watered-down version of Y&R was, I'm strangely finding her era a lot more tolerable than I did the first time around. It's still bad, but LML on the other hand...I struggle to get through so much as ten minutes of any of her episodes.

  10. YASSS! I have been waiting for some more 2005 episodes. Thank you so much again for uploading these! December 2005 was a month I sort of remember but I was young at the time so I don't remember all of it. The Phick affair really takes off during that month I believe

Not a problem at all :) Yeah, I'm pretty sure their affair coincides with Lauren and Michael's wedding. This was definitely a month to remember, between the affair, Lauren and Sheila trapped in the bomb shelter, John shooting Tom Fisher, etc.

The Lauren and Michael wedding was re-aired so many times so it will be nice to see the episodes that build up to it...LOL (I'm still stuck in September 2005)

haha I love these episodes, the whole build-up to the yacht scenes were spectacular. I must admit, I do get a kick out of the scenes between 'Jennifer' and Lauren, even if I do get a chuckle of how the hell Lauren of all people couldn't recognise her through that disguise :D

I have to admit though, the Mac/J.T/Kevin scenes and the rest of the young generation bore the absolute living hell out of me. I get the feeling i'd be more lenient towards Mac if Ashley Noel Bashioum was still portraying her. She's the only rendition of the character that grew on me.

I know these aren't exactly 'classic' shows but I was wondering if anyone had 2011 sometime around Sharon's funeral. I wasn't watching during that time and missed that whole storyline. I know it was a stupid plot but I would be curious to watch simply for SC

I have all episodes from 2011 to present, so if YouTube doesn't block them, I'd be happy to upload them for you.

    That is fabulous thank you

Sheila was deliciously evil in those scenes, and I LOVED the music they played it was freaky as hell. Soap operas are most interesting when the have an element of horror to it!

I have to agree there, I love it when Y&R gets really morbid. Another one of my favourites was when the supposedly dead Cameron Kirsten was 'haunting' Sharon back in 2004. And I can't forget about David Kimble. I didn't even know of him until I joined these boards.

  14. thanks! :)

I'm already laughing thinking of what's on those 07 episodes...LOL...(and crying of course because of Dru)

haha I hope there's the obligatory laugh at Lily's scream :P No matter how many times I watch, I cannot look at CK's reaction and think she wasn't excited about the prospect of VR going over that cliff.

(Nov 2005) Sheila was scary as hell! I loved the guy who played Tom too, they made an interesting team. Poor Lauren was so oblivious to what was going on..

I see Jill was on a lot more back then. She was heavily involved in Jabot working with Kay, Jack and Phyllis. I really enjoyed Jill interacting with Phyllis. I think this was a bit before Phyllis became completely insufferable.

The Sharon and Abby bond was always so adorable. I hate that the show doesn't acknowledge that now. Sharon was obviously clinging to Abby more because of Cassie's death, and the fact that it made Victoria so jealous was hilarious.

Nikki always seemed really jealous about Victors connection to Abby, or maybe it had more to do with Ashley but she came across as very shrewish

Sheila and Tom, I can't deny, I thought those two had amazing chemistry, both when they were allies and enemies. They bounced off one another really well, it almost reminds me of the Sheila/Mike days on B&B in a way. I'm disappointed they killed him off so fast, but mainly because of what happens to John Abbott afterwards.

I'm guessing Phyllis becomes her unbearable self when the whole Phick thing/feud with Sharon starts up? I find it weird how oddly likeable I'm finding her here as opposed to how much she annoys me by 2007. On a side note, not gonna lie, I've been loving the character since GT took over the role.

  15. Here's Dru's last episodes. Plus all else I have of April '07.

These 2005 episodes are bringing back so many memories. I haven't seen these scenes in years, since they aired! Thank you so much for taking the time to upload all of these.

How far does your collection go? Do you have 2006 as well

Not a problem at all :) I don't have much from 2006, but I am planning on purchasing those episodes on iOffer hopefully in the near future. So far I have the first half of January, three episodes from April, Nov 10th, and Dec 26-29.

I finally was able to catch up some more haha....I actually just finished the 9-1-2005 episode....(My 15th Birthday LOL)

I thought the scenes of Gloria standing up to Tom were really good.....again I know she ate the show alive, but I always get reminded that Judith is an excellent actress even though all the stuff with Gloria basically flopped in the next couple of years, which is probably why Judith decided to focus more on her theatre stuff...

I feel like a writer who was less conservative would have made Kevin and Scotty a couple...LOL I don't ever want to see Rikaart in a gay story though he is in real life, but I can't help but noticed he does have strange chemistry with Redford here...IMO

I don't get why they had Sheila change wigs with the Jennifer disguise here, unless she started out as someone else...It's a shame the alliance with Tom made it impossible for Sheila to interact with more people during this return....

I guess this was one of Shemar's final cameos (before coming last year) as Malcolm.....Kind of weird but I never really feel like whenever I watch old episodes while Malcolm was still on, he was really on the show that much.....I know he was, but perhaps it's just lots of 1994-2002 2004-2005 episodes aren't on youtube besides a handful maybe...and he's only on one of my 94 and 95 episodes...

Back when everyone thought Khalil was leaving for good...LOL I still can't believe they brought Lily back with a capable actress in Davetta, yet they was all blown apart cause somebody though Khalil was the "ideal" Lily and we have been stuck with her ever since....ughhh...they would have never paired Cane with LIly if Davetta was still there I bet...

I didn't realize Devon and Sierra were that good friends.....and it was nice to see the original Yolanda before they F**ked it up with the horrible YoHARMONY retconned with Debi Morgan and Stephen Nichols....

