I just watched an interview with Jack Stauffer from 2016 and he talked about AMC. He said he loved doing the show and said if he had to do it all over again he would have stayed on the show. The reason he left was he had married a popular TV actress( he doesn't mention her by name but it was Renne Jarrett) and she was in demand on the west coast after doing the short lived sitcom Nancy. He said after leaving AMC he had to build his career back up again.
He also talked about being on Y&R (he played Scott Adams in 1979) and said it was the only time in his life he had been fired. He said there was a line in the script that made no sense the way it was written and he decided to correct it. The Executive Producer berated him in front of the cast about saying things as they are written. He told the EP " I guess you don't want a real performance, just a line reading. He was fired 2 weeks later. He didn't mention his name, but I assume it was John Conboy. Stauffer said he disliked him.

Lenore Kasdorf and her husband Phil Peters on Tattletales in 1976. Phil played Steven Farrell (Barbara's ex flame) on ATWT in 1978.

Yes, that is Carol Roux from Another World. Surprisingly, her acting skills still seem very strong in 1992. Thanks for sharing this.
Yes, she seems to be really enjoying herself here. Maybe because they were small independent films and she was involved in behind the scenes production, it was a more comfortable atmosphere for her to work.

Many years ago a short film showed up youtube starring a Carol Roux as a crime fighting nun. Everyone speculated if it was the same Carol Roux from Another World. The same poster uploaded some more content and here is another film starring her. I think it's the same CR from AW.

I would like to be lounging around the pool at Southfork on Dallas circa 1978.

I enjoyed the Victoria Principal interview and was glad to read she looks back at the show with love. When Dallas debuted in 1978, she was stunning. She really stood out among all the blondes that dominated the press in the late 70's ( Farrah Fawcett, Loni Anderson, Suzanne Somers etc...).

In this 1974 news clip they do a short interview with a male model/actor named Robin Clarke. I thought he looked familiar and then I realized he played the guy(Ed Haynes) who claimed to be Pam's first husband in 1978. He appears at 2:46

It would have opened up some great storylines if Pam, Cliff, Katherine, and Afton all had to share Rebecca's house. Little Christopher was cute when he kissed J.R. with crackers and milk all over his mouth. A lot of people slam this poor child actor calling him ugly. I wished they had kept him instead of the later recast. I found that kid grating.

I wish footage would surface of Lisa's marriage to the infamous Dr. Michael Shea on ATWT. He is often discussed by longtime soap viewers. My Mom often mentioned him over the years. She would have been a teen when that storyline played out.

1970 Charmin ad featuring Joan Van Ark and actor Aldo Ray. Actor David Hayward (redhead guy singing/ pushing the shopping cart) would go on to appear on KL as David the guy Jill Bennett drugged and used as a alibi in the the plot to kill " Poor Val".

Dallas died when Victoria left the show. Those last years when most of the originals were gone was pure torture.

Woody Brown looked similar to Chris Atkins, only a little older. He played Skipper Weldon on Flamingo Road. He would have been a better Peter Richards.
I forgot about him. He also played Blair's boyfriend on Facts Of Life (1983-84).

I think the Mom in the bathing is Marie Masters (Susan). It is marked 1970's, but someone in the comments dated this ad to 1969.

Dallas (1978): Pam slaps Sue Ellen who has been giving her a hard time and calls her a gold-digger.
Knots Landing (1982): Val slaps Abby for cheating with Gary and rubbing her nose in it.

Jon Erik Hexum may have been a good casting choice for Peter. He would have been 26 in 1983.

I seem to remember reading Brian Kerwin (Greg # 2) also clashed with Conboy.
