That kid was a handful wasn't he? haha, I always love how he keeps trying to grab everyone's nose, but I guess Tricia Cast didn't really want that, as she kept pushing his hand away.....it was still a cute scene.... I had no idea that Nina's apartment is now Adam and Chelsea's......weird, but I was wondering if they still used it.... I thought the Jack and Victor scenes were pretty good......the build up that led to nothing is classic Bill Bell that only he could pull off. Cricket and Danny are always so cheesy in these episodes......I have to be honest and say I always roll my eyes when they pop up in most of my episodes because they had so much airtime between the 2 of them (Cricket especially) and they basically are just there for "comic relief" and cheesy one liners.....I read somewhere once that Michael Damian said he hated the dialogue they gave Danny and Cricket because it wasn't realistic or something....LOL at least we can't really fault Bell for that because I don't think he wrote the actual dialogue......I would love to know who did though.... Chase was basically hired by Jill to try to sweep Nina off her feet so that she wouldn't be able to manipulate Phillip with her son......he also worked at Jabot. He ended up actually developing feelings for Nina, but she had already fell in love and married David.....He just "disappeared" right around the time the David story reached the climax with Nina shooting him.....I believe he was on for about 3 years.......1988-1991. Skip and Carol both worked at Jabot, he was a photographer and she was the Jabot secretary. They got married and around the time they wanted kids of their own....it was discovered it would be too risky with Carol and her disability and Skip had a low sperm count, so they decided to choose adoption. Nan was the girl who offered to give their baby to them, but as you will see on these episodes she started to have second thoughts and had this idea that if she could prove her boyfriend was the father, maybe they could all be a family.....anyways Skip also "disappeared" after the story finished later that year and Carol remained on in a completely minimal role until about 1993 or so.......I actually don't know how this story ended because unfortunately I don't have the episodes that show the end of it.....I do know that they got to keep the baby because Carol is seen holding her on the fourth of July 91 episode during the annual Abbott BBQ.

IMO I seemed to notice more of a change to Jess's portrayal of Jill after the Victor affair and after she married John for the 2nd time and had Billy.....I feel like even after Phillip died she played Jill as more campy, but not a total imitation of Brenda like the first couple years.......Once she married John and had the affair with Jed I think Jill became just more of a bitch and less campy, which is kind of how she has played it since then (bad writing and all)

Thanks for sharing! She seems like a truly remarkable woman, it's too bad she probably won't do anymore soaps......I would leave to see a recent picture. It's sad that all the actresses that brought this mysterious alluring presence and natural beauty to Y&R have all retired from acting Nina Arvesen, Diana Barton, even Kimberlin Brown has chosen to focus more on her designing then acting at the moment......

I thought Jill was gonna punch him too....It's also too bad that they decided to cut off her calling him either a lousy bastard or SOB......I seem to notice Y&R had limited profanity compared to most soaps (I guess ABC limited more though)..... I loved the Jill/Marge scenes. I had wondered if they even interacted though it would be stupid if they didn't.......I liked how Marge looks visually intimidated and annoyed, You would think that Jill would have realized that she wasn't really Katherine, since I believe that Katherine would have slugged the crap out of Jill for saying those things to her.......I only hated the part where Jill talked about her funeral because.....well.....we know why.,.. I liked the scenes with the kidnappers and getting to see there softer sides....especially with Lil and Esther.......It makes you realize why Lil choose the lifestyle she did.....though I wish we got to know more about Morey, as it seems like he was brought up well and given the opportunity at a young age........that's probably covered on an episode I don't have.... It was great seeing Nikki sort of stand up to Victor about the Jabot takeover/John's heart attack. Today Victor would just blame everything on Jack's drug addiction.....and use it to get Jack fired or something........I also like how they are writing him as feeling guilty but not disagreeing about the situation,,,,,,,I think most people think that way a lot IMO so it's not totally malicious....

Thanks for letting us know about her SoapDope......I wonder if they had Teresa die on the show......I recall an interview where Jeanne was talking about them hiring Kate as Esther and she mentioned that she needed a maid because "the old one" had gotten very ill.....I assume now she meant Teresa. Now we just need to find out who played Hazel.

I would have loved to have seen Cassandra Scenes with HT Victoria, I'm sure any scenes they shared would have led to an all out catfight! and with Nikki too.

I didn't realize Marguerite Ray got to play Mamie as secretly longing for John, like Veronica Redd has. It's interesting yet I still can't see her as the Mamie getting into all those verbal confrontations with Jill.....though I guess she got to do some with Brenda's Jill from what I heard. The writing is definitely starting to show Jack's "weeping" side people always seem to get annoyed at with PB's Jack.....I love Brenda's warmth and tenderness but I do wonder how Eileen would play these scenes, you are right about her getting in Jack's face about him blaming her for John's attack. I wonder if Victor and Cassandra as a married couple would have worked in the long run.....probably not, but I always like how Cassandra was independent and Victor always seemed to take that trait seriously.....I wonder if it would take Paul or somebody bringing up Cassandra's name to knock some much needed sense into him now.....I doubt it and Victor would probably just remember her as the "conniving gold-digger" who got Paul framed for murder.....