I honestly could have seen maybe Malcolm getting with Yolanda here to help clean up her act.....if only they were more invested to these characters or Shemar didn't get his rise to primetime...

Nick and Daniel scenes were ok....though I'm guessing we don't see much of Daniel until the following winter when DS Lily returns..

In less than three years Gloria went from an amusing recurring character to a primary lead.  It was especially irritating because when Y&R wasn't using Jill to prop Gloria Y&R was using Gloria to marginalize Jill. Between Victor & Katherine suddenly deciding Gloria was a corporate powerhouse to Traci & Billy being marginalized so Y&R could throw Jack & Ashley under the bus Gloria didn't just eat the show alive. She consumed it whole.

Jill & Lauren being sisters made absolutely no sense but it would've been a lot more tolerable if Jill had been in Gloria's place during the Abbott Face Cream wars.

Y&R wasted Shemar (which was ridiculous because they promised him huge story to get him to return) which is why he left abruptly & stayed away for close to a decade.

Devon & Sierra had great chemistry but were dropped so Devon (like Danny & Cricket earlier) could go under the bus for Daniel who was useless until Davetta was cast.

I wonder if MAB had any big plans for Gloria after she got exposed for the Face Cream sham.....It seemed like Gloria was getting phased out right after that whole debacle and the Kay/Marge redux stuff of her being in jail with Katherine.......I think Judith decided to pursue more outside theatre work which is why she dropped to recurring....I feel like now it's JFP/Pratt who doesn't have use for Gloria (which is probably one of their better options anyways)

I agree that Jill could have easily just had Gloria's stories, though I would have hated her being shunned by everybody during the aftermath of the face cream stuff...

I guess they just wanted a reaction from fans then actually coming up with story when it came to Shemar (much like last year though that was a 2 day guest stint) there was absolutely no point at all for horrible Darius McCray to come on as Malcolm for that awful 2009-2011 stint....such a disgrace recast....

Devon and Sierra did look nice together.....I really just don't get why no one at this show realizes all the mistakes that should never have been made, I guess it's obvious what too many egos will do, though I still believe that CBS/SONY are the real evil's here for everything that has happen the last decade....

I'm not going to lie, while I certainly don't miss Judith being onscreen as much as she was once upon a time, I do love whenever she pops up onscreen. But yeah, I have to agree, keeping the likes of Gloria, Traci, etc. offscreen during the latest regime means that they're safe from being completely massacred. The one character I can honestly say I'm enjoying more under Pratt's reign is Ian Ward, but it helps that I'm a huge Twin Peaks fan more than anything.

Darius McCray as Malcolm...there's a nightmare I just cannot shake no matter how hard I try. Especially going through 2010-present again, I assumed that it wouldn't bother me as much this time around, but...no. I cannot believe they actually went ahead with that.

It's best to have Traci and Gloria off our screens so they won't get ruined anymore....I'm at least glad Traci is returning for Christmas, and I'm sure Gloria will make a surprise appearance when we least expect it...I also will admit after that appearance on B&B from last year, maybe Gloria could successfully relocate to L.A and come out with her own fashion line?

I will never understand the insane Darius McCray ordeal....what they ever saw in him was a mystery, and it was probably all just to get more buzz.....

anyways I just finished watching the 9-6-05 episode...

Amelia is really sounding and acting a lot like HT in these early scenes of her as Victoria....again it's a shame they decided they weren't ever going to write for a strong Victoria again, cause I'm almost convince if she stayed like this it would have been a lot better today.....maybe not....but anything's possible....That woman who played that Leslie woman was Elizabeth Storm who was also Sheridan's mother Katherine on Passions when she was still only a ghost....(she came back for real later played by Leigh-Taylor Young)

The Tom/John scenes are an example of why I still miss Jerry Douglas even if he still comes back as a ghost....he certainly took on a level of badass this time.....punching Victor not too long before this episode then threatening Tom...

Michael and Gloria together with Kevin look more like they can be his parents......I know it's nothing new when they cast children and parents who are only like 5-10 years older in real life, but Gloria and Michael here come off as less convincing as Mother/Son.....

I'm surprised the Winters still got a handful of story during this time...I guess I'm saying this because I feel like Devon spent so many years on the backburner before they did more with him the last coupel years and he certainly has been on a lot these episodes...I guess that started during LML of him getting backburned and lasted through most of MAB's run...

They really took their time with the Nick and Sharon breaking apart didn't they? I guess it's good it wasn't really rushed though I still hate how Nick sleeping with Phyllis will forever be the death knell of Nick and Sharon ever getting back together (well that and the writers thinking Sharon is just this psychotic freak)...

Funny you should mention HT as Victoria, I just acquired Nikki and Victor's wedding from September 4th, 2002. Talk about a blast from the past, there were a few moments there that I had to remind myself that this is a 13 year old episode and the likes of Brad, Olivia and HT as Victoria are now off the radar. I was even pleased to see Isabella there at the wedding as odd as that sounds.

While I abhor the way Sharon's been written since Cassie's death, I almost get the vibe from time to time that SC's really having fun with some of the material she's given. If that is the case, I kind of get a kick out of it to be honest. But when I hear the likes of Nikki and Phyllis constantly demonize her like she's the black sheep of GC...they can't honestly expect us to be siding with those two. I went through an MAB episode the other day, I'm sure it was near Victor and Sharon getting married, and Nikki was accusing Sharon of attempting to become her by taking over her life, and Sharon retorting with 'You started on a pole and wound up in a bottle. Why in God's name would I want to emulate that?' had me cheering.
