TV Dusk to Dawn - September 1971

Hey guys, I know that alot of you that post here have a vast knowledge of all things soaps. One long-standing question I've had (almost ten years now) is who did actress Joan Blackman play on General Hospital? I can't find any information on the internet on what character she played and who she had storylines with. What I do know is this: She was in Blue Hawaii with Elvis Presley. She played Marian Fowler on Peyton Place in 1965 and 1966. She appears in a General Hospital cast photo (seen below): The year of the photo is a bit of a mystery. This one came from DTV Yearbook No. 3 dated 1972. One last bit of information I could find is from a book called Television Series and Specials Scripts, 1946–1992; A Catalog of the American Radio Archives Collection So does anyone have any ideas on who Miss Blackman played on GH and the years she was on? Thanks for any help!

I think this was after Tania died. Corey had something wrong with his brain and Tony had to operate on him. So, I think this is after the brain surgery. I can't really remember.

Corey is the kid who hit Tania Jones with his car.

Ok, so while slick jones and I compare notes, I wanted to post a "find" I made a couple years ago, that excited me and kind of set my obsession in motion. On youtube, they have the episodes of Mystery Science Theater 3000, that featured brief segments of episodes from early 60's episodes of GH. In one of them Dr. Hardy has a patient, Martha Lyons, the wife of Dr. George Lyons. Anyway, one day, I searched "General Hospital 1960's" on ebay and found this: " A 1964 ABC Press release photo of actress Lisabeth Hush with caption "joins ABC's General Hospital as a patient" or something like that. So I went back to the MST3 video and lo and behold, it's dear old Martha Lyons with her hiatus hernia and all. Doesn't she look positively petrified of the diagnosis.

You're welcome, slick jones! As for H.M. Wynant, I will just add his name to the list of over 5,000 names that I have compiled of actors that have appeared on the show since 1963. It's been a real labor of love, let me tell you. Matching actors with characters and the years they appeared on the show has become somewhat of an obsession of mine over the last couple of years. As for Nancy Fisher as Carol, I have no idea. Here is my best guess (from a Wikipedia entry, no less) I've put the part about Carol in bold: Howie Dawson is a fictional character from the ABC Daytime soap opera, General Hospital. Ray Girardin originated the role in 1968 and played the character until 1974. Howie is driving when he gets into a car accident with his pregnant girlfriend Jane Harland, who miscarries. They marry but face problems due to his mother. Howie becomes involved with Jane's cousin Carol during a difficult time in their marriage, but reconciles with Jane after their child is born. When Jane wants another child, Howie feels pressured and starts seeing Augusta McLeod. He goes back to Jane when he needs to improve his image to get an important position at General Hospital. They eventually separate and Howie leaves for New York City. If anyone who posts here wants to help me with my "Master List" and match characters with actors, I'll post some of the more mysterious ones.

I don't know who H.m. Wynant played, but here is a picture of Kate and Leslie Charleson I found on Ebay. I am assuming Kate's role as Nurse Gloria Roberts was brief and day player-ish.

Diana Taylor's daughter Martha was Phil's bio-child I think. But she died in a car accident during a hurricane. Of course I was only a year old, but that's what I recall reading.

Thanks Khan and amy! It was just something I did when I was bored one day. Did you guys ever see those collector cards that were put out in the early '90's called Star Pics? I have a complete set of the All My Children ones but always wanted them to make a GH set. So, naturally I started making my own a few months ago, but I got too busy to keep going. Here are a few I did manage to make.

Hey everyone! I’ve been a fan of GH since I was 8 years old and I was very excited to find this forum and especially this thread. I am going to give this a shot! My best guess is that this photo of the cast is from 1968-69 due to the fact that Pat Breslin is still there as Meg Baldwin. Adding in that Kim Hamilton is there as Dr. Adams, that narrows down the time frame to when the shot could have been taken.