FINALLY, I am happy to say I have the first un-released episode ready to share!....enjoy! Probably one of the first episodes using the "updated" opening.

He should just follow my example and not mention Y&R in the tittles........Some of his earlier Y&R videos just seemed to have quotes taken from the clip, like the one that was called "You Sorry Bitch" where Jill dumped the Sundae on Leanna.

Welcome back Bold Restless! haha I was finally able to watch that episode this time! One of the best classic Christmas episodes I've seen! I love how they really beefed up their production by including a Homeless Shelter and actually showing them at Mass with the children's Choir, it was beautiful! Those scenes with Victor Nikki and Victoria were filled with such tenderness, and quiet pain, I love the actress who played the child Victoria, I notice she seems to really bring out the best of Eric Braeden and MTS. I find it hard to believe that even Victor would let whatever tension is going on in his life prevent him from enjoying and wanting to spend time with his family for Christmas.....I know we are all tired of saying this but it gets more pathetic how more and more he is written as a "scrooge" now......(no pun intended for when they did that horrible Victor Scrooge episode that one Christmas Eve) I loved seeing them at Church. It's hard to tell if the melancholy background music (for example the ones they play during the Newman Family scene) that they play throughout the episode is suppose to be darker sounding christmas tunes.....I noticed that 80's Y&R tried to sound more "modern" compared to how "old school" the early 90's did, I wonder if it's because Wesley Kenney wanted the music to sound like that and when he left Bill told Ed to combined the modern with the classic etc..... Loved seeing the Abbotts together....Eileen's hair looked nice and a lot like how Brenda usually styled it......I thought she and Steve were already engaged here....I liked how he proposed and she looked so unsure..... The Katherine/Jill/Nina scenes were hilarious though I have seen them already......Jess is still playing Brenda but I feel like this is when the writing started to shift the Jill/Kay relationship into more of a "frenemy" relationship, though they still hated each other. I always think Brenda's Jill and Katherine were always written as pure hatred, compared to how Jess and Jeanne played it. I wonder if fans were still missing Brenda at this point......Nina is very bitchy here and I find it hard to believe that Cricket put aside what she did to try to take Phillip from her.... Rex being reunited with Gina after it probably taking months for Gina to put the pieces together is the type of story the writers always screw up so badly now..... That scene with Nathan and Amy in the homeless shelter, with the little boy is really sweet! Though Nathan playing Santa was a little too obvious for my take..... who was that other black guy with Amy? he looks like he was probably on the show for a while at that point.......I sometimes have to wonder if any of those kids are actually actor/actresses that are now really famous now......It's strange that they are all in their early 30's now I bet.....haha As for SOS, I made a playlist with all his Y&R videos, but obviously you still can't see them .......The writing was on the wall when he started uploading those full episodes mostly from 1998. When I saw that they were getting deleted I knew it wasn't gonna be long......It's a shame because this was his second channel and he was able to keep it up for almost 6 years compared to when he was Tombinorway.....I hope despite everything he comes back, but after all that work I wouldn't blame him. I will make a special point of saving his clips if he does come back (which I will for anyone else who uploads)....I still regret that I didn't get to see most of his videos when he was Tombinorway........... Without sounding extremely harsh but if canceling the actual show still on the air is the key to making them less anal about uploading classic episodes, then so be it!

There are some good Katherine scenes coming up on the 1990 episodes, mostly from the ones that I never uploaded before......If you are missing her now, you will really miss her when you watch these

A news break during the 6th segment cuts out at least 15 minutes towards the end of this episode.......This is also my last 1989 episode for right now in my collection, so soon I will upload all of 1990 that I...... have Old and new!

I remember you hadn't watched those yet.....glad you finally saw them. David was with Brenda as there are some clips still out there somewhere I believe.......I don't think it was ever clear if Jill being turned off by David was because of Jess's acting or not.....the following year I know she was completely through with him as I have the episodes to support that (which haven't been released yet) I liked the Jill and Rex scene too.....Jess will always be one of the best actresses ever on Y&R, but I have to admit as much as I want to enjoy Jill these days, I cannot get through a scene without cringing......too much damage has been done to Jill for me to even believe that Jess could act the way she use to as Jill nearly 25 years ago......it already doesn't help that her hair and wardrobe has been a hot mess for the past 10 years already. Brittany always strikes me as offbeat casting.....I wonder if Bill could have made her Sheila......or at least write her in a similar matter. what did you think of the Carl and Mary scenes? I knew Carolyn Conwell was a great actress as meddling Mary, but I haven't seen alot of emotional performances like the one she does here.....I miss her and Jeanne Terribly
