  1. Not "lost" per se, but interesting vis a vis Coppola's recent restoration and recutting of The Cotton Club into a much better film: I will always have a soft spot for Francis, and I've never found Godfather III quite as bad as some do though it is definitely nowhere near as good as the first two films, and has massive flaws. (Chief among them being Sofia Coppola replacing Winona Ryder at the last minute, though IMO she still has some sweet chemistry with Andy Garcia, and the loss of Robert Duvall) I know a lot about the making of the film though, and I'm not sure how much they could add or change. But given how rapturously Cotton Club Encore was received this past year, I will reserve judgment - I'm intrigued.
  2. He's doing the right thing with that message. I hope it spreads far and wide, so to speak.
  3. I got you beat. Also, in case anyone missed it the other night:
  4. This Bud's for you, @marceline

  6. He's played this well.

Lovely. Did not see this as well from some months ago. He's lost a lot of weight.
  8. I have absolutely no idea. This show is a debacle, and when they're cancelled IMO that's it. Do not assume these networks are dying to port increasingly unprofitable shows they're embarrassed by to new streaming outlets. That can and should happen for existing soap brands which are willing to completely revolutionize, but it has never been something the remaining soap networks are terribly interested in. It would be a very bad mistake to assume that if CBS cancels Y&R it or GH or DAYS will just jump to All Access or Hulu or Peacock or wherever. There is absolutely zero indication that the networks give a [!@#$%^&*] to do that. I understand some people are just happy to watch these shows no matter how bad they get, but the reality is they are dying and unless there is a massive foundational change that is unlikely to happen they will not jump to the streaming market.
  9. Jason Thompson is a great actor, but he's too old for Billy and wrong for the part.
  10. Sharon and Ian as the new owners of the pub almost has me interested in checking out the return.
  11. LOL, 4 whole points.
  12. It's fine for soaps to crib movies - they always have. When the stories suck though, and you're directly quoting Orson Welles, don't.
  13. No, it's perfectly fine. The Jordan/Boseman convo is a different item. I wasn't saying you shouldn't post the above, I just know there's more to that story around here somewhere.
  14. I'm pretty sure we posted the later discussion on this forum and possibly this thread that Boseman and Jordan had about AMC and Reggie not long ago as well.
  15. Cannot believe the terrible 2010 Y&R episode with the Lauren doppelganger (Sheila's sister??) had the gall to directly quote actual dialogue from Orson Welles' incredible The Lady from Shanghai while also ripping off its famous funhouse hall of mirrors sequence. They gave Evil Lauren some of Everett Sloane's dialogue. If soaps are going to lift from classic film, make sure the story is good!
  16. I just wanted to repost this again as well, though it is on page 1.
